Hi my mate. i have found 2 updates i have test one only and i succed to update it.
these is from another forum:
<<ok new download link for firmware update http://www.multiupload.com/5DI5AAL5BQ
i have found a issue with it when you go into android market because this as the latest android market apk it will let you download games etc free and paid but on some it comes up not enough memory, but i noticed by going into settings and clearing google framework and shutting down tablet a few times it allowed me to download a lot more i have put a earlier android market apk on which works perfect, but when i shut down tablet it goes back to newest android market apk?so if you know of a way to delete the android market apk on the tablet let me know?
////////////////////////////////////////////////////
please note before you start you must have your tablet charging with tablet charger otherwise it will not let you put firmware on tablet
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
the way of flash the firmware of v10
sd-card into tablet while turned off
1,press the "menu"+""power"ON button at the same time
2.release the “power” after the boot up.and keep holding menu
3.pls release the "menu" after the there is a flash firmware picture with a android holding a brown bag/box
4. then you will have to do some scrolling with these buttons
5 function of the button front of the device is page up
6 function of the button of "meun" is page down
7 function of the button of "Home" is confirmation (to install firmware)
you will have to scroll to install from sd-card then press home button
you will have to scroll to your firmware them press home button to install
if you ever need to reflash or restart your tablet for any reason you can do this by holding the the on button and menu?which will allow you to reload firmware etc >>
motherofallbattles thanks a lot

USB OTG control problem
I've updated the firmware successfully.
But now I have a new issue with the USB OTG. I cannot use the USB OTG control to change from host mode to device mode. Everytime I try to go and click on USB OTG control, it throws error "the application USB OTG (com....) has stopped unexpectedly". Ive tried to reset to factory defaults...but now seems the problem is still stuck there. I cannot go into ADB to do the rooting without enabling the 'device' mode connection for the USB. pl help.
Ive googled but none of the solutions seem to be working.

USB problem
hi all
I.ve updated with the file from the above post and noe I have the same problem with the usb
force close - no way to connect to PC
please help

You can try this method to root, it is for another similar vimicro device:
Q: How to root the Haipad M8?
A: You need the GingerBreak and some manual work.
You need to have an installed Android SDK with adb.exe or take this archive with adb.exe only. And you need to have a modified USB driver.
Connect the Haipad M8 to the PC (USB OTG). You will have to install modified USB driver if it is needed.
"USB debugging mode" must be enabled in the device.
Run the cmd.exe and go to a directory where the adb.exe is located (for example: cd d:\adb)
Run command:
Code:
adb root
adb shell
must be # in the prompt (root mode)
Code:
cd /bin
check a symlink su
Code:
ls -l --color=never su
"su -> busybox" is not right. Delete the symlink su
Code:
rm ./su
Install the Gingerbreak and root device.
Install the RootCheker and check the root.

Can you try to install the attached package and see how it goes. Just confirm you want to replace the existing version. It worked for me.

