Hey, i tried to install Promethius rom an its failed. so my phone was bricked so i used the SW Tool from LG to repair it...
its worked BUT i dont have phonememory anymore it tells me i have 5gb internal 8gb external and 0,00B Phonememory...
I tried to repair it but i cant root my phone because the root tool tells me a memory error..
what can i do?

i would try a complete wipe b4 flashing a kdz.
Try Settings > Privacyy > Factory Reset
I've had this happen to me before, all I did was do a restart and then a factory reset and everything was fixed. Hope this helps.

My phone is LG P999, I am trying to do software update on it, it got stuck at S/W update screen.
Things i have tried so far
1) i have tried update with LG update tool but its showing me no connectivity in my LG phone and PC error

Thanks to this wonderful link, i have tried and succesfully reached at last step where i can see all the options , i tried factory reset but its still coming back at same place where i started like S/W upgrade screen.
Could anybody please let me know what should i do next to bring my phone back to normal.
i don't want to click any wrong button at this point , please help

hi i got a lg p 920 and i just replaced the lcd screen with a new ,and when i turned my phone back on everything worked fine exept the ex-sdcard wont mount.
i know the phone is able to read the card becaus i tried to restore a backup and i was able to read the ex-sdcard and restore a backup from the card in recovery mode,but not in normal.
so im pretty sure its not broke.
any idears how to fix this problem. thanks.
im using cm7 with no ex-sdcard and backup to clockworkmode with still no sx-sdcard

My Galaxy R was bricked after I updated it to ICS (official). The update was unsuccessfull and phone rebooted. Everything was fine, my phone still had gingerbread. Then it got bricked after 1 week (dont knw why).
I followed this thread for unbricking but before flashing the ROM i flashed CWM recovery:

But in the middle of the process my device got disconnected from the PC and I ended up with a bricked phone. Now m unable to get into APX mode. When i plug the device into the PC it gets stuck on charging(no animation for charging also).
Is there anything I can do to recover my galaxy r ?
EDIT: M unable to boot into CWM reocovery and Odin gets stuck while setting up connection(flashing).

U hav no other option but to go to service center buddy.. They'll replace your motherboard and flash official ICS also.. Hope your phone is still under warranty.. Give them some reason like u removed data cable without checking "Safely remove" in your PC, it got restarted and bricked..

If your mobile is going to Download Mode then try to flash stock ROM with ODIN V 3.x

I was able to boot into Download mode using the USB Jig and flashed the stock GB firmware . Now the phone is working fine, only problem is the IMEI number.
I didnt have the /efs backup before bricking my phone, so is there a way to recover my IMEI number ?

Without the backup, there's no other option but the SSC.

Just configure it. For free if ur in warranty or else they will charge.

I went to SSC today, they were unable to repair the IMEI number. Is there any other alternative, I can try out ?
Have you done the factory reset with GB Stock ROM... It may help...
Edit: Before that check efs partition is available and files are present inside.. using terminal emulator or adb...

Buddy they found out that i rooted the phone through the generic IMEI number displayed (004999XXXX) even though the counter was reset. They were like OMG, I am a criminal lol, how can I root a phone. It was of no use talking to them, previously they were compelling me to buy a new mobo when I bricked the galaxy r :laugh: .

I am using FileExpert and I can see the nv_data.bin and nv_data.bin.md5 files. In the process of unbricking the galaxy r I did flash the stock indian GB and did the factory reset, now its displaying generic IMEI.

Don't tell him that you have rooted and lost IMEI, tell him some story..
Gys I followed the guide to root my phone with CWM recovery but there is no root access. Root checker gets stuck and busybox says problem with root permissions. I can see the superuser app, dont knw what is the problem ? I just need to backup the /efs folder.

i'm just new and less knowledge about rooting.. i'm just try to root my xperia tipo dual phone but accidently wipe all data ( os maybe) in internal phone.. then when i try to restart it,.. still have vibration and only shown a word sony.. then it stuck there for a long time.. repeatly i try to restart it still the same.. can anyone help or give a solution how to do or how to recover back my os or operating system... i'm try to solve with step propose by android.syokzone.com and by solution propose in this forum like using flashtool, but when i do that and flash the FTF it's stuck with 0 % for a long time..

i use Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v3... after then i'm try to use TWRP but accidently wipe whole internal data.. what's a bad luck ;(

Best option is to download a FTF file and flash it using flashtool.
I don't think you're going to get the files on internal memory back, although, you can try to use a tool like "Recuva" to scan the mounted disk after you've restored the firmware with, like I said, flashing it with flashtool.
Other thing you can try is using the Sony Update Service in PC companion to re-install your phones firmware.
Now, what did you exactly wipe? Did you use a "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" option or something like "Wipe System".
If it was the first, it's strange that your phone is in a bootloop, data usually has not much to do with the system (/firmware)...

not really sure but i think wipe system or accidently maybe whole system and android secure ( maybe ).. a few hours ago, i go to sony repair center.. they tried to flash it / upgrade using SEUS but undetected device.. then they just ask me to leave that phone for 3 days minimum to solve it.. i just left it.. now i'm waiting for their answer.. hope everything okay .. ( i'm try using flashtool, SE bootloader , sony pc comp and SEUS also but cannot solve this problem).. now i'm blank and what to do, just sent it to repair center .. if they can solve, i hope they can give me their step or solution

dOWNLOAD A CUSTOM rom and custom recovery then format your /system and /data also /cache / and dalvik cache then install the custom rom fresh

Can i get the link to download that custom file and a video to understand how to do it.
