Hey I was away from XDA these past days.. will try your builds tommorrow...
One question to ask On 02/09/2012 build the wireless issue is fixed? can you please confirm..

Different wifi chipset driver maybe?
Flowish,
This ROM looks good on my Mach Speed (LY-F1 clone) TRIO stealth PRO but I still have no wifi.
Some research over on this thread discovered maybe the issue. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831257&page=8#72
I have RTL8188CUS chipset on my tablet.There are some others with this same chipset confirmed who also cannot get wifi on CM9 and CM10 Rom's by you, Seby and christiantroy.
1 user, Goes1967 has RTL8192CU in his Trio Pro and has not had a wifi issue with the same ROM's.
Is it possible to make a version of this rom or a compatibility zip with drivers for RTL8188CUS ?
Thanks
kevmodee

I am not exactly sure what you need when you say "driver source code" .
Does that come from the original stock firmware or just what is available at the Realtek site?
Also I found a GB 2.3.4 that has wifi AND sound both working.
http://www.mediafire.com/?gd3necyrq3062pd
Maybe that helps figure out driver source code?

We can't get lspci to run but dmesg listed this:
the interesting chip info in my log

i dont have allwinner device now (because my father borrow my tablet), so last update just cwm recovery 6.0.1.2

I've just tried this rom (the September 2 version) on my tablet, and everything seems to work well except the capacitive buttons. If I tap the "back" button while any text field is open, it types the number "1". (If I tap the back button on the home screen, nothing happens.) Similarly, the "menu" button types a number "2". Any ideas how to fix that? I'm not exactly sure what model tablet I have, but I've been using the stock LY-F1 firmware on it without any problems.
Edit: I've just noticed that the home button is behaving like a back button. I can use it as a back button for now, but it would be useful to have a functioning home button and menu button too.

Hello flowish, did you have the chance to look at the missing WiFi issue for Trio Stealth Pro?
Thank you!

update build 13/jan/2013 ,enjoy ..

[GT-P6210 WIFI][WIP] CyanogenMod 9 (developer preview 2)

SO HERE WE GO MY GT-6210 FRIENDS.
I sold my tab because I got an iPad 2 for work and used the money to get a Galaxy Nexus I will probably keep building this ROM once the kernel is worked out and everything is working. Most likely Build AOKP
Just like the GT-6200 Developer Release this is a very basic preview build of CM9. That being said, if you choose to flash this build, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.
I am not a Dev or claim to be one, I just spent a lot of time the last few monthes learning how to build from AOSP and CM9, and figured I'd share my success with the community. I am not resposible for any one bricking their devices by not reading all the information that is all hear on XDA.
Please atleast read through this if you are a n00b: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1452716
And this if you are not Rooted yet: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1379532
ONCE AGAIN
FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK
All credit and thanks goes out to:
-Google
-The whole Cyanogen team
-aorth (for getting this moving on out TABs)
-locerra (for his quick work on the p6210 device tree & framework tweaks)
-garyd9 (for all his work on the p6210 and this forum)
-Anyone else that made this possible THANK YOU
I will try to maintain this thread as much as I can, but I have a full time job, school, family and a life
I will at the least be folowing any changes in the source code or on github and post any builds I compile.
I WILL NOT BE:
-Responding to any questions that can be found by simply searching
-Spending a lot of time helping people to get this up and running
This is what I did to get it up and running:
-Put the ZIP file on the TABs internal sd partition (NOT THE SD CARD YOU PUT IN TO THE TAB)
-Reboot into Recovery
-Wipe data/factory reset
-Wipe cache partition
-wipe Dalvik Cache
-format /cache
-format /system
-format /data
-Install update-cm-9.0.0-RC0-p6210-UNOFFICIAL-signed.zip
-Reboot and enjoy!!! Not much is working though.
What's working:
Accelerometer
Hardware-accelerated launcher
Touch input
Vibration
Physical buttons (volume + power)
Audio
What's not working:
Bluetooth
Wifi
Camera
GPS
Hardware-accelerated video
Ambient light sensor(working for the most part in new build 2)
Here is the link: http://www.mediafire.com/?jrcehwgewyxi6kb
Any Mirrors for downloads are welcome, not sure how for the free mediafire account will go.
New Build with working Audio

Woooo yes bring it on! Great to see people chipping in and getting this off the ground! Really looking forward to seeing this finished.
Would be abysmally funny if they finish before Samsung gets their ICS out even though that circumstance is not likely to happen.

