Wrong forum buddy, but you can try, they're ALMOST the same device but different hardware and such. But I suggest you look in YOUR phone's forum because there might be a chance something could go wrong.
This forum is for the Galaxy S "4G"/T959V or T959W (Wind mobile)

Make sure when you ask for help, you represent exactly which phone you have: GT-i9000M.
Don't ever flash a rom/odin/heimdall/whatever if it is not meant for you phone.
If you aren't sure, ask first.

Found a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III. How can I unlock it?

I found a stock Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III. In the "About Device" section, it says the model is SCH-I535. I'm extremely new to android and rooting, etc. This is my first android phone.
If possible, how can I unlock this phone to use for T-Mobile USA? Also, if it does unlock, will I get 4G data speed on the phone?
Thank you,
Jason

its not going to work properly on t-mobile...yet I should say.
fyi check my guide in the dev section...section 7 directory, should be a link to unlocking device for gsm capability.
How about attempt to get it back to its owner?
OK, first off the carrier will never give you the owner information. Second, other than calling the number in about phone there is no other way to get it to the previous owner. You can try calling the most recent dialed to try and get it back to the owner but if they already claimed it as lost on their insurance there is no going back. They do not stop the claim.. Third, I will not tolerate abuse on my forums.
Thank you for your cooperation

Hey buddy you may want to ask this in the international forum. This is the Verizon forum and I'd guess the files are different on or phone then yours.

[Q] Bad quality communications

Hi,
My Galaxy S3 has problem with calls for one month : 1 or 2 bars / 4. In the same place it used to be 4 bars. The phone hangs up very often.
Do you think it is related to the phone or the provider ?
Model : GT-I9300
Version : 4.1.2
Firmware : I9300XXEMC2
Kernel : 3.0.31-1071725
Regards,
HP
are you asking specifically about verizon problem in your area or wanting to know about the phone because you have the international version of the S3 and would probably have more specific answers from that forum instead of the verizon one.
Hi,
I suppose the problem is related to the phone itself but I don't know how to diagnose it. So I'm looking for a way to debug the phone, for the calls specifically.
FYI, I use a french provider, Orange.

I would suggest looking in the I9300 thread for more specific help. I know there are some highly intelligent members in this thread but using a different device I am afraid to have you try anything because I don't want to mention something and you try but brick your device

[Q] root for a Korean Galaxy noste 10.1

Hi there all!
I just got a new galaxy note 10.1 from South Korea and I have some questions.
I tried to find a guide to root the device but I couldn't find anyone specific for this model,
and I'm not sure if it's because I'm new to android (former apple fan, first android based device I own),or just because there aren't any
I hope someone can help me and guide me a little bit
Many thanks

I've got the same model that I bought when I lived in Korea last year. The file I've used to root is called
CF-Auto-Root-p4notewifiany-p4notewifiany-shwm480w.tar.md5
I got it somewhere here on the forum (don't remember where, so search for it. I just install it with Odin (again, read the root section on how to use Odin)
As for other firmware, I haven't had much luck. For some reason, the FW installs, but won't fully boot (boot-loops at Samsung screen). I haven't asked any of the smart people on here for help, but there is probably some trick to it. This model appears identical hardware-wise to the 801x models, but I guess it's not. I ran into the same problems with my original Galaxy S phone when I lived in Korea, only it was much different hardware-wise than the international version.
So rooting is easy, other FW, I haven't had luck with, but I haven't tried that hard to change it, either. There have been a few posts specific to this model on here, so search for them, too. But again, very little info on this model.