[Q] HP Zeen C150 Tablet

Anybody have one of these? I recently got my hand on one, and the estation c1650 printer also, and wondering if there is anybody else with on, would like root, and or wipe the device and get ride of the stupid hp touchsmart UI. it would be a dream to run a galaxy tab rom or something. I though i saw a galaxy tab floating around? a system dump maybe? But any help would be appreciated.
HP Zeen
OK, I managed to use the latest Android (2.3) SDK usb drivers to get the windows to recognize the device. I could copy files to/from the SD card.
USB\VID_03F0&PID_9F11&REV_0223&MI_01
USB\VID_03F0&PID_9F11&MI_01
To get it to work, I had to edit the inf file at location:
"[SDK PATH]\google-usb_driver\android_winusb.inf" and add the following information:
;FOR ZEEN
%SingleAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_03F0&PID_9F11&REV_0223&MI_01
%CompositeAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_03F0&PID_9F11&MI_01
ADB currently will not recognize the device. I'm not sure what's messed up. Calling HP now to see about proper USB drivers.
Zeen
OK, HP says the USB drivers for the zeen come with the printer and even though I plugged in the first time it didn't work, the second time it did and Win 7 recognized it as a HP zeen. Ran the disk install in between.
That said ADB still has no idea. Fresh eclipse SDK install. Any thoughts on how to get ADB to recognize it?
Let's keep this thread alive. I got the drivers installed with your help. Can't get adb to see mine either. There has to be something we are missing. I think this device is similar to the pandigital novel so I have been reading over there. I will keep working.
Apparently, some firmwares seem to disable "adb" service...
Nice to hear someone else is out there trying. I found the following in a different post about the galaxy s, tried it with the Z4root, and while the command seems to take, it didn't work to get ADB. I tried it on a couple of different machines, let me know if it works for you. Also, when I called HP about the drivers they (at least the support techs) didn't know squat about android. Not helpful.
"Apparently, some firmwares seem to disable "adb" service on the Galaxy S.
So in case you run into this problem (adb unable to see the device) what you will need is to modify /default.prop on the SGS.
Here is what I had originally:
Code:
#
# ADDITIONAL_DEFAULT_PROPERTIES
#
ro.secure=1
ro.debuggable=0
persist.service.adb.enable=0
To enable ADB on SGS
1. Run on the device: setprop persist.service.adb.enable 1 to temporarily switch it on.
2. pull /default.props with adb and modify the "ro.secure=0" and "persist.service.adb.enable=1"
2. mount -o remount,rw rootfs /
3. push modified default.props back to /
In more detail:
1. Root your device (see FAQ sticky post)
2. Install shell emulator on the device
3. In shell emulator, enable ADB (not sure if you need to run "su" before that):
setprop persist.service.adb.enable 1
4. Now, you should be able to connect to the device with ADB (temporarily). If not, make sure your udev rules (for Linux: /etc/udev/rules.d/51-android.rules) are smth like:
SUBSYSTEM=="usb|usb_device", ATTRS{idVendor}=="04e8", MODE="0666"
5. To make the change permanent:
adb pull /default.props .
(this will copy default props to local directory)
6. Modify the two properties as follows:
ro.secure=0
persist.service.adb.enable=1
7. Re-mount the root filesystem on the device in read-write mode (requires "su" before that):
mount -o remount,rw rootfs /
8. Now overwrite the /default.props on the device with modified one:
adb push default.props /default.props"
Okay, z4root did give me root access. I installed root explorer and terminal emulator. I am trying to find adb wireless so I can see if we can adb into the device using that. I think if I can i can install the market on the zeen
RootExplorer
Got a link to the RootExplorer APK? When temporarily rooted, I tried to install the market APK and got the finger. Did you perma-root or just do temporary?
I don't know anything about wireless ADB. What's the story with that? (admittedly, I'm a developer but getting up to speed on hacking the thing open).
I dont think I am aloud to post the root explorer apk. Wireless adb is just supposed to let you use adb without plugging anything in. Unfortunately, it says my device isnt rooted when trying to run it. Im gonna keep playing around with it.
Hey can you try to run adb over wifi. Just hook up your zeen to wifi and your pc and run adb like normal, but when you first run it type "adb connect xxx.xxx.xxx:5554
replace xxx with your zeen ip address. See if it lets you connect like that.
all the zeen but the adb drivers are in the zeen itself your just useing and uncapatable cable so it wont install usb driver and masstorage ones with out the proper cable, the adb drivers you will only get when useing sdk tool and has to be in debuging mode and pluse it has to have the correct cords like useing a samsung usb with a motorolla usb and sry i faild english and hate typeing so to lazy to do spell check like any one else will u get my giff the adb driver will install same time sdk will just its kinda tricky getting access to them and makething them work, a good way to test is plug in your w.e droid and go to your cpu cmd window, and type adb shell if it finds you droid then your golden but if not then bad cable or not in debuggin mode and have to have sdk installed and packages installed that come with it....
untile you can take the h p block of the android makret it wil never install or wont install properly more or less a complete rom will come out in like 3-5 months with the market on it and idk if the printing app will still be there but trust me you wont get it but there are 3 other alterative markets out there and 4shared.com has not let no one down............
if you want the android market on the hp tablet for the zeen or any other tablet that people are haveing a problem get anything and don't like yam or black market or any of that b.s g0od t0 4shared.kom and download a apk file with the name applanet and you should install the version 2.7.3 and i tried all the other version some will install and some wont but so far this one install and has 92 percent of the real adroid market and looks just like the market i found everything from root explorer to romanger and every app i seen in my droid i found on there and updates trust me if you want a g0od makret, well i just gave you the answer, n0w s0me one make 2.2 work on this thing, i have one to donate, [email protected] for some work to be done
Thanks for the tip on the Android Market! I installed it on mine and it works

