New Blog For Android - Android General

Hello there
The thing that most annoys me is that I have to go through several sites each day to find the information I was looking for (on Android).
I decided to take the initiative and make a blog where I center all the information in Android (or at least trying to centralize everything) as short a time since it comes out.
It's a blog:

New Website

http://www.96edwy.com/
Hey guys, in the past few months i have been doing tutorial videos and reviews on youtube for winmo stuff. Now i have decided to make a website for everything winmo. At the moment the site is in development, layout is messy and stuff because it started out as a college project and i never really intended for it to go live so its just basic stuff (site is based around the HD2 because the assignment i had to do said the site had to be about one specific thing), few links and pictures etc. Hopefully i will be able to update it with all the latest winmo downloads and news, so if you wanna check it out the link is above. I would appreciate some feedback on the site and i am open to suggestions, you know... anything i can add to it, any cool scripts you guys have to make it look a little more flashy or any software that may help me build it.

The ANPR Droid headache, and some tylenol.

Hello,
I have been tasked by my company to further research the viability of implementing an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) based system. I have ruled out hard wiring a 120v camera since these are various remote locations I am trying to secure with ANPR. Since they are manned stations, the natural conclusion is an ANPR system. Something like this:
[I am too new and it won't let me post the youtube link, but if you search youtube for "MATRIX Android ANPR Rendszám azonosító" you'll find the video I speak of]
I have found many (at least 10) examples of similar functioning software, at least they appear to be, but nothing that is really for sale. I am new to this site but I know all of the experts are here. I'm wondering if either a) Any of you know of such commercially available software, or b) any of you are knowledgeable of how I can get it developed?
Thank you very much for your time and I hope this is posted in the right place.
Regards,
Danya Mahota

[WIKI] Android Wiki

As a previous maemo and iOS user, there was always an organized knowledge base where everything was sorted. From developer tools to user how-tos, to hacks and exploits, everything was documented in a wiki.
Although the userbase on xda is awesome, most of the information on the site is scattered; you have to go through hoops and loops to find something, and the post you found by googling might have been outdated.
I wanted to fix that, so I started Android Wiki, an encyclopedia based on MediaWiki (the software Wikipedia uses). It runs off my own personal server, if this ever takes off, I'll move it to a dedicated server.
Right now, the wiki has only one page about the Xposed Framework (as an example in my head of what this would look like [REDACTED]).
I'd really appreciate it if users can add more info to the wiki, this might help reduce questions asked in threads, and time wasted looking for stuff.
Here's a link to the wiki:

STAPPZ- What's live near you - location based app - early cm adopters needed

Hi,
I'm Tim and we developed an Android app and started a startup in Germany. However, the app is free. Therefore, I hope that posting about the app in this forum to search cyanogenmod users is ok. If not, please delete this post.
I post here, because I, myself, love cynongenmod custom roms and would like to find out more about the compatibility of our app. Therefore, I search people that like to try new apps that report if it works from them. The app is location based and in beta (so not perfect yet) and for my cm10.1 on an Lg P990 and cm on a Galaxy S3 it works. I'd be curious about other phones. Therefore, I thought this forum here is the best place to find like minded people that use cm - Maybe even someone has the onplus one and can test it
We have the app for beta testers open and you can get it on our page STAPPZ com or find us on facebook (STAPPZ)
OK- now i talked so much about what we would like to test - here a brief description:
What is STAPPZ? In short, it is answer to the question: “What is live near me?”
With STAPPZ you participate in an open conversation with pictures and text at your current position. You create and perpetuate your own STAPPZ: Moments, noteworthy facts or any other information that you consider relevant.Nearby fellows (other STAPPZ users) see those STAPPZ and respond to them by posting something themselves or by saving them in their profile. This way, the people joining STAPPZ enrich and weave the world, collaborate and take advantage of the knowledge that others left around them.
However, if you like the app and have some feedback in other directions or you want more info or to blog about it, please let us know.
We'd be so glad to get feedback if it runs on your cm devices.
Kind regards
Tim
