Ha! Tried to post a screenshot.
tappin' that....

No, not me. But it may be a hardware issue. My older Droid Charge which was 11.04 on FP1 had a better time with mobile data than this newer Charge which is 11.07 and FP5. Not sure what to do about it yet.

I would say that FP5 + Tweaked 3.0BnBbeta is by far the smoothest experience I've yet had on the Charge. It may stay just like this until I figure out a new phone sometime (probably Jan). I'm currently 'fighting' my daughter over her desire to 'upgrade' from her Charge to an iPhone 4s/5...

Smoother. Less lag. Still squeals sometimes. In summary seems better.

If so, 'tis treason!

let me try this for a 3rd time:

I am now running FP5 radios and stock FP5 kernel. I am having trouble connecting at 3G. I often run 3G all day to save power but my 3G is almost nonexistent now.

ever since FP1, I have noticed ZERO difference in battery performance when comparing 3G to 4G. I believe that was the intention of the kernel upgrades.

I too notice zero difference and that's because 4G is pretty much nonexistent on this phone. Yippie. :victory:

If I'm using my phone heavily, I'll definitely drain on 4g. I have great coverage where I live and work. 3g is definitely much more conservative on the battery.

Stock? Omg no
das BAMF sense 3.0 rocking the bolt
When I first bought The Thunderbolt I ran Bamf, then co-founded Team GTP and started work on our Eaton Roms. Couldn't be happier with the rom's battery and speed performance.
My first Android was an INC and after 4 months would have left the platform entirely if rooting were not an option.

I've gone from rooted to stock uprooted. Honestly I am happy being stock, i can easily get a day and a half from my battery. Custom roms are cool and all but I kinda enjoy stock more. I'm probably one of the only ones. Lol.

So What's the best thing from the update?

Anyone see any new functions from the new update, besides the new 3G Icon??
No reboots here. I still loose 3g often but it regains it back much quicker. Also easier to toggle LTE on and off.

I'd just like to say that I miss my old boot screen. And the new 3G icon looks like someone stepped on it. Other than that and the my Verizon app I haven't even noticed the update. My reboots stopped a few days ago, I had 4 days 9 hours and 2 minutes of uptime when I installed the update.

Please stop calling it mr2.5, we have a real MR2 out soo any radio before that is MR nothing it's just a leaked radio you will confuse people by saying mr2.5, when the actual MR2 OTA is out.

BTW... the EP4P rom is smooth as butta... its pretty good on battery, radios are solid, and NO LAG
Also, this is the final release given to verizon a few days ago.... this is the real deal

Did you by chance flash some tweaks on top of zeus?
is this 5 days battery life like even with data and wifi on and if so is it with the ics theme added or no and if yes what are you guys doing and what battery are you using to achiueve this insane battery
In my experience the only way to get that kind of battery life is to basically not use it much. Which defeats the purpose of carrying it around. I use the internet quite heavily, text occasionally, gps, bluetooth and wifi typically stay off and with that usage I might be able to squeeze out a day and a half. Just my experience.

I agree Zeus has excellent battery life, 2-3 days all the time. I will say that I had to reflash Zeus once because I couldn't seem to get more than 6 hours out of the battery, I just chalked it up to a bad flash.

Great speeds. I've gotten up to 17 Mbps down. I notice you are getting really high pings like I sometimes have. Anyone know why they are so high? I never got anything close to those pings on Verizon or AT&T.

Think we need to wait for the kernel sources to be released, I get really ****ty speeds on CM9, and I believe it's because the kernel is only optimised for the stock ROM.