i found something similar quite some time ago.
https://github.com/DerArtem/AR6kSDK.3.1
it's from derartem, he and nopy is working on ICS for Folio 100 too currently.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1470823
it is the same thing with some modification from DerArtem.
Progress on wireless... sorta.
P6200/P6210 use an Atheros 6003 wireless chip (also for bluetooth?). The open-source atk6kl driver from compat-wireless supports this chip. I found some interesting information about building this module on the HP Touchpad forum over at RootzWiki. I can compile the module, but I just can't load it.
Here's how:
1. Compile kernel:
Code:
cd ~/src/git/kernel_samsung_c210
LOCALVERSION="" ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE="/home/aorth/src/android-ndk-r7b/toolchains/arm-linux-androideabi-4.4.3/prebuilt/linux-x86/bin/arm-linux-androideabi-" make -j8 zImage
2. Compile compat-wireless
Code:
cd ~/src/compat-wireless-3.3-2-n
./scripts/driver-select ath6kl
ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE="/home/aorth/src/android-ndk-r7b/toolchains/arm-linux-androideabi-4.4.3/prebuilt/linux-x86/bin/arm-linux-androideabi-" KLIB=~/src/git/kernel_samsung_c210 KLIB_BUILD=~/src/git/kernel_samsung_c210 make -j4
But attempting to insert the resulting modules spits out errors like:
Code:
# insmod compat.ko
insmod: can't insert 'compat.ko': invalid module format
# dmesg | tail -n3
<4>[ 365.244149] load_module: umod=4015c000, len=1311485, uargs=01a1f008
<3>[ 365.266659] compat: unknown relocation: 96
<6>[ 382.490328] BAT : soc(100), vcell(4152mV), curr(0mA), temp(26.7), chg(0), full(1), rechg(0), cable(1)
@ohanar... help!
Nice start!

I need to learn to compile a kernel. Where did you get the kernel from and where did you get the toolchain/cross compiler from? Is it the one inside the cyanogen repo or codesourcery or what?
Sorry if the dumb questions, but I'm just getting started/interested in kernels

The kernel we are currently using is the one at https://github.com/ohanar/kernel_samsung_c210, however, in the long run we should move over to https://github.com/teamhacksung/android_kernel_samsung_smdk4210, although this is currently broken for our devices (so we need to fix it ).
I am using the latest ndk toolchain that comes with in cm repo.

Haven't really looked into this too much. I'm more interested in getting the smdk4210 kernel working (and that already includes the atheros drivers).
Thanks, I just found some good reading on compiling kernels. I allways find what I need right after asking in a thread
I'll start with the teamhacksung git. Thanks!!!!

Yeah, you're right. It's likely the same ath6kl driver, though, as compat-wireless is where the mainline kernel gets linux-wireless-next (and smdk4210 kernel is based on mainline, or at least will be soon... it might be based on origen board kernel right now, see OpenGalaxy).
btw, this module loading issue isn't strictly a wireless issue. I can't load j4fs or scsi_wait_scan either. I swear I loaded these once before, recently...

Question... when you were still using kernels compiled with Samsung's LOCALVERSION string, did you ever get the ar6000.ko to load?

I confirm i'm familiar with tegra kernel and also i can pay a part of it by myself
I got the defy ICS port almost working only a few days after sources release, and last official moto rom was a froyo 2.2.2 ...
Here is the full story
I'm also in Atrix dev team which is a similar phone and made some recovery and bootmenu work on it...
Working on this phone will help the 2 devices, even if Atrix one is already almost fully working (camcorder is still buggy)

Hi buddy,
Thanks for showing interest in developing CM 9 for our device.
If possible elaborate & give us a rough idea on how you'll go about the development of CM 9 for SGR. It could help in keeping the expectations of people donating here close to reality. But ofcourse I am not asking for exact ETAs just some rough structure on how will the development go on and if other CM devs (eg LG O2X devs) will be involved in developing CM 9 for our device ?
Moreover 'supercurio' is also from France, it would be nice if you could cooperate with him and help in unlocking the full potential of the quality sound chip we have on R. He has already made progress in developing a Voodoo MOD for our device & if you could cooperate with him we can get official support & updates from supercurio for our device. Would it be possible ?

I just have a big noob question, if you don't mind kindly clarify.
We don't have an ICS kernel as the ICS update for R isn't out yet. As per what a fellow member said (who was trying to develop CM 7 / 9 for our device) CM 9 requires kernel 3.0, so does that mean you'll build the kernel 3.0 for our Galaxy R from scratch ?
------------------------
I hope that I'm not asking too much.
BTW I have studied French at school level and found it to be pretty suave most of the times & sometimes a complex language. Another reason for which I loved it was because it was high scoring subject.
Cheers !

cooleagle, I was going through Epsylon3's work on bringing ICS to Defy. From the demo videos, it seems to run CM9 Nightly on 2.6.36 Kernel. I hope we may not need kernel v3 to run ICS. Again, Pls correct me if i'm wrong.

