GPS config Inspire with ICS - HTC Inspire 4G

I have an Inspire and I've been using the Blackout ICS Rom and my only problem is with GPS taking forever to lock...I am using GPS status to reset and download assist data but I'm still getting a lock on any satellites, I'm using the most recent AT&T radio... Should I be using a different radio? or do I need to do something else?
Thank you in advance for your help

I have luck by toggling mobile data off and then back on. I use GPS test by chartcross. Usually it will start by weather widget not getting location. I then open GPS test and it won't lock. After toggling mobile network off and then back on it locks and then weather widget gets location again. They are working on a fix for these issues.

I'm not familiar with that particular rom, but you may need to flash Inspiremod to get the gps to work right.

DO NOT flash inspire mod on blackout. It will mess things up.

Like I said, I am not familiar with that rom, I just know virtually every other rom I have ran needs to have it flashed for the gps to work right.

You have the right idea but the file itself isn't compatible with blackout

I knew it sounded like it was on the right track but I figured that the Mods for the Inspire that are out there for ICS are only for AOSP/AOKP not the new Sense ROMs that people are actually using as daily drivers now that everything pretty much works

Wind Users and MIUI!

Hello fellow Wind Mobile users,
Is anyone here using MIUI? If so, would you be kind enough to post your /system/etc/apns-conf.xml file?
Also, does mms AND data work for you guys? I'm having a hard time getting it working..
I can get you the cm 7 one if you want. Mms working great here. Data too. Almost 6mbps dl and 2 up.

That'd be awesome! I'll try flashing the CM7 one onto MIUI. Should work just fine since MIUI is based on CM7.

There must be some huge issue with MIUI and Wind, I'm trying the new Dev's port of it now, hopefully this one works!
Works for me
I'm using version 1.11.4 miui port by Whitehawkx and data works great! Only issue i have is it keeps going in to airplane mode randomly and staying there only fix is reboot. Very annoying. But do tell if you can get data to work on the optimized one available on these forums!
Using same version as epicsquare and data working great.

No issues with airplane mode for me but i remember some users in his Rootzwiki thread talking about problems like that. Cant remember if it was the same issue as you thou.

Yeah I've seen T-Mobile users using that one no problem. But then for some reason Wind users are having difficulty with it. I think there might be an internal setting making it specific to T-Mobile users. Not 100% sure though.

Basically what I did was flash Weapon G2X, grab the /system/etc/apns-conf.xml file, install MIUI, replace the apns-conf.xml file with the one from Weapon G2X, reboot, reset to factory defaults, then when I rebooted it had the apns setup.

Nope, just flash it
Flash it and use the App "GPS Status" to reload the agps data. That gives the best results.
My GPS I's not accurate anymore. It's about 250 yards off. It only gets precise with wifi. Is there a way to flash back to what I had? I'm in the U.S.

You redownload the agps data Luke i wrote in the notice section in the first post? If you want to go back get the gps.conf from your Rom and copy it into system/etc. or if you haven't other mod reflash your Rom without wipe.

I had the same exact problem. Data on CM9 and MikMIUI was intermittent, if at all. After trying just about everything to fix data on ICS, I decided to re-flash to COMPLETE stock and go from there. Initially, I used Revolutionary to S-OFF my phone and I now suspect something in Rev S-OFF was causing the data issues. This is what I did:
1. Re-locked bootloader
2. Used Blue's guide to go back to S-ON and complete stock
3. Updated to 1.63 via OTA
4. Unlocked bootloader with HTCDev
5. Flashed CWM 5.0.2.7 and Superuser
6. Used JuopunutBear to S-OFF
7. Flashed CM9
This process took awhile but I've been running CM9 Alpha 5 for the past few days and data has been solid, no issues at all. I guess JuonpunutBear>Revolutionary

Kinda sounds like there could be something to that. And I'm just spitballin this but I've never had any of these issues with data that everyone else is having, or has had (on any ROM I've ever flashed). I bought my phone S-ON and used Juopunutbear for S-OFF. Never before, or since then have i had data issues. Can anyone else attest to that who used Revolutionary to get S-OFF vs Juopuntutbear as far as data issues go?
And anyone else who knows more on the subject, is that a possibility?

For the wire trick, I used a 1/2 foot of old coaxial cable from the middle of the cable and stripped off a 1/2 inch of each end's protective layer. Seemed easier and more efficient than using an ethernet cable
i just did it and used a paperclip worked fine going to try miui now will let you know
data works fine thanks a million for input had something to do with S-on idk seems strange..... flashing the boot.img so many times must cause a bug ...... doesn't matter now all is good
try this!
Sorry, I didn't think to post here.

Sprint's been doing something to the tower closest to my house and I've been permaroamig at my house going on 3 weeks now. Sprint told me it might be a while before they fix the problem. I've been missing calls and they only go through when I force my phone to roam.
