Are you using a different launcher like Go Launcher Ex? Mine was pretty laggy. Only when I deleted that certain app and did a cold boot is when my speed returned to me.

im just using stock.im using nova on my phone and may try it.... anyone know when 4.1 is supposed to be on this thing?
bumping this up
still trying to figure out why its not performing like i feel it should. i get lag with the keystrokes when using the docked keyboard and when swiping from home screen.
i did put nova on it and it seems to be a better, more fluid launcher than the stock launcher. any other tips or tricks you could suggest?

I also think that it is not allowed to post this here. It is not for free for everyone. If its free in samsung appstore its only free for Samsung Tab users.
As it where allready said Samsung made an agreement with the developers to be able to offer this for free to THEM users.
For people with Lag issues it appears that the latest patch will help a lot. I've gone into most of my apps, done updates while using the tablet, and worked in my browser. Before this update I always got lag and frequently the wait/close app dialog.
After this patch today I'm not seeing these problems. Things still aren't silky smooth but there aren't any big hiccups. I'd consider this version to make the tablet usable where before it was an exercise in frustration.
So go to settings, about tablet, system firmware update, then check. Definitely a lot of improvements.
Where are you located? I checked and it says no update. I'm in the US.

I'm in the US and I just received the new firmware after checking for an update. OTAs are usually pushed out in batches so it's possible not everyone with a US tablet can get the update yet.

Noticed a camera and touch screen update. Anyone test clicking sound in cam? Wonder if it's gone.
I got home not long ago (10-11pm central time). Played around with the tablet. No update dialog yet. Seemed kinda slow because tablet's been on for a day or so, and I rebooted it. After it booted up, I was prompted for a firmware upgrade. Perhaps try rebooting? And I'm located in US (Texas) if that matters.
I doubt location (within US) matters but if it does I'm in Dallas and i have the update.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using Tapatalk 2
the latest firmware version on asus website at this time is V9.4.5.22
@OP: what firmware version do you have after the update?
Just heard about the new patch, checked the System Firmware Update in the Setting menu and the download started right away. The only problem, it won't install when your battery is below 15%! I'm at 8% and climbing. They send these out in batches, so if you don't have it now you should be getting it soon. If you're in Austin, TX you should be able to get the update.

So just pulled the update...fairly impressed obviously the kernel has been turned down a bit ...stock now @ 1700 vs 1900...touch screen seems better calibrated ...apps seem to open faster however a good cache/dalvik wipe always has that effect...was able to keep root...haven't unlocked yet as there is no ROMS/kernels yet so why bother ....camera does not seem any better though.

I don't think scores are the end all. User experience is much more important. I don't know which test is best, but quadrant is easy to use and gives a graph that i can compare over time. Quadrant is just away to keep score.
I like to see others scores. I would prefer people post quadrant scores and graph if possible.

Unfortunately the Transformer Infinity doesn't compare to my GS3 overall. The Infinity has a monster CPU and slightly better GPU overall (based on many tests which it wins some and loses some), but the 2D performance is severely lacking as is the I/O. Still, it's not a bad thing at all. Works quite well for what I wanted.

What's plex? Lol. And improved how? There's really nothing you can do with it. It's like that default by Android.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using Tapatalk 2
If this is plex then they need to incorporate a media button listener. Cause my app functions the same as media controls on a keyboard, bluetooth headset, and other devices. Plus it looks to me like the Plex player is playing music on the Host device and streaming it to your phone.. different circumstance as normal players.

Think of a widget, a permanent overlay when users starts playing music, gestures to launch / skip / quit / pause music etc.