I am just trying to gather info by discussions:
In that case do we lose any features/functions if we keep on using the GB kernel in the CM9 build ?
And what happens when ICS is released for our device, will the dev have to start from scratch once again to get CM 9 with ICS kernel running or will it be an easier process ?

The Froyo kernel is for certain Defys with a different camera (SoC version) and the Gingerbread Kernel is for the other type of Defys (Bayer module) and Defy+
This was sent from a Galaxy Ace. Problem?
Я за ics : Круто:
Android is not locked to a specific kernel version... but proprietary libs (and nvidia ones are a good example) are made for the kernel shipped with them.
Defy froyo (and gb) kernels are 2.6.32 but with some advanced moto features like the usb gadgets, we had the luck to have almost all the stuff required for ics.
One missing GL_OES api is making hwui port very hard. But that is not exactly a missing kernel feature.
Most GPU libs are bought by vendors and are proprietary sets of prebuilt objects (.lib) and headers, for the omap they come from the SGX DDK
So to answer on how i want to start... I think we need first a CM 7.2 port, to reduce and test before the possible problems.
Making a CM rom is not a zip kitchen... It require sources for almost all, a few ones can be grabbed first from existing gb roms, some will always be proprietary (nvidia ones).
Kernel work should only be done if there is no other ways... Since we are locked to the nvidia layer, changing the kernel generation can break all...
I dont know yet if there is available source code published, checking...
EDIT: i got kernel samsung sources of 2.6.36.3 kernel (Feb 2012), and a few other things from samsung
could somebody confirm me the wifi/bt chip is a bcm dhd ? and if fm radio is supported by the phone ?
EDIT2: we get interresting stuff when "diffing" kernel updates : https://gist.github.com/2890552
ps: github epsylon3 is my secondary account for tegra stuff
@Epsylon3
Thanks for responding. Do tell us if it would be possible for you to cooperate with 'supercurio' for Voodoo sound.
This handset does have FM Radio support but I have no info about the broadcom chip will check and revert.
Edit: There are some internal chipset diagrams of Galaxy R here on xda itself.
Do you remember the chipset numbers of some common bcm chips which are used in mobiles ? If you do then checkout the diagrams below it could help.
Kindly check your PM
Cheers !
@Epsylon3
We have a great gingerbread kernel made from Samsung's sources by ardatdat. Most people here I think use this kernel as it solves some problems of Samsung's kernel, like inability to count 3G traffic.
You can find it here: https://github.com/ardatdat/GalaxyR-i9103-Kernel
The device does have a FM radio.
I don't have an easy way to detect the bt/wifi module but my device shows dhd module as loaded.
Code:
$ lsmod
dhd 236992 0 - Live 0xbf015000
Si4709_driver 36073 0 - Live 0xbf006000
bthid 3547 0 - Live 0xbf000000

i mean, does somebody has seen it working on stock roms ?
because the Atrix has the chip bcm4329 FBGA(WLAN/BT+FM+EDR) for it but its not linked in hardware :/
for the wifi/bt... i ve atrix schematics too... i will check the chip size
thanks for the link... i will try to link to my test repo : https://github.com/epsylon3/
yours is a bcm4330 : http://www.logictoyz.com/cell-phone...rated-bluetooth-4-0hs-and-fm-transceiver.html
6x6mm
Yes, the FM radio is officially a feature of the phone.
I have only used it with Samsung's app though. Works great with ardatdat's kernel too.
EDIT:
I am not sure if we have bcm4330 because our bluetooth is v3.0 I think.
ive seen that in kernel sources, bcm4330 folder is part of samsung changes

This mean u are going to backport some 3.0 features or u are just going to compile a normal 2.6 kernel for i9003?

I'm really a terrible teacher. If people want to learn kernel development, I'm not the best teacher. I lack the effort, can't explain stuff right, and I'm too busy in my personal life to dedicate myself to teaching people. Sorry.

