Photon Q RSD Compatible FXZ - Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE

Thanks to Shabbypenguin for his fastbootable partitions of the Photon Q and thanks to mhous for modifying parts of the Atrix HD .xml file into the Photon Q.
This RSD Package contains 2 xmls for use, one standard one named after the build number, and one that does not flash the stock bootloader and is named as such. Put the one you want for use into RSD Lite and fire away. Have plenty of battery power (or use a Motorola Factory-Style cable or converter from Team Black Hat and you don't have to worry about that) and ALWAYS have your email from Motorola including the unlock code (UNIQUE_KEY) for your device backed up or saved somewhere. Just in case the fastboot locks it without you wanting it do, you'll have that code.
Use this file with Motorola's RSD Lite 5.7 or higher, and with the latest Motorola USB drivers.

Happy flashing!

oh if you needed the xml i have that too. in fact i need to talk with you privately about some of the files. i posted up enough to fix anyones phone, but not everything in the zip

Do not flash this, it has bricked my phone... the MD5 for the system image is wrong, and even if you update that in the XML, it still fails to flash and remains stuck at fastboot flash failure. :crying:
Does anyone have the correct system image? I have sent shabbypenquin a PM trying to figure this out.

Gave this a try w the newest drivers & can't get past the system img. Tried several times, decrompressing new each time with no success. Even tried different cables & ports, still no luck.
Anybody have any thoughts on this?

bump...

thats teh word on the street. unfortunately the system.img is pulled from sprints files i dont know what else i could do to fix it

What state is your phone in? I can try to replicate as long as you're not soft-bricked.

Thanks KP, I'm not bricked; this is how I got into my "sticky" situation (pun totally intended). After system img failed, I was left in fastboot I flashed my recovery & restored. Other than the sticky fastboot, running fine. Well, I still haven't fixed my original problem but, that's for another thread.

Is this the same issue we are having w system.img?

hopefully Motorola will release one. they said in the FAQs that they are choosing not to at this time, but hopefully they will at some point.
in the meantime, i wish we could make one. at this moment it seems we don't have any way of downgrading back to the original modem? (it was mentioned that there was a new modem in the update?)

This package does not contain system.img!
This is here in case you break something that recovery does not touch.
If anyone has a problem with this being posted, let me know and I will pull the link. Props to mattlgroff for the original.
I edited the original file so that the broken system.img does not flash, everything else is unchanged. I tested this and it works fine.
I offer no support for this & it will wipe your internal sd card, you have been warned.

No problems whatsoever. I wanted to personally thank everyone on this forum for all of the dev help. When I unlocked my bootloader, I couldn't get CWM to flash properly, and I wound up erasing my ROM (don't ask lmao) and after 2 frustrating hours the posted boot.img & system.img files saved my phone. I am in everyone's debt, and I am willing to try out anything experimental for y'all now that I have TWRP and two good Nandroids. Thank u again for all of your help and hard work.

I do have an issue each time i install the moto/sprint 77 update, my phone does nothing but reboot. I have a nandroid that is pre-update, but am I missing out on anything by not installing it? I rooted, installed arrgh's kernel and deodexed system before the update. Should i do an odexed system, stock kernel then update?

This kind of worked for me. I was able to get out of the bootloader screen, but now it's stuck on the initial screen with just the red Motorola circle.
Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Without more details as to what caused your problems originally I am kinda in the dark. I would guess that you have a problem with your system img, this RSD package should revert everything except system to stock. The bad news here is that if you did have a custom recovery, you don't anymore. If you have a good backup you will have to fastboot flash recovery again before you can use it. If you don't have a backup see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33391825&postcount=9

What I did was I went into the bootloader, flashed the zip, and rebooted after it finished. Now I am unable to access the bootloader, as the phone won't boot. By now, the battery's dead, anyways. Whenever I turn the device off, it turns on a couple seconds later. I would rather not take it apart, but if I have to, I'll do it.
The only thing I can access is the recovery, which just results in this:

