Request - Rom creation guides

Hello,
I am new to programming for android, but I am a programmer by trade so I have a basic knowledge of programming and code.
I was wondering if there are any guides / help / tutorials for creating custom roms? I am not looking for someone to post everything and do the work for me, but I would appreciate any help that someone could give me. Even if you can just point me in a good direction I would really appreciate it.
I have a simple guide in my signature titled noobs guide to theming and porting ROMs.

To start, you do what OEMS do also. Download source from Google, then tweak the living hell outta it.
You know how to read code? Start changing it around and seeing what happens. Then build off it. Compile and learn from the errors it craps out. Lather, rinse, repeat.

First of all this needs to be moved into Q&A section. Moderators please do this.
And to answer you question. You don't transplant rom, you port it, that is how people say it here, and that is how you should ask, for others to understand . Now this so called porting is very hard and long process and is unique from phone to phone. You would need a lot of time and skills to do this. The skills can be learned but if you have the time and the will you could do that. Just contact somebody from Viper team, maybe they can help you with some guides.
there are illegal vipers kangs on some forums, soon there will be official Viper rom for our device

[Q] Custom rom

Hi guys!
I have been really interesting on creating a custom rom, and I don't know how to do it, I've read a lot of tutorials but I just can't do it.
I was hoping that you could give me a tutorial, or even open a thread to help who is trying to build a rom and doesn't know how to do it.
That would be extremelly good for ace plus, because we would get more developers to our phone, and who knows they could get really good at developing, that they could help devs to fix the bugs on their roms.
Best regards,
kaeOzZ

Building a custom rom is not so easy like you think...
Sometimes it takes 3 months to build a rom...
And 1000 guides explain how to do this