Hi guys, regarding the problem about rooting the original GB, it can be done, and it's not that complicated.
First of all there are a couple of things that you have to consider before starting to root.
1. Be sure that you have installed the original V20G GB ROM.
2. if you have it installed and tried different methods to root on it do a factory reset before trying this one.
3. Be absolutely sure that you have all the drives installed when working with the phone in USB debugging mode, if not install them.
4. Download SuperOneClickv1.9.5-ShortFuse, after download extract the files into a folder with the same name as the archive.
5. After you extracted the files, go to C:\Windows\System32 and copy the cmd.exe to the folder where you extracted the files, in my case C:\Users\myuser\Desktop\SuperOneClickv1.9.5-ShortFuse\ADB.
6. Connect the phone to the PC with Debugging mode (Enter the phone settings menu, to the Development and tick the USB debugging mode)
7. right click on cmd.exe from the ADB folder, Run as administrator, than write:
adb devices (after this command you should see your device id)
adb shell
echo 1 > /data/local/lge_adb.conf,
Do not close the window, live it like that.
8. Start SuperOneClick.exe, leave the settings to the SuperOneClick as they are when it opens, click on ROOT and wait, it will say Starting ADB server..., than it will do it's job and than it will appear Waiting for device... it will say ok and that if it freezes while running psneuter do the following:
a. Turn USB Debugging OFF wait until it will appear in the window again Starting ADB server..., after that,
b. Turn USB Debugging ON, and after this trick it will start rooting.
This is the method that i did twice and it worked like a charm.
After this it will ask you to reboot the phone, DO NOT FORGET, and after the reboot click on the SuperUser icon in the phone's menu. it will aks you if you allow or deny it's access. click allow. After this you must connect to the internet via Wireless or a apn, click on the superuser icon again if you exit it, go to settings, scroll down and you will see Su Binary v.XXXX, click on that to update it, than go to market and search the super user app and update it. Also update busybox. After this you have root access and you can install a custom recovery. Also you can install your preferred Kernel if you don't like the stock one.
If you do not get the Allow Deny message the root was not completed successfully. do a factory reset and try again the same steps.
see images attached as proof.
Well, I installed V20 C via doktornotor method but couldn root it by flashing the signed su binary via recovery.
So I tried the above mentioned method and it worked. But every time the Superuser Force closes and its too buggy.. Any solutions. ?
Yes, same here, i tried doktornotor's method both 20C and 20G and didnt work, this Super1click works but su force closes everytime Any ideeas??
====================EDIT============================
I managed to root gingerbread with doktornotor's method V20g
Just use his image, BUT dont use su-2.3.6.3-cd-signed.zip
Download from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1110733 su-2.3.6.2-efgh-signed.zip and install it wia clockworkmod recovery zip installer and works like a charm

Hi,
Actually I want root my LG Optimus One .I have INDIA phone with official V20c Rom. Can anybody help me how to root my phone without any risk of bricking it. I have also read many thread about rooting 2.3.3 through super one click {like this one h**p://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1200167} but people were saying something about force close errors... So can anybody provide me a successful and error free method of rooting it. and Please also share me the method to unroot it.
Thanks in advance.
I've read in a topic that I can't find, that after rooting usb debugging should always be on and disabling it could cause problems. I can't remember what kind of problems. Is that true? Should I keep it enabled?
Ok im pretty sure my phone is rooted coz it said in the superuser log root-allowed so yes thnx for helping me root my phone, now install custom recovery bla blah and then rom install

[Q] Updated to JB, and a few issues started happening...