I really don't understand what my quote had to do with your post...but ok. Like I said, the poster (not myself) is on 3.0.0.6, and if the other people would have read his original post they would have realized that since he said both froyo and gingerbread ROM's are working.
Now, are you doing a full wipe before trying a different ROM, and if so, are you going into mounts and storage and formatting boot and system? It's not always a requirement of flashing a ROM, but might solve your problem.
ok i tried that after i flashed cm7 now when i try to restore back into my iceglacier or my thunderbolt rom my phone just hangs what do i need to do to restore my backups properly right now my phone only boots into cm7 do i have to downgrade my clockwork recovery in rom manager or something?

he could have used 2.5.1.x to flash his first two ROMs, upgraded to 3.0.0.5 and flashed CM7, then tried flashing other froyo ROMs to no success. But that's beside the point. I don't know why I quoted you other than to point out that you made a lot of assumptions about what he did or didn't do and yet questioned the assumptions of others. The biggest problem is that very little information was given, forcing people to fish for info like we are playing fix his phone pictionary. Usually when someone doesn't give a lot of information about a problem it's because they didn't take the time to learn about what they were doing like they should have...
to op, if you want people to take the time to help you, take the time to explain what you did and what went wrong.

phone was shipped to me with cm7 rc3 on it. i flashed thunderbolt rom made a backup and than flashed ice glacier and made a back up. i tested out another gingerbread rom and didnt like so i wanted to go back to my thunderbolt rom. i went into cwm and picked restore backup. the whole process went but now my phone just hangs at the mytouch screen. the only thing im able to do now is boot back into cm7. it seems like i can only boot into gingerbread now.
are you wiping data at all? wiping cache partition and dalvik cache? I've never seen ROM Manager show 3.0.0.6, and since I don't have RM Premium out of curiosity is that the lastest version? How did you get the 3.0.0.6 recovery on your phone? Have you done all backup/restore from Rom Manager, or did you manually go into recovery? Did you follow the directions in the op of the ROM you were having trouble installing or did you just flash? by "boot back into CM7" do you mean restore your CM7 backup? what do you mean by "another gingerbread ROM?"
Answer these questions and someone MIGHT be able to begin to understand your problem enough so that they can help you.
My understanding is CW 3.0.0.6 is just a modified version of 3.0.0.5 to allow us to flash both Ext 2 and Ext 4. It's readily available in this forum.

I am not sure what you have going on but I too havent ever seen Rom Manager show 3.0.0.6 but I too dont have the premium version. I saw you posted in my thread but you left alot of stuff out of your post. Like that you were having trouble flashing roms. My suggestion would be to download the latest rom manager and then download and flash the zip from my thread. Then replace your recovery with that one and try flashing some roms. Also if you have tried flashing Royal Glacier and cant, you can also check and make sure that the MD5 sums match with whats in the OP of the thread and your downloaded rom. I will be happy to try and help in any way I can. If you still cant get it then we need to get you set up with adb and have you send a logcat so I can try and see whats going on during boot.
You are most likely not running 3.0.0.6.
3.0.0.6 should have orange text where as 3.0.0.5 has green text.
cw 3.0.0.6 is technically not released yet and would not show up in the rom manager as in your pic. Something just seems weird with that. I do have the premium version as well, and have never seen that. I attached a thumbnail below for you to reference.
If for some reason you do have 3.0.0.6 installed re-download it and re-flash the image. That should take care of your problem.
I figured it out.

[AT&T][2.3.6]Heimdall One-Click Back-To-Stock UCKJ4 + Easy CWM install

Introduction
This package will totally reset your Infuse 4G to UCKJ4 . This package is intended for use on AT&T, however it will work with any device if you reset APN.
This package includes:
Repartitioning: Repartition to stock KJ4
Reloading: IBL/PBL, PARAM, SBL, SBL2, Kernel, Recovery, FactoryFS and modem
formatting:Cache and DBdata
This package does not wipe:
EFS(Where your serial number and carrier information is stored)
Data(where your market apps are stored)
SDCard (where your pictures are stored)
You may use this code to reformat the Data and SDCard *2767*3855# There is no way to do this from Download Mode. The code will leave the EFS untouched.
Download:

