3G on T-Mobile? - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to get 3G to work on T - Mobile like the Note 1? That would be great to be able to swap out my T- Mobile sim card and make phone calls.

Unfortunately no. The note 10.1 lacks t-mobile's 1700 band for 3g. The fastest speed you will get is 2g (edge).

Thanks for getting back to me.

S3 verizon to tmobile ?

Any way to make my s3 w/verizon work on tmobile or vice versa? No full unlocks?

I believe you have to switch it to global, but because it doesn't have tmobiles 1700 band, you will be restricted to edge speeds.

FCC approves S4

One thing I haven't seen anyone talk about is does the s4 have simultaneous voice and data like the s3? I know it will for gsm but what about CDMA? I have the verizon gs3 and love the feature. It even does it while on 3g (only a handful of phones do this on 3g CDMA)

Now if we can just get the AT&T version approved.

[Q] getting 3g on t mobile network

anybody figure out how to get 3g or hspa on t mobile network with a Verizon gs3
Just go buy a tmobile phone. Then you will know it will work. Your messaging would also work and we wouldn't have 2 threads about this.

[Q] What GSM/HSPA frequencies are supported?

I'll be switching to T-Mobile soon and wanted to use my SCH-I535 as a stopgap until the LG G3 comes out.
What GSM or hspa frequencies are supported?

Read post #3. That's about the most technical info that I recall about specific GSM radios.
That's the best info I've seen. It also confirms my experience on DTAC on the Verizon GS3 in Thailand. They use 1800 GSM & 850/2100 HSPA.
I guess I'll be rough'n it until I find my next phone.

That's great! I've wanted to use my S3 for the next time I travel abroad but I haven't found my way away from the states yet in over a year. Glad I could help out a bit.

T-Mobile wideband LTE speedtest?

Anybody have a screenshot of a T-Mobile wideband LTE speedtest with at least 4 bars?
Wondering what this phone is capable of for wideband LTE.
