Please find me what happened wrong with that Tablet
Regards
venkat

Since it seems you are using Windows, have you installed the device drivers for your tablet? Should be included in the HCL ME PC Connect software package.

Hi my mate. i have found 2 updates i have test one only and i succed to update it.
these is from another forum:
<<ok new download link for firmware update http://www.multiupload.com/5DI5AAL5BQ
i have found a issue with it when you go into android market because this as the latest android market apk it will let you download games etc free and paid but on some it comes up not enough memory, but i noticed by going into settings and clearing google framework and shutting down tablet a few times it allowed me to download a lot more i have put a earlier android market apk on which works perfect, but when i shut down tablet it goes back to newest android market apk?so if you know of a way to delete the android market apk on the tablet let me know?
////////////////////////////////////////////////////
please note before you start you must have your tablet charging with tablet charger otherwise it will not let you put firmware on tablet
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
the way of flash the firmware of v10
sd-card into tablet while turned off
1,press the "menu"+""power"ON button at the same time
2.release the “power” after the boot up.and keep holding menu
3.pls release the "menu" after the there is a flash firmware picture with a android holding a brown bag/box
4. then you will have to do some scrolling with these buttons
5 function of the button front of the device is page up
6 function of the button of "meun" is page down
7 function of the button of "Home" is confirmation (to install firmware)
you will have to scroll to install from sd-card then press home button
you will have to scroll to your firmware them press home button to install
if you ever need to reflash or restart your tablet for any reason you can do this by holding the the on button and menu?which will allow you to reload firmware etc >>
motherofallbattles thanks a lot

USB OTG control problem
I've updated the firmware successfully.
But now I have a new issue with the USB OTG. I cannot use the USB OTG control to change from host mode to device mode. Everytime I try to go and click on USB OTG control, it throws error "the application USB OTG (com....) has stopped unexpectedly". Ive tried to reset to factory defaults...but now seems the problem is still stuck there. I cannot go into ADB to do the rooting without enabling the 'device' mode connection for the USB. pl help.
Ive googled but none of the solutions seem to be working.

USB problem
hi all
I.ve updated with the file from the above post and noe I have the same problem with the usb
force close - no way to connect to PC
please help
You can try this method to root, it is for another similar vimicro device:
Q: How to root the Haipad M8?
A: You need the GingerBreak and some manual work.
You need to have an installed Android SDK with adb.exe or take this archive with adb.exe only. And you need to have a modified USB driver.
Connect the Haipad M8 to the PC (USB OTG). You will have to install modified USB driver if it is needed.
"USB debugging mode" must be enabled in the device.
Run the cmd.exe and go to a directory where the adb.exe is located (for example: cd d:\adb)
Run command:
Code:
adb root
adb shell
must be # in the prompt (root mode)
Code:
cd /bin
check a symlink su
Code:
ls -l --color=never su
"su -> busybox" is not right. Delete the symlink su
Code:
rm ./su
Install the Gingerbreak and root device.
Install the RootCheker and check the root.
Instructions taken from here: http://www.chinadigitalcomm.com/haipad-m8-vimicro-vc882-t10830.html

Can you try to install the attached package and see how it goes. Just confirm you want to replace the existing version. It worked for me.

Sounds like your ADB is not working. Can you connect to your device thru ADB from a PC?
Code:
adb devices
Should echo your S/N. If it says "List of devices attached" followed by blank (nothing) then your ADB is not working and you need drivers for W7, W8. You also have to add the path to platform tools to your Windows system environment variables path so the system can find it.
Code:
which adb
Should echo "/system/bin/adb" otherwise you don't have the adb binary installed on your device.
Code:
adb version
Should echo 1.0.29 for 4.1.1
Should echo 1.0.30 or 1.0.31 for 4.2.1 (secure adb)

Thanks man, btw how do you thank on here to make ur thank meter grow
I ran into the same problem with win7. When I plugged in my tablet, it seemed like it would lose the connection shortly after connecting it. I eventually got it to root by running motochopper, and then plugging in my tablet. This was the only thing that worked, even after installing every Asus USB driver know lol.
Hope this helps

if device is not shown in adb then there will be some possibilties like
you haven't properly installed the driver or older version of drivers
or you haven't have all the binaries files to run adb command
or previous adb server was not killed
to prevent that
install updated drivers, check whether you have all binary files
and for killing adb server try these commands
adb kill-server
adb start-server
adb devices
hit thanks if helped

[Q] adb not working twrp 2.5.0.0

so im trying to get into adb shell on my device. i have twrp 2.5.0.0 installed and when hooked up to my pc the "adb devices" command shows nothing. the reason im trying to use the adb shell through twrp is because im pretty sure i have some file system corruption and want to run e2fsck to fix it. ive tried unplugging the device from my pc, killing the adb server, restarting it, and plugging my device back in. im running windows 7 ultimate 64bit on my pc with the asus drivers. what can i do to either get into adb shell through twrp or fix my filesystem another way? im in dire need of some help

You can run commands directly from twrp terminal and there is no difference between adb shell and terminal on the tablet.

tf300t fastboot vs usb cable

My problem is my tablet is visible in normal mode on my pc. Bootloader 4.2.1, The Device is unlocked ok. adb devices: #serie ok, and adb reboot-bootloader function works. The tablet will reboot into fastboot mode, but I am unable to find a driver that works on my pc. I installed 1.97 pc asus sync, google sdk, minimal adb fasboot driver, all indicates error code 10
"fastboot devices" does not work. Rck is on and the icon does not flashes, the fastboot reboot feature is '' Waiting for device ". So if I disconnect and reconnect the USB cable, the tablet will restart on the OS...
Even tried with a live linux cd and still the same problem...
Note my usb cable has been replaced by a generic for my original cable had become unstable.
It can be the cause of my problem. Of course I tested with 2 cables? Factory reset and unlocke with v7 and v8 apk, and also an OEM recovery to latest firmware 10.6.1.27.5-20130902
I would like to set up a recovery to try others Roms,
Thanks for your help.

First of all, your boot loader must end with 27.5. Check it out when you are unsure before you do anything more.
Then try to flash Kang TWRP from your SD Card with Terminal Emulator using the following code:
dd if=/sdcard/ twrp_tf300t_kang_2.8.7.2.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4
For more information have a look at Josh’s thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/transformer-tf300t/development/recovery-twrp-t3046479
For this soluce the tablet need to be root...
I have make this but not working, the terminal not see the file on sd card....
On terminal i see
[email protected]:/ $ su
[email protected]:/ # dd if=/sdcard/foo.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4
/sdcard/foo.img cannot open for read: no such file or directory