Instructions:
Get the latest version of java here: http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
Put your phone into "Download Mode"
Run the program once, and if it does not work, then check the "Flash Bootloaders" checkbox and flash again
Your device will end up as it came from the factory. You will be asked to set your device up again.
If you would like to install CWM on your device to restore or flash a custom ROM, I have prepared LinuxBozo's Defuse 1.5 kernel in a One-Click package here:
Download Defuse 1.5
To flash this package, follow the directions above.
Please note, this may not boot your device, but it will allow you to use CWM recovery. Hold the 3 button combo without USB plugged in to activate CWM mode.
How I created these package:
I obtained the stock 2.3 bootloader from a link LinuxBozo gave me
The stock part.pit came from my device using Heimdall(Download Pit option)
Uploaded the UCKJ4 firmware to my device
Performed "wipe data" in recovery mode
Exploited the root prompt at the battery charge sequence using UART and grabbed the stock, wiped dbdata/cache partitions and params.lfs partition
Created a Heimdall tar.gz package using Heimdall 1.3
Finally, I used my Heimdall One-Click *BETA* packager to generate these one-clicks
This procedure can be reproduced for any custom ROM in the future by using the dd command to obtain the factoryfs and kernels from any device. Bootloaders may be obtained from within this package as it is an executable JAR file which can be unzipped.
Thanks

I copied the first paragraph from another post I made. That was a typo.
You might want to put the defuse kernel in another thread. Don't want people flashing 2.2.1 kernels on 2.3.6
Also might want to make a Hellraiser kernel version for people that Odin'd the leak or Rogers users that want a quick root/cwm without Odin

This package is posted as a method to get your phone back to stock and the defuse kernel provides easy access to cwm.. I had it around and it works. I tested before posting. Its there because it will give CWM. I will probly post a new one later with a 2.3.6 kernel but for now, this is how you get CWM on your device from Linux or Mac with one click.
I needed to flash the bootloader in order to get mine to boot up, but its been running for ~1 hour now and looks pretty nice. Offhand, do you know if HDMI is working for you? I'll go ahead and test after posting and I'll include my results here.
Edit: Nevermind, found cross-post with the results I needed. Stock kernel, HDMI works, rooted kernel (Entropy, etc.) breaks HDMI as they're based on Rogers roms.

oh boy, there is always a risk of permabricking when flashing bootloaders, (unless you did the unbrickable mod or have a jtag)
ok to start to see if you are actually permabricked;
1 pull your battery out
2 get a good micro usb cable, try this with more than one if you have to, if you had a problem flashing it may have been caused by the cable.
3 insert the cable into the usb port and into the computer.
4 hold both volumes with the phone face down, while the volumes are held slide the battery into position. see if the phone enters the download warning screen, it will ask you if you are sure you want to flash custom firmware, hit volume up. it may also go into a phone + computer screen or strait into download mode. all are good signs.
if you end up in download mode congrats! reflash!
if the screen is still black id recommend sending the device to connexion for jtag flashing or to adam if he is willing to repair it, these methods will void the warranty do to hardware modification (the repair may require soldering) . you may also atempt a warranty repair with samsung or insurance replacement with att but if they find that you are responsible samsung will charge you for the repair and im not sure what the insurance company will do.

