Hey buddy you may want to ask this in the international forum. This is the Verizon forum and I'd guess the files are different on or phone then yours.

I'm getting it today maybe.
Phone's similar to Galaxy S 3 mini but not identical. Screen is smaller, dimension is little different, no NFC, different screen type, and no gorilla.
What I wanna know is if extended battery for S3mini is compatible with T599.
recover bricked sgh t-599
hi all
i have tried to root my galaxy exhibit t599, it is running on android 4.12.
i used odin 3.04 to flash cwm version recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.2.7-golden.tar, than i tried to boot into the cwm recovery but it didnt work so i connected to the phone via adb and ran "adb reboot recovery". now my phone keeps on restarting, seems like it cant get into the recovery but will keep on reboot to try.
the only other access i can have to the phone is download mode, any help would be appriciated
thanks
Why is there no support for the t599?
Is there a plan for a t599 forum?
I would also love to see a forum for the T599 (Samsung Galaxy Exhibit in US, Samsung Galaxy Ace II e in Canada) myself too.
Here are some known specs:
ST-Ericsson NovaThor U8420 (w/ ARM Mali 400)
2G GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G HSDPA 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100
Android 4.1.2
4 GB internal storage
1 GB of RAM
microSD card support
3.8" screen w/ 480x800 resolution
1500 mAh removable battery
Other than the smaller screen size, different radio band support, lack of NFC and smaller internal storage, looks like it's nearly identical to the international Samsung Galaxy S 3 Mini. Uses the same SoC.

I just got this phone. I think it's called Samsung Galaxy Exhibit, T599. I'm also trying to root the phone but i'm having problems iwth it. I dl'ed the zerg_rush_root.rar file and ran the .bat file. But it kept giving me errors like location not found, unable to mount, etc... I want to know if i'd be able to reboot into recovery, then run the zerg rush.rar file from there and if it would work that way. Anyone had any success rooting this phone yet? If so, how'd u do it? I'd really like to know cause i want to erase all the bloatware.
Thanks

I just got one too, only about a gig available for apps so to be able to use something like ICS SD Binder would be nice.
The zerg_rush_root.rar did not work with my T599, I think it's just for the Exhibit II 4G
The naming of these phones does not help with searching!!
Exhibit 4G (Galaxy S variant) 2011
Exhibit II 4G T679 (Galaxy W variant) 2011
Galaxy Exhibit 4G (software update of the Exhibit II 4G) 2012
Galaxy Exhibit T599 (S III Mini variant) (this phone) 2013
The cydia impactor root method works on the t599. I put an ext4 partition on my sd card and am successfully using the link2sd app from the play store.
You can follow this thread in S3 mini forum for now. [System Dump] SGH-T599 (4.1.2) JZO54K.T599UVAMB5
You'll find a systemdump, rootmethod and original recovery to flash with Odin. Good news is also that Triangle Away works to reset custom binary count.
Hopefully someone is trying to build a custom recovery for it as well.
Thanks everyone for the info. Finally have my t599 rooted.

Help Unlocking rooted SGH-T599N
BRAND NOOB*
I've got the Metro PCS sgh-t599n
was rooted by my ex before he split*And Iv been trying to unlock it for almost a month since by myself. And I don't know what I'm doing.
So far, the only thing I was able to unlock was a virus onto my step moms laptop. Very nice way to say thanks to her. SMH. (My dad was able to fix that but not without being super mad =/)
Someone on here must know how I can unlock it??I don't have one of those box thigs but I can connect it to my computer with USB.*It is locked to metro PCS but I already have the T mobile sim card (and like a total rookie) I activated (and paid for) prepaid service through them 3 wks ago... Sigh.*Guess I was a little over confident I would be able to figure this out lol I have done soooo much reading on it its insane
I have already canceled my metro service and didn't have them for 3 months prior, so getting my network sim unlock code from Metro isn't an option.*Also, (like a big giant noob) I thought I would be cute and try to guess the unlock pin when I had some time to kill one day*SMH.*Now I may have made it to where I will need a PUK code also
*IDK... That's probably obvious tho*lol.*If anyone can help me with any advice or information, or even just point me in the right direction you would definitely be my hero. *This is the longest I have ever been away from my 6 yr old and although we Skype often, if I am not home (or somewhere with wif ) he has no way to reach me atm, even tho I'm paying for service.*Boooo. Lol. Someone help the newbie! Please and thank you =)*
root for t599
download 4shared on your device and search on 4shared for framaroot and follow instructions on framaroot :highfive:
There are some go to YouTube and search eker626 he helped show me how to root and get custom rom

[Q] Rooting Galaxy S Duos and Galaxy Grand Duos using Push SuperUser+BusyBox

Can I use Method 1 of this thread to root Galaxy S duos and Galaxy Grand Duos.
I've rooted my S2 GT I9100 using the same thread. When searched I found other methods to root the S duos but I want to know if the asked method does the job as it is easier to do.

Bootloader unlocked for Samsung Galaxy Duos and Grand ?
Does Samsung Galaxy Duos and Grand have their bootloader unlocked or we need to do it specifically? Unlocked bootloader is needed to root these phones using this thread. So, just checking before I proceed with rooting these phones:good:

No need to follow that guide, and no need to unlock the bootloaders as they are already unlocked.
For the Galaxy S Duos, see here.
For the Galaxy Grand, see this thread.

By the way can the installation of CWM recovery be reverted to stock recovery. I couldn't find convincing links for my GT I9100 and Galaxy S Duos. And can the manufacturer know if CWM had been installed and/or rooting had been performed upon taking the phone for warranty issues? Please help..:good:

Yes, you can revert your recovery as well as ROM back to stock. So it would look like a normal unrooted stock phone.
But some phones (like the I9100) have binary counters that get tripped while rooting or flashing custom ROMs. If not reset, these counters can inform the manufacturer that you have tampered with your device, thus voiding your warranty.

I saw in a part that installing "remove triangle" or something like that app can reset binary counters but it also mentioned that it might brick my device.so how safe is the app to use to reset the counter?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
Triangle Away app is pretty safe to use in the I9100. But no one can guarantee you anything mate. The risk is yours to take.

I don't have this device myself but, this device is just a variant of the Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 (I can't elaborate much on why).
It looks like the following area of the forum also includes this variant as well.

Good Luck!
