Love the phone but not enough to vote for it. Very upset with the battery issues this phone is having. So for me voting is almost like recommending it to someone. It's actually making me miss my T-Mobile g2 I had. They should of had that phone on the list.

It's kind of lame they're comparing it to a phone that won't come out for another 3-4 months. They must be webOS fanboys (though webOS is nice all around, just needs a platform to run on) but really, comparing a phone you can have now to a phone you can have sometime in the summer when it's barely spring right now?
At least they're not comparing to jesusphone 5 (which wont be out for another 7-8 months if that)

Yes, I agree, it should only be open to phones that actually exist. I'm sure there will be an HTC out in 2 years that will kick all their asses - lets put it in the bracket, too...
P.S. - It IS ugly. Looks like Salvador Dali painted a Blackberry...

Palm has a physical keyboard fetish they wont get over, but obviously they could design a phone better that has a keyboard too. The first pixie phone (horrible name though) was pretty well designed.

I hope that devs come over to G2x land. LG can't work out its problems, T-Mobile can't work out its problems. Maybe the smart developers can work it out.

I think it would be a mistake for anyone to jump ship unless they just really wanted something else. The G2x has an awesome screen (despite screen bleed), great hardware, and great form factor. The only thing wrong with it is software related, which is fixable. You can't fix poor hardware, which some newer phones do have.

Thinking and doing are 2 different things. I could easily sell one of my 7 devices and get the sense and still keep the g2x. Some people read to far into things.

I believe I did say "thinking" in the OP. I was only trying to point out that it seems as though a lot of people are switching to the sensation... And your update didn't say "thinking of selling one of my seven devices" it said "thinking of selling my g2x".
I wasn't trying to read too much into things. Just don't want a mass exodus...

Me too.
CM7 already has the battery driver ironed out and a pretty stable release of 2.3.4. The phone itself is awesome and I'm loving the Tegra games.
I think I would be seriously disappointed if I were to switch to another phone right now.
I think my next phone won't be until Tegra 3's are out.

u hit it on the head player911, im effin loving my phone it is a beautiful piece i actually took my screen protector off and wow this screen is amazingly beautiful, ill tell u what those tmobile anti smear protectors suck! anyways the screen doesnt have one scratch id figure i would just keep one off because of the gorilla glass it has been about a week and not one scratch, and i think im just gonna stay with this phone for a while, i love the way this phone plays games, u have to check out galaxy on fire 2. great game....and now that cm7 is on its way to stable im not even worried about that official gingerbread release because it really wont do nothing special to our phones, we need the drivers from nvidia! as far as battery and etc., but like i said cm handled that......sorry a little off subject

Anybody else listing their thunderbolt?

I just listed mine on Craigslist in anticipation of the SGSII coming to VZW.
I'm really really hoping it'll have 4G because I don't want to come back to the tbolt or have to deal with the bionic (unless the bionic is unlockable).
What about you guys? Anybody else selling to get top dollar before the new phones are officially announced?

Yeah, I'm worried about it being delayed too :\
Fortunately, I have an old Incredible laying around that I can use in the meantime. I really hope VZW doesn't drop the ball here and delay it past early September. As far as I can tell, that tweet is VZW's first admission that the sgs2 for VZW even exists.

I'm not a fan of Apple....errr Samsung so I think I'm sticking with the Bolt!!

Yeah, I hear ya, atleast we know it's actually real. This phone will be hard to resist but I wouldn't sell my phone just yet, you may be waiting a while. Unless you a spare laying around somewhere.

After hearing that it will have 4G, I might be tempted to sell my TBolt once it launches. I also am not a fan of samsung phones, but this thing really makes me drool.

i'll probably wait until next march(when my 1st year is up) as ill get my $400 deposit back then.

As a previous owner of the fascinate, I am definitely with you guys on the anti-Samsung bandwagon. The thing that has changed my mind is that Samsung has said that the sgs2 is practically made for Ice Cream Sandwich. That gives me hope that they will be updating it relatively quickly once ICS is released.
Also, the fact that they gave the sgs2 to some of the CM devs makes me think they are more consumer focused than they were the first go 'round.