Help! I think my Mytouch 4G is bricked!!!
i have seen a LOT of these threads lately, and this thread is made to hopefully be able solve some of your problems.
most people think that a brick means "can't get into android system, phone is dead beyond repair." most of the time, this is NOT true.
Disclaimer: Please make sure you know what you are doing before proceeding. if your device wasn't bricked before but you somehow screwed it up, i will not be responsible. YOU are responsible for whatever happens to your device. i am just here to give you a few tips, and to help you out. once again, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING BEFORE DOING IT!
Needed Things:
-computer
-android SDK, ADB. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO INSTALL AND LEARN TO USE ADB, IT COULD SAVE YOUR DEVICE BIG TIME. we have plenty of guides on how to use adb, please search them up and READ THROUGH THEM.
-a Mytouch 4G, or HTC Panache
-USB cable
-SDcard (doesn't matter what size)
ask and answer these two questions to yourself:
1) can you enter bootloader?
2) can you enter recovery?
if you've answered yes to any one of them, then chances are, you are still saved.
Note: if you can't enter either one of those, and your device doesn't show any signs of life, then don't bother reading on, you are truly bricked.
Notice: When you try flashing the PD15IMG.zip in bootloader, make sure the phone is NOT connected to the computer.
For S-On users:
Q: help! my phone is stuck on the Mytouch logo screen!
A: pull the battery, and see if you can get into the bootloader using volume down+power buttons
if you can get into the bootloader:
1) see if you can wipe data/do a factory reset in bootloader.
2) flash the stock Glacier PD15IMG.zip file choose from either
Android 2.2.1 OR Android 2.3.4
rename both files to PD15IMG.zip if not already.
-put both files in the ROOT of your SDcard, reboot into bootloader/hboot, and follow the onscreen instructions
note: if you are still unclear on what to do, read the "HOW TO RESTORE TO STOCK" section
Q: bootloader is giving me Fail-PU errors when trying to update
A: refer to the eMMC section
For S-Off Rooted users:
rooted S-Off devices are a bit more complicated.
Q: help! i can't get into the android system, phone stuck on Mytouch logo!
A: like for S-On users, see if you can get into either the bootloader, but also the recovery (usually clockworkmod).
if you can get into either of those, wipe data/factory reset, and reboot.
Q: bootloader factory reset, still stuck on Mytouch screen
A: well, if you have clockworkmod recovery (or 4EXT recovery) get into the recovery, wipe all user data/cache/dalvik cache and try reflashing a backup, or flash a new rom.
Q: reflashing didn't work, clockworkmod is giving me errors about mounting something.
A: new way! try to clear cache and dalvik in recovery, somtimes that works. thanks to urmothersluvr for reminding me.
A: there are two things that cause this. both have VERY similar symptoms. the first is because of the failed eMMC chip (refer to eMMC chip section), and the second is because the recovery got messed up, probably because you've been switching between a lot of EXT3 and EXT4 roms. if this is the case, just download the PD15IMG.zip (Android 2.2.1) file (IT WILL RETURN YOU TO STOCK) and start over again. OR you can reflash the recovery through adb (MUST HAVE ENG HBOOT 0.85.2007). thanks to Nicgraner for reminding me! if bootloader gives Fail-PU errors, refer to eMMC section.
HOW TO RESTORE TO STOCK
here are clear instructions on how to flash to stock using the PD15IMG.zip file:
1) download the PD15IMG.zip file:
Android 2.2.1 Android 2.3.4
2) rename the file to PD15IMG.zip if not already
3) place the file in the root of your SDcard, meaning not in any folders
4) power off your device, and reboot into hboot/bootloader by press and holding power + volume down buttons
5) hboot/bootloader should recognize the file, and ask if you want to update
6) select "yes", and wait for the update to finish
*Selections are made with the volume buttons, and hit the power button to select*
7) when the update is finished, hit reboot
8) wait for the device to boot up (may take awhile, first time boot only)
9) congrats, you are now back to stock Mytouch 4G, either 2.2.1, or 2.3.4

if you think you have a failed eMMC...
many things can cause the eMMC to die. if you suspect that your eMMC chip has died, please check your eMMC serial using this guide here using adb (for rooted users only, since you must be in recovery for the command to work).
symptoms of failed eMMC:
-massive lagging all of the sudden in android system
-phone suddenly shut down, and you can't turn it on, no matter what you do (if this happens, then yes, you're bricked)
-recovery showing errors about not being able to mount things
-BOOTLOADER SHOWING FAIL-PU WHEN TRYING TO RESTORE BACK TO STOCK USING PD15IMG.ZIP, IF THIS HAPPENS, THEN YES, THAT MEANS YOU ARE TRULY BRICKED. FAIL-PU MEANS FAILED PARTITION UPDATE, MEANING THAT YOU CANNOT WRITE TO THE PHONE/EMMC CHIP ANYMORE.

