(Almost)hardbricked samsung dart - Android General

I'm not normally the guy who asks for help, and the dart doesn't have a section of its own, so I'm placing this here.
A few days back I was messing with my dart, I wrote a script to mount and remount everything in /dev/block, and after a reboot my phone now flashes the samsung logo for 1 second and dies, repeating this. If I attempt to put it in to recovery, it goes in to download mode. Plugging it in to a charger results in another backlight loop, without a samsung logo. I've tried flashing it in download mode to the stock rom, but this continues. The phone DOES have a flash counter, and I've heard that a usb jig doesn't reset it, though flashing stock doesn't effect the counter.
A similar problem: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/archive/t-1444148.html
Know that the solution to that other problem requires a octopusbox, though it does have a link to a full flash of it.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S i9000 Logo/loading loop? :( help appreciated.

I flashed Bionix-v on my phone the other day, it is a vibrant rom, and I flashed it on my i9000M without knowing this. I liked bionix, but I wanted my old configuration instead, so I restored from my back up with Nandroid. It would work fine until I plug it into either a computer or an outlet, it would immediately power off and have a battery that appears for a split second, then a loading circle, preventing me from connecting to the computer to transfer any type of file. It would continue this cycle until I powered my phone back on again which would say "Vibrant" (I'm using the GT-i9000) then my usual Galaxy S logo. It resumed working.
I decided that I needed a NORMAL charging process so I followed the guides and used Odin to flash my phone back to stock firmware. Odin told me everything succeeded and a giant "PASS" was lit up in green at the top of the window. However my phone no longer had a battery flashing, it was instead just a loading circle that would flash without stop. I unplugged my phone, and was greeted by a "Galaxy S" logo that would flash instead. I have also tried Heimdall by following TubeShaped's : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11257871&postcount=154
And tried to flash a custom rom directly from Odin: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=940671
None of these methods have worked. If any of you have any idea of whats going on, I'd appreciate the help. My hunch is that by loading a custom Vibrant rom onto a GT-i9000, something went amiss, but have no idea what it could be.

My Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus (GT-6200) suddenly died, help please!

The unit has been used for about 2 months and remains quite new. It was quite stable before. Yesterday night, about half an hour after plugged in for charging and with WiFi Hotspot turned on for sharing 3G data to another netbook, the unit suddenly rebooted itself. It then stopped at the start-up screen and remained there for several minutes. I kept holding the power button for a few seconds to turn it off but it then automatically reboot itself afterwards, and stopped at the start-up screen again. It means that even complete turning off is not possible.
Trying to enter into recovery mode showed the following few lines:
# MANUAL MODE #
-- Updating application...
Copying Common Apks.
Click to collapse
and then it automatically rebooted again. It means that it can't enter into recovery mode normally.
It was possible to enter into download mode. And it was the first time this machine went into download mode. I run Odin Downloader and flashed the official stock ROM. After showing "Pass", the device rebooted itself. Unfortunately, it still stopped at the start-up screen, just showing "Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus". It is really troubesome. I have experience playing several Android devices before and it is the first time I face such troublesome problem.
The device is an official product. The biggest problem is that the original purchase invoice was lost and most likely that I couldn't get official support, repair service or replacement.
May I ask if anyone would kindly provide me some help or advice. Thanks!
Instead of going into download mode go into recovery mode and see if there are any errors. Your scenario is sounding very similar to the one I had in the past.
I just ran into a nasty snag at boot logo as well. nandroid, stock kernel and factory reset were no help. Try Odin back to Stock, it still may not get past boot logo, hold vol up and power to get into recovery and factory reset. Hope it works for you.
Unfortunately I was unable to get into recovery mode even after odin flashing stock ROM.
It rebooted itself a few seconds after displaying some lines of text. I can't see the normal recovery menu.

Boot Problems

My sister said she spilled a little water on the screen of her phone the other day and it started boot looping.
Ive been trying to reflash it, but there are some issues...
If the phone is plugged in, it will cycle the charging battery on and off... unable to get into download or recovery.
If its not, it used to show the galaxy boot screen and turn on and off... now it just stays frozen on that screen. In either instance i was unable to get into recovery or download mode.
I got into recovery a couple of times when it actually booted the ROM, but everytime i would use the power button to try to make a selection the phone would just reboot and go into a cycle again.
I also got it into download mode once through the ROM but it cant get the ROM to boot anymore...
I might be able to get it into recovery but when i do it just reboots when i select anything.
and help would be awesome
thanks.
OH, when i actually got the ROM to boot it would throw an array of system errors and force closes. I also think the water had nothing to do with it and something she did after the water is what started causing the problems
I got recovery and i flashed a new kernal and ROM and erased everything and its still freezing at first Galaxy boot screen.
probably because the phone is water damaged?
See if the guide in the second link of my signature will help.
Thanks ill give it a shot.
But a major problem is that i am unable to get it to boot into download mode.
So i got CWM to boot, and i reflashed the kernal and ROM, with no luck.
CWM read catch error. Unable to mount... format... ect...
From what ive been reading the internal catch is fried....
Anyone have a motherboard they want to ship me? LOL
Thanks lumin30, I finally found a way to get the phone into download mode. (take the battery out, Put it back in, hold buttons, plug USB in, press power button) after a few reboots it would finally go.
I followed the link and got it back to stock and it booted. Now letting it sit to settle in and hopefully it will be functional again.
This thread can be deleted! :good:

Can't Root Galaxy S5 Stuck At Blue Bar

TLDR;
Trying to install custom recovery with odin auto-reboot checked off so stock doesnt replace odin says PASS I disconnect the phone but in downloading mode the blue bar is full and the phone doesn't want to shut down. I remove the battery and try to boot into custom philz-recovery it gets stuck in samsung logo. But functions perfectly on normal boot. I reset the whole phone and try the cf-auto-root method and the phone gets stuck in samsung logo now not even booting up normally. So i reset the whole phone again with odin and firmware from sammobile now sitting with a stock android and knox warranty ticked without having a root.
(Sorry for the long post I've tried to provide as much info as I can) So I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 exact model number SM-G900H. And I'm trying to root it. I go into download mode than I launch Odin and check off Auto-Reboot so it won't boot up and the stock recovery replaces the custom I'm trying to install, I connect the phone it says its connected than I select AP and than choose philz-recovery (latest version) and start it. So the Odin finishes its work says "PASS" in green letters. I disconnect the phone but on S5 the blue bar is full and it does not want to shut down (if the auto-reboot is checked it just reboots and it doesn't even want to boot into stock recovery just stuck on samsung logo) I've waited a good hour and still nothing. So I pull out the battery for it to shut down and than I straight try to boot into recovery and it just gets stuck on samsung logo and the blue letters don't even show up. Before rooting the recovery worked and I factory resetted the device before so samsungs knox does't interrupt with its not-being-able-to-boot-into-recovery-if-you-dont-know-the-password-to-the-samsung-account. And I'm now sitting here now with knox warranty ticked and not even rooted BUT I CAN STILL USE THE PHONE PERFECTLY WITHOUT TRYING TO BOOT INTO RECOVERY JUST BOOTS UP NORMALLY. So what I do than is reset the phones firmware with Odin from sammobile. Ok stock android. Than I try the Cf-auto root method with Odin. No luck phone just doesn't even boot up. So I reset the phone again same method. Ok stock android again. Sitting here reading through google for 8 hours 5 of thise spent on xda. STILL NO LUCK. So I hope someone can resolve the issue. I can't provide any pictures as I just rage closed my computer and didn't take pics. And if I install cynogenmod with heimdall is it going to be rooted (i know you don't need a root to do that) and can someone provide a guide to that heimdall cynogenmod install method?

My S7 Duos is totally unresponsive, black screen but blue LED is on

I had my phone just sitting on a wireless charger this morning and had been there for about 15-30 minutes. I noticed it was rebooting, odd I thought? I took it off and then realized it was going into a boot loop. I gave it a soft reset and then it would turn on and stay on for about 10 seconds before boot looping again. I again gave it a soft reset after a couple loops and now it seems to totally dead, as the title implies.
No button combination has worked and I've held them all down for well over 30 seconds each. I've tried plugging it into my PC and haven't gotten any response that way. The blue LED is on so I know it's not dead...I think? To make matters worse, I bought this phone off Craigslist about 5 months ago and it's the Exynos version so I definitely can't get any kind of warranty on it. I'm hoping someone has had this problem and can help or just has some advice. Thanks everyone.
EDIT: To keep this updated, I have been able to get into Odin Mode and have tried to flash stock firmware. Odin says everything went fine but the phone hangs up at the Samsung Galaxy S7 logo. I'm unable to boot into recovery mode and I've even tried to reinstall TWRP with Odin and that has not worked.
Seen the LED only problem before, waiting for the battery to drain and the phone to turn off seems to be the only known cure atm
Once it does, connect the charger for 15 mins, then boot directly into recovery and clear caches to try fix the bootloop, possible it may need factory resetting / clean flash of stock ROM
Using the MicroUSB > USB white adapter, you may be able to connect a power hungry USB peripheral to the phone to drain the battery faster, I use a USB desktop fan, but some people report it not working when it is stuck in this LED loop and have just had to wait it out
Thanks for that advice, I'll let it drain over night. However, I have been able to get it to boot into Odin Mode and Odin v.3 recognized it. I flashed the stock firmware but upon rebooting nothing happened and now it gets stuck at the Samsung logo screen. I can still get it back into Odin mode, which I believe will be the fastest way to kill the battery, but I find it odd that I can get into that but not recovery? I am rooted and have TWRP installed, if that matters at all.
If you can get into Download (ODIN) mode, then letting the battery drain probably won't help, that only seems to help when the phone is completely stuck with nothing but the LED working
Make sure you flash CSC (Not HOME_CSC) along with the other 3 sections of the ROM, using ODIN 3.12.3, that should factory reset the phone after the flash
If you successfully flashed stock with ODIN already, you are no longer rooted and do not have TWRP installed, flashing stock with ODIN replaces all that with stock
I updated Odin and once again tried to flash the 4 parts, making sure I used the right CSC file, but I'm still getting hung up at the Samsung Galaxy S7 logo. Do you have a suggestion as to which region's firmware I should use? I have been trying the Australia one from SamMobile's site.
EDIT: And to clarify, I have the G930FD(the duos one).

Any region would work, and the F firmware works for the FD too