Both. It's going to be a normal 2.6 kernel, but it's going to get tuned up over time. It's usable for people right now, but I'd call this a stock kernel in it's current state.
If anyone wants to know what I'm working on, I'm working on MTD for this kernel.
This is the current status:
Code:
[ 4.945831] Muxed OneNAND 512MB 1.8V 16-bit (0x50)
[ 4.950927] OneNAND version = 0x0242
[ 4.955993] Scanning device for bad blocks
[ 4.960266] onenand_bbt_read_oob: from = 0x00000000, len = 2
[ 4.966247] onenand_bbt_wait: read timeout! ctrl=0x0400 intr=0x8000
[ 4.972808] onenand_scan_bbt: Can't scan flash and build the RAM-based BBT
[ 4.980255] OneNAND driver initializing
That's it trying to start the OneNAND, and I'm pretty sure that's right. It is a 512MB OneNAND and I haven't had to tell it that so it figured it out by itself. I just need to figure out why it's not able to read it. Apart from that, this is good progress considering I only just started.
If you can get it to work properly on the value packs that would be great. The older universal kernels have bugs such as wifi errors and random reboots, even though I still face wifi errors on the stock kernel(because of root? I have no idea)

The WiFi issues are caused by modmagic. The WiFi drivers are supplied in /system/lib and are paired to a kernel. It would be a matter of taking a paired dhd.ko and putting it in the kernel itself rather than in the /system.

Ya all the kernel in present situation are based on xxkpq sources having universal feature. But on value packs like XXLF2, DDLF2 etc these universal kernel dont work properly & have errors like above said.
reserved. after this hoping for kyorarom if possible.

I can try. I want to get MTD working first. I think I just have an address wrong somewhere. I need to find where these are set for OMAP. I know where they are in Samsung Hummingbird/S5P/Exynos, but not OMAP.

For that you'll have to wait and watch.
There were requests from senior members in other thread for features that weren't available on current kernels. I guess that's what prompted Hillbeast to create this kernel for this device. Also, I guess in developing this kernel, he might find out what exactly is going wrong with 3.x and we might get both working.

I can try, but the problem there is the same as adding NTFS support to the SD card. I did it in G3MOD and it worked, but Android itself couldn't read the SD card because vold didn't know how to handle it.

MTD is for the OneNAND. The memory card uses standard Linux MMC drivers.

Download Ubuntu 64-bit and install it on your computer
Download the build tools and git-core
Clone my GIT repository linked on the first page
Compile the kernel
Flash the output TAR
There is no download link. I don't see the kernel as being ready to be released to public.

Zeus Toolkit was first put into development in january of 2014 for the use with the Allwinner A13 tablets. Since its birth the tool has progressed rapidly with new functions which make repairing/modifying a breeze compared to doing it all from a command prompt and coding scripts etc..
The tool can automate tasks which some might find hard to do manually for instance editing the script.bin

Hi
I just trying your ROM on my Prestigio pmp3670b (red)...but I have problem with touchscreen modules. I was tried modules from other ROMs but one was working.
Can I use modules from official prestigio FW? how? Or do you have any solution for me?
Thanks for help
Hey guys,
I can't seem to get this tool working. Stumped at the first hurdle. I click "Analyze device" and nothing ever happens. None of the other device based commands seem to work either.
I know the device drivers are all working correctly as I can use the Uberizer tool to do ROM dumps and adb lsmod commands.
Any ideas? Maybe I am not waiting long enough or some other problem? I just want know if I have the right device and modules to run a custom ROM.
Cheers

Mmm. That's odd your the first person with this problem or at least the first to bring it to my attention.. The tool uses adb commands in the code to get your device name and to confirm the device is connected using adb...
I have a few questions...
1. What OS are you using on your computer?
2. Are you running the tool as administrator?
3. Do you have java/adb tools installed and up to date?
4. Have you tried using a different cable and/or different USB port? (This normally works to solve nearly all connection issues)
Hey,
I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, all drivers appear to be up to date and running Java v7
I tried a second cable and running as administrator still all to no avail.
Cheers

have an energy a4 (a13 4.3 "inch 480 x 272 pixels), I tried to install any rom but all do not look good for the resolution.
I've also tried to modify the system configuration Dragonface rom but I can not compile the rom .. or firmware does not support the tool to modify
only I have to change it to boot

lcd_y =272
lcd_dclk_freq = 12
lcd_if = 0
lcd_hbp = 2
lcd_ht = 525
lcd_vbp = 2
lcd_vt = 572

Sorry for bumping this thread, but is there a fix for your zeus tool for windows 8.1. its not running.
EDIT forgot to mention that I have the same problem as the other user stated. nothing happens when pressing analyze device.
Is this compatible with the quad core a13s?
Version 5 released
just a bump for the new version as described in changelog alot has been fixed an the tool should work flawlessly now. REMEMBER to make sure you have your adb drivers installed and there is no support for windows 8 at the moment..
Hit thanks if it works well for you and vote in the poll at the top of thread
enjoy

nice to see you still working on this, one thing tho in the previous version i couldn't get the recovery to install. It said installation successful but it wasn't. Did you fix this problem or was this something with the tablet?
