For people with Lag issues it appears that the latest patch will help a lot. I've gone into most of my apps, done updates while using the tablet, and worked in my browser. Before this update I always got lag and frequently the wait/close app dialog.
After this patch today I'm not seeing these problems. Things still aren't silky smooth but there aren't any big hiccups. I'd consider this version to make the tablet usable where before it was an exercise in frustration.
So go to settings, about tablet, system firmware update, then check. Definitely a lot of improvements.
Where are you located? I checked and it says no update. I'm in the US.

I'm in the US and I just received the new firmware after checking for an update. OTAs are usually pushed out in batches so it's possible not everyone with a US tablet can get the update yet.

Noticed a camera and touch screen update. Anyone test clicking sound in cam? Wonder if it's gone.
I got home not long ago (10-11pm central time). Played around with the tablet. No update dialog yet. Seemed kinda slow because tablet's been on for a day or so, and I rebooted it. After it booted up, I was prompted for a firmware upgrade. Perhaps try rebooting? And I'm located in US (Texas) if that matters.
I doubt location (within US) matters but if it does I'm in Dallas and i have the update.

the latest firmware version on asus website at this time is V9.4.5.22
@OP: what firmware version do you have after the update?
Just heard about the new patch, checked the System Firmware Update in the Setting menu and the download started right away. The only problem, it won't install when your battery is below 15%! I'm at 8% and climbing. They send these out in batches, so if you don't have it now you should be getting it soon. If you're in Austin, TX you should be able to get the update.

I am in the US as well, no updates here.
So just pulled the update...fairly impressed obviously the kernel has been turned down a bit ...stock now @ 1700 vs 1900...touch screen seems better calibrated ...apps seem to open faster however a good cache/dalvik wipe always has that effect...was able to keep root...haven't unlocked yet as there is no ROMS/kernels yet so why bother ....camera does not seem any better though.

In the benchmark result post, people are getting way way way better scores than me. People are getting 13 000, 14 000, while you can see in this screenshot, i'm not even hitting 5K. This is with performance mode, running .26
I really dont get it how come my score are so low. I am rooted and have removed a bunch of bloatware that did make my tablet seem smoother. In any case, i did try this test before even rooting and still around 4500. I tried changing settings in SetCPU, even when i use performance governor and cfq, still get around 5100. Any ideas?
My MicroSD is a Sandisk Class 10.

i dont want to unlock as i have a 2 year warranty on this tablet. And even if you might be right about benchmarks, this is not a 5% or even 10% difference, its 60 to 70%. That is a major difference that has something behind it and i want to try and find out what that is.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using Tapatalk 2
Do you have force GPU rendering on in the Dev option, because it is known to drastically drop your scores.
I'm getting around 14150 using Zues' Rom v3.0.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using XDA Premium HD app
in addition to ensuring that you have forced 2d rendering disabled, you might want to check your minfree settings. right after flashing zeus' rom earlier i ran a test and also got around 5k. it didn't jump up to 13k until i adjusted minfree. you can find some suggested settings in d14b0ll0s' tweaks thread. you don't need to be unlocked but you do need root.
Mh... i had similiar issues too. First after i installed .26 i got also 13k. Then after some time i only got 5k-7k.
Yesterday i read an article on anandtech.com with the title the-16gb-nexus-7-storage-performance. Sorry can't post url's.
One of the comments remembered me about one thing. I also had a transformer prime. I used it to store my pictures. The more less diskspace i had, the slower the transformer become.
i had some movies, pictures and tv episodes on infinitys internal memory. After deleting them i got again 10-12k.
Actually, we should become very angry on asus putting such a crap into a such expensive device. Even the nexus 7 got apparently a better controller then our infinity... grrrrrr
Well I only got 3600 on the quadrant mark with the .26 update installed, so I was a it puzzled there. When I tried without force GPU rendering it couldn't even hit 3000!
Ran this one just once this morning. I'm stock, rooted, locked. Used setcpu to overclocking both max/min to 1700MHz and set to performance.
Ran this one with ATP Tweak.

Some of you have suggested a factory reset. For others it also solved some smoothness and lag issues. Well I decided to do it too and I'm back to having normal antutu scores. The lowest score I have is 13286 and the highest is 14092. So a factory reset did fix the issues. I I'm happy now

Did anyone else get an OTA dock firmware update today? After un-docking (which I don't do that often, to be honest) and using my tablet for a while, I re-docked it and noticed the firmware update icon in the status bar. Excitedly, hoping it was Jelly Bean, I checked it out and found that it was just a dock update. What's strange is that after applying the update, the dock firmware level is still reported as "TF201-DOCK-0207", which is what I believe it was before the update...
I've had my infinity since it was first released.... Very strange....
Anyone else?
EDIT: By the way, I thought that OTA updates wouldn't work if you were Unlocked? Or is that only for the actual Android OTAs for the tablet? I'm unlocked, rooted and running a custom ROM (Zeus 3.0) and had no issues with the dock OTA....

Yes, I got one too a day or two ago - - I posted in the Q&A forum to see if anyone else got one -- one poster suggested I was probably just getting one i missed --- I too have had my tablet and docking stn for about a month .......I thinnk I got an update when I first got the keyboard but was so excited I wasn't paying that close attention !! (I am like a kid at christmas with new toys !!! lol !! )
Thanks for the reply... I *know* that I was on the latest dock firmware before the update, but like I said, the version didn't change after the upgrade - very strange.
Anyway, can anyone comment on the fact that I was able to receive an OTA update even though I was unlocked and running a custom ROM?? I thought that was impossible?

I received my firmware for my dock yesterday. I assume because it is the dock and not the tablet why your able to receive the update even though your tablet is unlocked. They never stated that we wouldn't get keyboard updates either. Just the tablet.

I got a dock update the very first day I plugged my new Infinity into the dock (had been using it with the Prime for weeks). Figured it may have been a compatibility update.

I just unlocked and rooted mine today. Been doing themes for phones for many years. So I am looking for answers also, but most of the buttons and system icons will be in the framework-res.apk... Just a guess from my phones, will keep updated as I make a theme for the TF700T myself. You can set me in the right direction with a script to put in my zip to flash apps and system apk's. Plus installing apps to data, like esexplorer. Best way to contact me would be a pm since I will make few trips to this thread. Plan on porting my theme for the EVO LTE to the 700. Here is a link for what I have done for the EVO LTE.

Well I am just getting started with the 700 and my progress will be slow. Because the work the LTE keeps me pretty busy. Do u flash your custom apks or push them to the tablet? If flash, can I get the script from you used in the zip. Today I decompiled the systemui and found some battery icons in there. It appears that Asus used the same files as for the phone. There are images in there that would not be used on a tablet. For the lock screen text, I never changed it so I don't know to find except it might be in the framework-res.apk in the values folder colors.xml.
