Hey guys,
I have two quick questions:
Does the default TTS require an internet connection?
Would it be better to store TTS files and play them if available instead of generating a new one every time, both in terms of performance and connection (if it's used)?
Thank you
I believe it doesmt .

Hi Guys,
Is there any application available through which we can track particular android device on Map.
Say there are two users A and B (using "X" application) such that A and B can locate each other on google map.
EDIT: I got one app GPS Tracking, still testing..its not compatible with my Sony Tab
google maps includes latitude. They can use that application.
Cerberus?

Try Glympse, you can share your location in real time with your friends, I think this is what you need.

Glympse.com
Check out glympse.com, you can setup how long you share and it can be shared with any one with a SMS or email address.
Do you mean record a path automatically just on your phone? Then use My Tracks, works pretty good.

What if I don't need a periodical updates.
I'd like just if someone wants to see my actual location, he opens the app, selects me and his app will send a ping to my phone which will once update my location and send it back to my friend, who will see my current location on the map. So that everything runs on the background without me even knowing.
I've been looking for such app for some time now, but without success.
Do anyone knows how to do that? Is there some app or whatever?
Thanks for ideas.
With Cerberus you can set it up so that 3 friends can send you an sms and get your location.
Has anyone else noticed that the Google now search voice is a lot of times cut off when giving definitions. Is there a setting to enable the whole definition being spoken? I've noticed when she does get cut off, it corresponds with the definition ending short on the Google card displayed. Thanks.

I have been using this software since January 2013
However, I am posting this now because they have recently updated their software...
Its way, way better than it was before... its a must try
Its a completely Free GPS software that allows you to navigate offline maps
including turn by turn directions for any map in the world... for real...
you just download the map you want to your device and your done!
this means you don't use any data at all while navigating
this goes for walking, bicycling or driving etc...
This is a must-have even if you have an unlimited data plan
for when you make long trips or travel abroad...
It's Called Navmii Navfree... it's available at the play store
You can choose from 2 Different Versions:
1- Navfree USA (For USA, Canada and Mexico)
or
2- Navfree World (For the rest of the world!)
I hope you all enjoy this software as much as I do... Cheers M8s

Really no Dubai??
I am sorry I
thought they had all world maps in Navfree World
hi, thanks for share..
can we add map to this gps?
It's not fully offline. Only UK users can do offline address search, otherwise you need internet connection. Decent for users with data connection though

I really appreciate your input m8
I am in Toronto Canada
been using it since january 2013...
and I did not have data on my plan till last month...
I was able to navigate offline just by browsing the offline map and tapping a spot
and clicking route here... and it worked amazing completely offline...
but you are correct it won't do an address number search without data
cheers m8
Hi all.
I have tried classic ways but couldn't manage to port it. I guess my knowledge wasnt enough..
With monitor app you can control every apps connection seperately. For instance you can limit whatsapp to access internet solely over wifi or 3g..
And many other options..
Can anyone do it? Or is it done anyhow?

List any app provider you've found to be malicious. Include app store and individual app(s) versions. Also how they are infective or defective. This is only meant to spread awareness, not to bash certain application developers. Thanks for your help
Edit: i.e.- when searching aptoide for app in a particular store, and scroll down to comments to double check authenticity, the comments are combined for every version of the app in that store, and the app can be added to another store- that's why I'm interested in version #
Please no general comments

Black market has the most viruses IMO... Safest app provider is aptoide, hands down
I always use coolmarket, its chinese but virus free

App Stores
Best to stick to Google Play, but some people (like me) are not allowed to spend (as i'm only 14). i have to use apk's for some apps that i cant live without like nova launcher and pocket casts.
I'd say the Swiftkey data logging thing is probably the riskiest. Best to stick to Google Keyboard or Sense keyboard
Just my 2 pence
Getapk I've been using for two years now no problems yet and is updated with newest apps daily
