It seems every webpage i load with chrome is zoomed in. I have use my fingers to zoom out like on this site the right side that shows who posted is off screen and i have to move the browser window over to see it or use my fimgers to zoom out to make it fit on screen. Any way to prevent a page from loading zoomed in ?

I tried searching on the topic but couldn't find what I was looking for. For some reason when I am in PIE, SMS, or any application that doesn't fit in the window and I need to scroll, the bar on the far right works fine, but if I use my finger to scroll in the screen it is inverted. If I move it up it goes down, if I go down it goes up. I looked through the TouchFlo options, Cube options, and all the settings and couldn't find anything addressing this. I am using Dutty's WM6.1 Beta.
finger moving up = the page moving up ( to read further down the page ) = scrollbar moving down !!!
what am I missing here ???
isn't that how it work ???
Thats the way touchflo works... Flicker up and it will go down and flicker down and it will go up.
Am I the only one who feels that this is pointless? I don't understand the advantage to the page going down if you flick your finger up and going up if you flick your finger down.
The effect of touchflo is intended to be as if you are "dragging" the page across. Or are you saying that it scrolls down when you flick up and vice versa?
think of it as moving in the direction that you flick it not the direction the scrollbar would take you.
Opera is sometimes not displaying the total image of the page, particularlly when zooming into corners of pages (where logins are at times). So literally some pages become unacessible.
Has anyone had this problem... found a fix for it?
I'm on Android 2.1 on a Galaxy S. Is there away to have the default browser zoom to text boxes correctly?
I'm basically comparing how it works to the iPhone, and when I double tap on a block of text I want to read it zooms in past the width of the text box and I end up having to scroll left and right or having to pinch to zoom out a bit.
Using auto-fit sucks because it reflows the text in a very ugly way, especially if there is an image on top of the article.
Practical example: going to Gizmodo, Engadget or NYTimes and double tapping on an article in the main page. On the iphone it frames it exactly right, you can see the image and the text just fine. On my Galaxy it zooms past the text and image. I tried changing the font size but it still does it.
Is there a browser on the market that does a better job at this? I've tried Skyfire, Opera and Dolphing and they all do the same.
Why is it so hard for the browser to detect the width of the block of text I'm trying to read and zoom just to that point? It's a pain having to pinch every time I want to read something.
I have tried several PDF readers including Aldiko. The problem is that when I am reading a page, I need a feature which makes the text fit to my phone window. Because by default there is a lot of extra space around the text. If I zoom , scrolling become difficult as scrolling down results in scrolling the page to left/right also. Any suggested reader for my purpose?
So basically, a reader which zooms the page to custom amount but the text should not move left and right while scrolling up/down
Adobe reader

Okay, so basically i was looking for 'text reflow' option ! Hidden gem!
In Chrome for quite some time now, (a few months?), the web page no longer fits horizontally, creating the need for the appearance of the horizontal scroll bar? Previously, not only did the entire page fit, but there was also a supplemental info box with headlines and ads on the right most side of the page. This box is no longer present, yet still, the page expands horizontally much further than it ought. Is someone aware of this?
I just realized that if I switch to the 2013 beta version of this site or even the 2015, everything fits nicely on the page. Hope that helps someone out there...