Ok, so my chip has died and i can't turn my phone on. can i send it in to t-mobile to replace it?
A: yes! BUT YOU MUST STILL HAVE YOUR WARRANTY WITH T-MOBILE. if you are S-On, you should have absolutely NO problems replacing at all. if you are S-Off, you might encounter some minor problems, but replacing should still be ok. what i did was play dumb with them, and they just sent me a new one. my old one died of bad eMMC, it was rooted, S-off and everything, even the splash screen said "rooted HTC Glacier" on it.
hopefully, this guide has helped you understand more of what has just happened to your beloved Glacier (MT4G).
if i forgot anything, or if you have anything to add to this, PLEASE LET ME KNOW
if i have helped, please hit thanks!
for the corrupted recovery you don't necessarily need to flash pd15img..you could boot into bootloader then fastboot and reflash the recovery img of your choice. Although some may not know how to.. just a thought
EDIT: Forgot to explain why lol, flashing pd15img will make you lose root whereas just pushing the new recovery will not!
Don't mean to be trollin, just some advice haha

If it fails can I still use my phone I'm on? I know my cache won't mount
Edit: fixed it by formatting cache and rebooting recovery. U should add that up there for cache not mounting.

EDIT: OP updated, thanks urmothersluvr!
OP updated with instructions on how to return to stock using the PD15IMG.zip file.... if you have any suggestions, PM me
I'm trying to load the pd15img.zip. I have a completely stock phone and for some reason it got stuck on the bootup screen so I'm trying to flash it to fix it.
However after I enter the bootloader and it finds the file, loads it and then checks it, it just returns to the bootloader screen. It never asks me to flash it.
Does anyone have a solution??
Exact same issue as mupepe. Does this mean the phone isn't saveable?

is your phone connected to the computer? just wondering.
also, might be a bad download, try downloading again.....
It is not connected to the PC when flashing. I'll try redownloading the IMG. I get a "Wrong or bad image" thing in Hboot. Formatted SD card to fat 32 and tried a different card. This is a weird issue. I warrantied out the phone but TMO sent me a replacement with the washed out screen so I'd love to fix this.
Mine isn't connected to the computer. I get no sort of error. I'll redownload the image in a bit and report back. Thanks!
thanks a lot
Anyone have luck fixing the No Image or Wrong Image problem or the IMG file just checking loading then doing nothing?

I downloaded it again and it still doesn't work
****. well 2.3.4 send me back to the bootloader screen and 2.2.1 gives me the main version is older error. All the solutions I've found to that error say to install 2.3.4 which doesn't work! ahhhhhh!
Problems
I bought a MyTouch 4G from Craigslist today (for $ 80, it has the superior screen, is cosmetically a 9.5/10 and it came with all accessories) and it is stuck at the MyTouch 4G screen. One of the local phone places told the seller that the phone needed to be flashed which I tried to do. I downloaded the file in this thread for 2.3.4, put it on the freshly FAT32 formatted MicroSD card, I booted into the bootloader, it found the PD15IMG.zip file, it loaded and checked it and went into the screen with the two green arrows and the one green arrow pointing downwards. Then every time in the middle of it, the phone turns itself off (battery is fully charged). It never asked if I wanted to update either. What could be the problem?

...lol i'm starting to think the link to the 2.3.4 PD15IMG.zip is wrong..
sorry guys if it is...
hmm have you tried to use the 2.2.1 instead?
I bought two MyTouch 4G's from the same seller (a couple) and his phone works fine, only hers is corky LOL. Both HBOOT screens are identical too, I checked his software version and it is the latest one (2.32.531.1), so I assume that hers is the same, it also shows the same date, July 15 2011 and the same radio 26.13.04.19_M in HBOOT. Maybe there is no PD15IMG.zip file for this latest updated ROM yet? After trying both different PD15IMG.zip files (2.3.4 and 2.2.1), I've been getting the "main version is older" errors on both. No Fail-PU though, so that makes me hopeful I'm thinking that she updated to the latest version and somehow it got corrupted, that is why the phone is stuck at the MyTouch 4G loading screen and won't go any further.
Update: I'm up and running again !! I found a PD15IMG.zip file on the t-mobile support website that worked specifically for the latest 2.32.531.1 update !! Here is the download link (I've uploaded it to megaupload): http://www.megaupload.com/?d=X1EAIPBJ

