This is test version of the google apps from JLB ported to ICS
Steel need testing!
Still some Force Closes here and there!
So I need testers to test and replay!
Flash the zip in recovery. Android ICS ONLY! (CM9/AOKP based Roms)

Tested on aokp ics.
But the Setup Wizard doesn't work.
It gives me relapsing FC on first boot after wiping data!
Pushing the other apps one by one via adb they all looks to work quite good!
Google now is working and GoogleTTS + google voice stub (offiline voice search)
Simply download the zip. open it, and replace SetupWizard.apk with the one from ICS GAAPS.
zip it back and push to your SDCARD
Flash it via recovery and give it a try!

OFFLINE VOICE SEARCH DOES NOT WORK AT ALL!

I am wanting to use the brower.apk from jellybean on ICS. Would you be able to port that apk or help me to port it. I cant find any info on how to port the app to work on ICS. I have decompiled the file and changed the api version to 15 but it is still not working. I looked at the logcat and it has some error about surface texture and then it abandons the process. Thanks.

2D gpu hw acceleration.
That's what you need to be able to make it work.
Or simply disable that option in the AndroidManifest file!

Installation Instructions:
Clean install or coming from another ROM:
Download the zip
Addons (if you don't have it already) from here. Make sure you download addons for android 4.1.2 NOT 4.2!
Full wipe, and manual format /system
Flash the zip AND the addons you want, reboot
Update:
Download the zip (Rom also has OTA Updates)
Wipe cache and dalvik-cache
Flash the zip, reboot
No need to flash the addons again

Google Now will not work (It's still JB on P500... don't expect miracles). I'm using the Slim Gapps addon and everything works from there.

Check out the Google Code Page. Basically the same bugs you would expect in a JB rom on P500...

Downloading and testing...
- A biiiiiig camera bug (color banding)
- OI file manager forces close
- Sometimes after unlocking screen is devided in 2 similar parts(fixed after locking and unlocking again)

Indeed there is color banding on camera preview but it is not present in the photos.
OI File Manager works on my end...

normal camera has bugs and video recording doesn't work but iirc that's a cm10 bug, panorama and normal camera works fine using camera ICS+
the keyboard is a little laggy, other than that I haven't find any other bug, oi file manager works fine here, also, the brightness slide on status bar works fine here.

Popdog you are the man!!! I been looking forward to someone grabbing this and porting it to our devices!! So I will hunt down the ICS sources if possible, I think our device has hit its limits, unless you can pull some good old popdog magic. Hi I have the gapps update for 4.2.2 (20130812). But, Every time I reboot by phone it says I need to update it again to this version, as if the update didnt stick.
Is this a known problem?
Is it suppose to do that?
Is there a fix for this?
If so, please do tell or point me in the right direction.

I have the HTC Sensation running Cyanogenmod 10.1.2. The photos of the screen are attached....

Okay.
I will take the update, then disable updates thru Goo.im, reboot my phone and see if all of the necessary updates stayed on the phone.
Hopefully it does and the goo.im updated is just a glitch...

Ok wait a min... I'm new to this, I just updated my rom 2 days ago but it dawned on me that, that file its a zip file (duh) I need to unzip it, not just download it. I clicked on the finished download and I've come to this notification (pic attached).
I searched online and didnt find help on this...
I don't want to lose anything I have on my phone so, what will be the best option to choose?
Just hit flash and don't check off any options?

You should reboot into recovery [CWM] and flash zip from sdcard.
That'll do the trick.:laugh:

i must have downloaded about 5 diff versions of the 0812-signed gapps .zip, and whenever i try to flash any of them (cm 10.2, using safestrap on a droid 4), the flash screen either flashes once really quickly (no apparent flash), or i get a red error "unable to open .zip file".
any suggestions?

Hi., I have china samsung s4 clone MTK6572 .., GT-I9500.., android version 4.2.2..missing google play store. So if I download Google play apk on sd card and install., I cant see google play in system/app. My phone is rooted and having CWM recovery. Also it fails to back up through recovery...the error is failed to mount sd card. So if I flash this zip through CWM recovery.., will work?

Thanks to Temasek and webdroidmt for info, native USB OTG works again.
Thanks to NetFluke, who managed to implement Timur Merhvarz patches, we have DAC hotplug support with volume adjustment. NetFluke also made kernel with OTG charging.
New 4.4.2 works really really smooth, ART and built in Superuser work.
How to install:
1. Reboot into recovery (I use TWRP 2.6.3.0)
2. Select advance wipe: dalvik cache, system, cache and data. Basically everything except internal storage. Just in case
3. Flash rom and gapps
4. Wipe dalvik cache and cache
5. Reboot
How to enable ART:
1. Select settings
2. Tap 7 times build number to enable developers options
3. In developer options tap on runtime and select ART
4. Reboot and wait
I recommend to enable ART before install any new applications. Works for me since rom is built.

Recently I use minimal gapps (playstore, syncing apks and libs, AOSP calendar sync) from here. I don't really need face unlock, Google now, search, etc. But you should be fine with full gapps. You can find two flashable gapps which I use here.

I have Linux laptop dedicated for development and plan is to make clean build every few days or when CM team submit noticeable changes, test on my device, upload and post a link.

For now, no difference. Just another CM11 unofficial build. You may try this one, from someone else or build your own.
First I built for my self then realize that some users have problems with other builds. To avoid off topic or giving support for something I didn't test, I made decision to open new topic and share my builds here.
New build is made over night but didn't have time to flash and test. Will do after work.

Yeah, waiting for new build cause the one in the op is 4 days old. Happy to see any kind of unofficial build available for nexus 7 cause there doesn't seems to be an official one on the way anywhere.

Fresh new build, CM repo synced today. Tested on my device for about one hour (super user, art...), no visible changes. Link is in the fist post.
I cleared all cache and out directory for building tomorrow.

New build is up and running on my devices. Repo synced in the middle of night after great rock concert, building finished in the morning (my local time).
Work everything I tested, including ART, super user, RayMan and search is not FC any more or anything else.
Edit: Newsstand works fine.

This md5 is different from the one of the file I downloaded. Redownloading the file and will try to re install.

I redownloaded and this time the md5 matches the one u posted. Really excited to flash this one, finally a fc free/ stable pure cm11 ROM. Thanks. Btw, u might wanna add the pa gapps link, its on their site, its 245 mb and has all apps and works great.

Thank you all for info. I also downloaded and md5 is fine. Anyway, just in case I will continue upload to dropbox.
Gapps, linked in first post, work with ART and I prefer smaller version. I can link also 245MB version but could you confirm that works with ART?

You must refresh gallery by yourself or restart media scan yourself.

Extract attached archive and Replace this build.prop in /system using root explorer or es file explorer or others and change the permission to rw-r--r-- and reboot

One major problem is that...application not running long time in the backgroud...example is poweramp..I am listening music but it died after 10-15 minutes without reason..
Flashing 10.2 Agni kernel (lewa test kernel) makes incall other party voice muted...I am not able to hear other party though he is able to hear me clearly....

Please advice with the solution..

it is 4.2.2 so cm or aosp based means you'll get the crappy aosp camera but otherwise it is really nice.

WiFi based location not working
I'm using the latest version of miui on my n7100 and WiFi based location detection is not working. Is there something wrong with my device or is this a known issue with miui? If it's a known issue, is someone working on a fix for this?