I updated to Jellybean last night, and was in the process of rooting it and installing CWM again. I plug the pad into my computer, and realized that it's not being recognized by my computer. It's not even charging it! However, when I attach the wire to the wall adapter, it's charging. When I plug it into my comptuer, and if the pad's screen is on sleep, it autowakes it though.
I tried using someone else's cable and the same issue still occurs. Is there a way I can install CWM on my pad and root it without using adb commands on my computer? because that could be my only solution now. Unless, there's a way I can get it to recognize on my computer.
P.S. I had root+CWM installed when I was on ICS.
BUMP.
No one else has this issue? I'm 99% sure its my port, but how can i ota fastboot and flash cwm and root?

It's a problem that some users have, and in my mind it was not resolved.
But If you want to install your recovery, you can do with TWRP recovery and Terminal Emulator app (play store)
You should search if you can make it by the same process for CWM, apparently no, cause you need fastboot.
Try this : [GUIDE] Help for flash more faster when you use Fastboot Line Command maybe you've got a problem with your fastboot. I don't know.
It's an easy installation of fastboot.

There is an option to allow ADB over network, but I haven't experimented with it. If you were adventurous, you could try it and let the community know what happens?
In the ROM I'm running (Baked Blackbean #5, Android 4.1.1 and based on CyanogenMOD) you can select this option by going to Settings-->Developer Options--->"ADB over network"
I just attempted to do this, and it worked rather flawlessly. Enable ADB over network, and it will give you the IP address of your device (in my case, 172.16.1.22:5555).
Then, follow the steps below. This assumes you have a rooted device. To do the terminal commands on my tablet, I use the "Terminal Emulator" program, free from the Market.
This is really simple.
First make sure you are rooted. Download a terminal emulator from market (there are lots that are free). Make sure that your android is connected to your WiFi and get the WiFi IP address. Open the terminal program and type:
su
setprop service.adb.tcp.port 5555
stop adbd
start adbd
Now go to your computer (assuming that you are using windows) create a shortcut on the desktop for "cmd.exe" (without the quotations).
Right click on the cmd shortcut and choose "Run as Administrator"
Change to your android-sdk-windows\tools folder
Type:
adb connect ***wifi.ip.address***:5555
(example: adb connect 192.168.0.105:5555)
adb should now say that you are connected. Note: if you are too fast to give the connect command it may fail. so try at least 2 times 5 seconds apart before you say this doesn't work.

To put the device back to USB, once you get it working (because ADB over network is NOT SECURE):
And you can disable it and return ADB to listening on USB with
setprop service.adb.tcp.port -1
stop adbd
start adbd

Got this information from: Here
I do want to note that all I did was verify that ADB is detected over wifi. When I type 'adb devices' on my Windows 7 PC, it detects the IP address of my tablet, which indicates the two devices are communicating correctly. I didn't try pushing/pulling files since I have no need for that, but hopefully this helps you.
I will try next week (cause I'm off @t work) this process, just for seen if it works well.
I don't need it, but it's interesting to know this.
The post which speak about this use is in N1 forum => here -> Post #22.
But it's more complete here : How can I connect to Android with ADB over TCP?
Apps which are automate this process :
- adbWireless - no updated since Sept 5 - 2010 - You need root access
- WiFi ADB - You need root access - Updated September 29, 2012
- ADB WiFi - Updated August 27, 2012 - You need root access
Well done @opethfan89 :good:

@opethfan89, ADB over network will probably not work for me because I don't have root anymore. Appreciate the help :good:
@Philos64, thank you for your post as well. I will try that sometime this week and let you know the results as well.
Oh wait, I don't think that method will work. I will need su permission to flash twrp. I don't have root anymore either

Perhaps I'm wrong, but you don't need root to be able to flash a custom recovery, since the recovery operates outside of the Android OS (and root only affects app permissions within the OS). You would just need fastboot to be able to flash the recovery. Do you have the proper drivers installed on your computer? Can you try different USB ports? Maybe a USB hub? Try it on a different computer to, just to process of eliminate any kinks between the tablet and the physical connection of the USB cable.

