Hello everyone,
Yesterday I've tried to update my Xperia J to the new Jelly Bean firmware, but before that, I've done a full wipe and format system and cache through CWM. After that, I reboot my phone and it never goes after the Sony logo. I've tried to repair it with PC Companion, SUS and Flashtool, but everytime it starts to flash new Rom, the green led goes off and nothing is done.
Is there any solution for this, or should I go to the store and pray that it isn't to expensive to fix it?
Thanks in advance.
Anyone have a suggestion?
Re: [Help] Hard bricked my Xperia J...
Its not hard bricked. Its really normal for green light to go off while flashing ftf.Just wait for the flashtool to complete preparing files and then connect your phone in flash mode(green led) after the prompt appears. It will instantly start the flashing process (and yes, the green led goes off as soon as flashing starts so dont worry).
You may also experience a strange problem where the flashtool gets stuck at 0 percent. You can fix that by trying some older version of flashtool.
Good luck

Thanks a lot for your help, I'm really getting stucked at 0 percent at Flashtool. I can´t even repair it with PC Companion, that's why I was afraid that is was an hard brick. I'm going to try with an older version of Flashtool as you've said.
Thanks again.
EDIT: I've tried with an older version of Flashtool and still no luck, always getting stucked at 0 percent. I read somewhere that my problem must be that my phone at this moment don't have any operating system and that probably I couldn't fix it at home. Is this true or is there something more I can do?
Re: [Help] Hard bricked my Xperia J...
Well i used to get this problem with my flashtool.Installing an older version did the trick for me.You can try flashing from some other system

Re: [Help] Hard bricked my Xperia J...
If you got unlocked bootloader then you can fastboot flash fxp kernel followed by the rom itself. This will atleast make your device functional again.

Unfortunately my bootloader is locked.
I will try again, but this time on my computer here at work.
EDIT: Still no luck in another computer. I guess I will need to go to Vodafone Store at the end of the day and see what they can do with my phone.
Good news!!
I've installed PC Companion here on my work computer and it repaired my phone. Probably there's some kind of problem with my computer at home. I'm already flashing Jelly Bean normally with flashtool.
Thanks a lot for your help balboarocky.
Use Flashtool for this

since that NO Led, No fastboot or Flashmode connections,
Do you think my Xperia is dead from dead (tm) .
Edit : to make the phone react and avoid bootloop i have to remove the battery and use it like the "power button" to take my phone in Flashboot, reflash Cwm and my phone work again ....

well i am a newbiee, i first rooted my phone, installed the stock rom with phantom kernel and then updated to omni rom 4.4.1 , but it was ustable. it would frequent shut off and show that it was collecting crash data, i switched off my midway. and then tried flashing stock rom, tried various combination without excluding 'system' in flash tool.
now my phone gets connected only in flash mode and when try to do some thing it gives me this error
18/031/2014 18:31:35 - ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MINOR";ERR_CODE="0017";ERR_DYNAMIC="0x80060011 "
my phone is not turning on nor is it going into fastboot, please please help me!!
Fix
1 Try using ADB to flash the Stock Rom
If that didn't work
Try using Emma (Official flashtool for Xperia Devices) - You can find the tool in xda. OR http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/flash-tool/how-to-download-and-install-the-flash-tool/
SOME OTHER USERS EVEN REPORTED THAT A CHANGE OF PC AND USB CABLE USED SOLVED THE PROBLEM
IF ALL FAILS

Hi, I've watched this forum for a long time and now I am in trouble. Please don't be rough is there is a similar thread, but i couldn't find anything like this. If you need anymore information i forgot please tell me.
Also I'm sorry about my bad english.
Here we go:
Today I tried to root my C6603 Xperia Z with your Image files from and with this guide: [censored 'cause of newby]
(german Website)
Short:
I unlocked the bootloader with the Key I got from sony
then I flashed the device with the command:
"fastboot flash boot Z_DooMLoRD_CF-Auto-Root-ported_FW-350.img"
answer: "finished"
then I did "fastboot reboot"
worked also fine
next "fastboot flash boot Z_DooMLoRD_insecure_FW-350.img"
"Finished"
"fastboot reboot"
"finished"
But the device won't start. All I get is a on-off-on red LEDand the Sony sign appearing and disappearing after 2-3 sec and restart this ever and ever
The xperia won't react to a fastboot/hard reboot in any way except the 1...triple vibrate
I don't know, what I can do, or if there is a newer image maybe.
I need your help really really badly.
Thank you
Thank you for your help.

the image was broken. I looked for anotherone and am now using cyongen 11
Dear Friends,
I am Arindom Samajdar from India. Though I did not have any theoretical learning over android programming, I got a lot of helps & knowledge from XDA Threads on this specially on rooting of android phones. And truly speaking from following the guides of this forum I really rotted my Xperia SP (C5302) successfully about 6 months before and installed CM11 Rom via CWM recovery mode in it.
I was using it flawlessly till 10 days back also. But 10 days before I planned to roll back it to its stock Sony Rom as I was planning to sell it & get a new phone.
But at this time I did not studied mutch & simply started to flash the .tft file of the stock rom which I had prepared long back by the help of Flashtool, when I was rooting my device first. But this time during flashing the file there gone something very wrong and the flashing could not completed over night also & unfortunately during this process battery of my phone drained out & the flashing interrupted. When I checked my phone in morning, I found that it is in switch off condition. When I connected it to charger, first it shows bright green light in its notification light (like it gives while connecting in Flash mode), after 1 or 2 mins it gives Red light with SONY logo in its screen & stayed as it is for another 1 or 2 mins. Then again green light and after some time again red light with SONY logo. And continues this loop. While I tried to switch it on it just vibrate & gives SONY logo on screen, nothing else & after some times goes off.
After several studies over the websites & XDA forums, I understood that there was a error occurred while flashing Kernel. But when I tried to fix it by the methods suggested over the webpages, I got nothing to work for my device as for every process (be it by Flash Tool or by CMD window of windows) the flashing is not being started at all while I am trying to flash the Kernel & after an hour also when I am disconnecting my phone, CMD or Flash tool is showing error of Flash failure & stating it as "Too many Links". I can't understand what this meant to.
My device being connected with PC via Flash Tool both in Flashmode & Fast Boot mode, that means my device is only soft bricked & I am sure that there must be some way to get it back working.
Please help me guys..
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. See if this helps, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708815 Also, maybe this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2311964
Hi Friend, Thanks for your reply. But my issue is not with the ftf file. I am having the ftf file. My issue is flashing of the same.
Whenever I am trying to flash the ftf file it does not go beyond "Flashing Data" stage. And when I try to flash only Kernel, it does not starts yet.

Hi!
I hope that someone can help me with my problema
I have an xperia lt26ii, I was trying to flash the lollipop rom,
I was following this guide
http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=1005010
Any way, everything was going perfect (i have flash like 5 Android phones with no problems at all)
but when I was finally flashing the room I copy the worng file in the device, It was an error grabbing a file that was for the Galaxy s4 gt9500, so while un TWRP, I started flashing this file, a few moments after the program started, it asked again if I wanted to continue and I notice at that time that I was about to flash a totally different room, so I click cancel.
ok, so right now The phone wont start, I am following this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1849170
I cant post there since this is a new account
I have full Access to TWRP
I can Enter flash mode
I have 40% of battery
I tried to flash the stock firmware and the kernel for my LT26ii but short after the process starts, I get an Error message
I hope that someone can help with my case, I dont know if it is posible to transfer the correct .zip file to the phone in TWRP mode
Thanks in advance!!