[Help] Phone Won't Leave Recovery

Hey guys. First I'd like to aplogize for posting so many help threads but I'm trying my best to figure it out on my own.
I was using one-click to stock when my mother dropped something and needed my help urgently, so I told my brother to start it up for me as my phone was already plugged in and connected. I am running the T959W rather than the T959V and my brother clicked on the option to flash bootloaders. The download was completed normally I think. However, my phone will not leave the recovery mode.
Could you guys please help? Thanks.
When flash bootloaders was hit on T959V back to stock, my brother said it said "MODEM UPLOAD FAILED ENDING SESSION". My guess is that it cleared my boot loader and then since it failed while trying to upload the modem, it ended the session without readding a boot loader? It continously says "MODEL UPLOAD FAILED" Whenever I attempt to use the T959V back to stock.
Edit:
I have tired the back to stock for T959W from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1956025
However, I get these error messages.
Kernel is missing because I removed it out of the package hoping maybe it'd solve the problem since it was also failing, but so is recovery...

Yes it has failed every attempt (I''ve tried about 10 times).
At this point you should really start fresh maybe even a different computer and see if you get anywhere. Typically if it's not working it's a driver issue and you gotta get rid of all the drivers related to the phone and reboot, then re-install them using zadig...and maybe reboot again.

Yes I realize that however, I checked the T959W thread and they said there were no bootloaders. And that is likely the thing that is messed up right now. Thanks for your help!
I think there's no way to flash bootloaders on W's and the package that's specifically for the W was designed just for this purpose, to bring back a phone that's messed up from attempting to flash V bootloaders. Have you tried downloading it again? If that's the only one you have trouble with maybe it's just a bad download.

Oh also you can go in and uncheck flash modem on the one-click and the rest of it should work just fine. I think.

This might help me just get the boot loaders fixed!
here is the deal unless you worked some weird voodoo magic you never flashed the V's bootloaders. There is a partition in there that will not allow it to work properly.
Rereading getochkn's instructions you should not be flashing the bootloaders as he DID NOT include them. Follow his directions to the letter. Dont use the one clicks for the V. I remember chatting with him in IRC while he was trying to figure this out and he could NOT flash a hoc for the V with bootloaders successfully I dont even think it worked without bootloaders.

Flash stock recovery. Do a data wipe. It is safe to restore nandroid after. Doesn't make much sense, but it works.
If anyone has any info on a fix forhis, I can really use the help! I'm at a loss on this and pulling my hair out! My 32g Nexus 5 is reading as a 16g and I can NOT get it back to 32g!? I so far have completely un-rooted and returned to stock at least twice now and re-rooted as well. I've tried every which way of returning to stock and re-rooting possible. From manually flashing the stock image to using toolkits, to using Cyanogen's install app, and still after every return to stock, my storage still reads as a 16g !!!??? There has to be something I'm missing, idk? I've even tried going into stock recovery after flashing the stock firmware, n wiped cache n did a factory reset, still 16g! One area of recovery that I'm not too familiar with is mount/unmount. Idk if / anything I can do under mount that can help fix this? Being I'm not familiar with what anything does exactly. The other thing I have not tried is to wipe internal storage or format SD card, but if I wipe the SD card I'll have no Roms at all on the phone or stock images to reboot to, so how would I go about formatting the SD without bricking the phone, and would that even help? This is beyond frustrating and there's not too much I have found in searching for a solution. Any answers I have found as a fix, I have tried. Which was to manually flash the stock image. I did this, several times and still no luck. Please help! Anyone!!