[Q] Permission denied

Hi everyone. PLEASE HELP. I am trying to push the zip files into internal sdcard on Xperia S and after the command
adb push rom.zip sdcard/image
I get the following message
failed to copy 'rom.zip' to 'sdcard/image': Permission denied
How can I get the grant the permission.
Any suggestions
Thank you in advance.
You need to grant root permissions to ADB.
a)
try:
1. adb connect (wi-fi or usb)
2. su
3. adb push rom.zip sdcard/image
b)
maybe try another folder, not "image"

Hi, thanks for response.
What happens, su does not work with adb you have to run the shell in order to get it work, but instead what I did I run
adb root
adb remount
and then I try to push it, but now I get read only file system message.
The problem with su, as soon as I run the shell to run the su it disconnects the phone and I cannot connect back to phone I gives me "device not available" although it runs su command after shell and I see the # sign.
I tried to copy to different location no luck, but I tried to copy
adb push rom.zip /sdcard/system and it went through I was like WOOW finally, but now I faced with another issue when I go to bootloader and locate the folder sdcard/system the files are not there . So again Im in deadlock.
any idea?
Thank you.
Hi. I am a noob here. So not sure if this is the right suggestion for your query. Did you try going to recovery-storage-mount sd and finally mount usb storage. Make sure your phone is connected via usb. A simialr problem happened to me wherein I couldn't access internal sd while on recovery and this worked!
Please hit Thanks if I helped

Thanks for reply.
Yes, I did try that. I have problem with that too. When I enter to recovery mode the and connect the usb cable, PC does not recognize the phone. However, sd mounts successfully, but when I try to mount usb storage in the recovery mode I do not have an option other than unmount only.
I assume that if the pc does not recognize the phone then I have a driver issue, but I do not know where to find the driver. Although I do not have any issue when I connect the phone as fastboot or just with blank screen, on these states the pc recognizes the phone, but I can not copy or see the phones file system on the pc.
Thank you.
don't know the experia specifically but does sound like it maybe a driver issue, have you tried installing from here

First of all thank you guys for your time just letting you know I got my phone fixed and want share my experience. the only way I could do that I found a software which called Emma. After, with the phone hold down the volume DOWN (most people say it should be a volume up, but this is not working with this software) Emma should recognize the phone and then with few steps it will install the stock firmware on it. That's it!!

Minix Neo X5 Mini 4.2.2 root how to?

Hi,
I have Minix Neo X5 mini with android version 4.2.2.
There is pre rooted custom rom around internet for now. I tried to root it by myself and saw that it already has root access. But it is not proper. So when i check with root checker so on, it says it is not rooted.
So professionals;
What is missing on my device? I already installed supersu with adb. And tried to install busybox from store but bussybox did not worked at all.
I believe that i don't know some easy details for you. But not easy for me
it's ok
i finally root my device. If someone need the needen files attached. Please follow instructions on bat file.
Select "Connect PC" after all reboots on device.
Device has to be connected as mass storage. USB Development has to be selected. And connect pc via usb. Select "Connect USB" on the device. Run TPSparkyRoot.bat file. Follow instructions.

Did you had Moborobo app installed in your PC? After every reboot i had to go to Settings > USB > Connect to PC.
PS: I dont know how is supposed to work that bat file, since it try to change SuperSU permissions without first copying it. So i add it (bold):
echo --- Installing SuperSU
adb push SuperSU.apk /system/app/SuperSU.apk
adb shell chown root.root /system/app/SuperSU.apk
I hope it work for you.
@tezouro
Hi,
I did it few hours later my own mex , but thanks anyway
What after rooting?

Thanks! but could please let me know what we can do extra in minix5 other than getting su access?
It worked
The bat solution worked on my minix, but i had to install moborobo first, and then everytime the minix was rebooting because of the script steps, going to the minix menu and activating the connect pc option again before clicking space bar for the next step.