All good points, I forgot they hooked up some devs with phones. I still have nightmares about my Captivate. This phone is in a completely different league though.
To be honest with you I want my next phone to be great out of the box. I never thought I would reach a point that I would be tired of rom flashing, lol. I could slap lpp on top of touchwiz and would be good to go.
Still love my bolt though, we'll see.

It's also the first and only android phone with a completely open sourced linux kernel (no linked binary blobs for drivers in it).
Selling your phone off for this right now is silly though. Who knows when it'll be out for CDMA/LTE. It could be another 5-6 months at the earliest.

I hear ya on that! I'm kind of glad CM7 for the TBolt isn't on Nightlies and I am enjoying flashing once every few weeks instead of nightly. I will say I enjoy the added capabilities root and CM7 brings though so I couldn't go unrooted that's for sure.

No one knows for sure if SGS2 will have LTE, although Samsung would be pretty stupid to not support it. If it does, I will be first in line....but my Tbolt will do just fine until then.

So, my teen daughter is getting a phone for x-mas.

It just arrived through ups.
Its the LG G2X, and I'm extremely jealous looking at all the cool features it has, not to mention it's dual core.
I just took it out of the box, and looked at it.
Didn't turn it on or anything, because, well, its her Christmas present...
So i am pleading to you guys to give me some good reasons why I shouldn't stick my phone in that box, and pretend that's the new phone she got, while I sneakly keep the g2x as if it has been my phone all along.

Octane 3.0 themed version. Gotta wait until its available and you've tried it before jumping ship Other than that, umm I moved to a G2X myself. But I still have the SGS4G. Umm reasons to stay with it..... battery lasts noticeably longer, screens brighter, speakers alot louder! Other than that I love my G2X

Yeah, the g2x does look pretty badass.
Oh well, guess I'll just have to be satisfied with modding and hacking it for her, lol.
Best of all is, it was free, just by adding it to my family plan.

Nah, I think there's still some life to come onto this phone yet.
I have been around since the kb5 enhanced days, and i know we go through slow periods here, but there is always something new on the horizon.

Well, she got lucky they are giving them away for free.
I mean it would be kind of stupid getting a lesser quality phone for the same price ($0), just so my phone would be better.

My dad gave me a g1 when he had a blackberry pearl that was old and my mom had a verizon pay phone. Yes, he payed contract price for it. So ya, you should be as kind as that. Also, my dad also gave me the SGS4g, but my whole family has an SGS4g

Plus, she's been a good kid.
She just got her from Brazil this year, and has made tremendous progress in learning English, and getting good grades in school.
And ill be happy with modding the phone to her taste.
Just likei do to my wife.
In a way, this is still a present for me, because the most enjoyment i get of a phone is modding it.

Yeah, development on the rezound is and has been slow. Some devs refuse to work on the rezound because they dislike the resound community.

Not to mention having short the phone out for s off is dangerous.

That's ridiculous, it is not dangerous if you do it right, its amazing that the devs found that trick. The rezound is absolutely superior in every way (hardware and development) to the thunderbolt.

I just wish the t-bolt was thinner, other than that it seems to have enough hardware muscle to keep up and the development community is fairly active.

My opinion on "MY" Thunderbolt is that it is a good.. But not great device. Battery Life is poor. Other than that, the only real complaint about the device itself is that the proximity sensor used to turn the screen off while it's against my head hasn't worked since about the second week I had the phone.. My Tbolt has had a good run. I will have had it 2 yrs this November. It has gotten pretty beat up with dings, scuffs, and chips all over it and a cracked screen (right across the "home" soft key) but all in all its still kickin strong.
Compared to my buddy's gs3 I'd say it, at least appears, to be lacking. The gs3 is a pretty cool device but honestly I think it's more of the simple human need for bigger and better toys that separates the two.. I am running Liquid's ICS at standard processor speed and I didn't notice much speed difference between the two phones...
I think it really boils down to device specific features and how the phone looks and feels that make me choose a phone and with custom roms and the basic customization of the Android OS they can all potentially be equal in that aspect...