OK I'm willing to give anything a shot at this point. Where can I find those two files? And when I do flash them, do I need to flash the stock image again ? In other words, I should probably be complete stock un-rooted right? So basically the steps I wanna take after downloading those two files is to just unroot again by flashing the stock image thru fastboot again, but this time, also flash those two files, is that correct? Sorry for all the questions, I just wanna be sure I know what steps I'm taking this time and what order they should be done in.

You're kind of right, I'm not super familiar with it. I have flashed the factory image to my nexus 5 already though, and just maybe two other phones ever. One being a note 3 which was in oden obviously, but this time I'm actually using an iMac. I downloaded the stock factory image, and the ADT bundle and I had what I think was everything that was needed? I have adb, fastboot, bootloader.IMG, radio.IMG , the stock image/firmware of course, and the flash-all.sh, and flash-base.sh. That all sound about right? Not sure if you're familiar with the iMac methods or not? They're really similar to windows though. But yes, I've unrooted twice back to stock by flashing the factory stock image using fastboot commands. The one time it was a flash-all.sh command like above, but the other article/video I followed had me enter all the commands one by one, but like you said, I'm not to familiar with all this. Even though I've done it a hand full of times with success, and I've tried reading up on it as much as I was able to, but I'm obviously missing something somewhere. Was I missing the two files u mentioned? Or did I do something wrong, idk? Everything succeeds and passes fine, but after flashing the factory image twice now ( I rooted originally, then flashed to stock, then rooted again when the storage didn't fix after going to stock recovery and wiping cache and doing a factory reset as well ), and still I'm showing 16g? Sorry for the long response's man. I really appreciate everyone and anyone who can help me and takes the time. Thank u.

You asked me where you could find those files (userdata and cache img) and since you didn't know about this, I assumed you didn't know how to flash these files as well. If you've flashed factory images manually before, you obviously must have come across these files. They are included the factory zip itself and can be extracted with a tool like winrar.
No, I haven't used fastboot on mac but the steps are are same. Flash these img files again via fastboot: system, boot, userdata, cache and recovery. After flashing these, head over to stock recovery and perform a factory reset. It should fix it.
I know you might have performed these steps earlier but somewhere in the middle you might have gone wrong so there's no harm in trying it again. Even after doing the above steps, if it still reads it as 16gb, try using the LG Flash tool.

I have re-flashed the factory image again though using adb fastboot on Mac, but once again, after flashing the factory image and returning to stock, I went into stock recovery, wiped cache, did factory reset, and still it reads wrong!! Wtf!!!???? I can NOT fix this!!! It's literally driving me nuts! LG flash tool seems to be my only hope cause obviously I can flash the factory image till I'm blue in the face on my iMac and it still does nothing but give me an incorrect reading on my storage, and when I google search "can LG flash tool be used on a Mac" , I get nothing saying whether it can or not!? Please anyone with any advice that may help me, I'm all ears. I just wanna be able to use my phone already and put my apps n customization back on my phone. Just want my 32gigs back already ?

That's what I figured but thanks for confirming. I guess I'm gonna have to see if I can get a friend to bring their PC by and try on that because for whatever reason its just not going back to 32gb flashing the factory image on my iMac.

So I was able to get my hands on a windows PC and I flashed the factory image thru adb/fastboot, and I'm still showing as a 16g!? I can't believe I can't get this phone back to a 32g! I have no clue what I did to this phone to get it stuck at 16g even after several factory resets and image flashes!? I'm going g to try LG Flash tool now that I have a windows PC. It seems to be my last hope really.

Have you tried to flash the cache.img in fastboot? Worth a try, then factory reset in the stock recovery

Yeah I actually flashed the cache.img just this last flash. I'm going try again in fastboot then to lg flash tool I guess. Idk why its not working but its becoming super frustrating that's for sure. Thank you though, I appreciate any and all advice or suggestions.

I read somewhere that using twrp recovery, go to wipe/format data, and that would fix my issue and show 32g again instead of 16g. Anyone know if this is true? Or worth a shot? If I format data won't that also wipe away everything except my twrp recovery? Then I'd have no OS installed correct?
