I've pulled the apk from the stock rom and placed it on system/app but it doesn't install on reboot. Any help would be highly appreciated.

So get it out of whichever ROM you flashed. Is that so hard?
just open the zip, get the vending.apk, and push it to /system/app.
My problem is i want to install multiple apk's into my /system/app and som of them is going to overwrite the old apk's how to i do that?. if it can help i have clockworkmod installed.
deleted the file AxT9ime. apk any idea how to install it back guyz???

I accidentally removed the email app on a rooted version of gingerbread. I backed it up, but apparently, it didn't back up successfully. Can someone provide the APK and installation instructions? I need it for my work email.

In case no one provides it briefly and you need it urgently, you can download any GB Rom and extract the email.apk from its /system/app directory.
Then copy it to your phones /system/app using a root browser, and set it's permissions to rw-r-r (644)
Reboot & you should be good

Could someone help me? I uninstalled the Task Manager by mistake. I already extracted it from the zip file of the rom, but i am not sure about how to reinstall it. I am using NExtGen Rom
If you already have the apk, simply use a root explorer and copy the apk to system/app folder. Change permissions to rw-r--r--. Reboot, and done!
