I've been looking at different models of these, from the offical Samsung one to the cheap china models. I was wondering if anyone has one and how their's works and where it came from???
I'd like to find one that plug into the wall so I can charge the tablet also.
This is a very good advice can go try ah

I know this is a stupid question and all, but i sent my phone in for repair, and seem to have lost the usb cord for it. I dont know if it NEEDS a specific one, because when i got it, i used an older one and it didn't work to connect it and transfer files to computer. So if i want to go to best buy or something and buy a new one, what should i look for?
Any Micro-USB cord will work. http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-BlackBerry-Micro-Cable-ASY-18683-001/dp/B004FP8HL0

any mini usb to usb cord will do. Its a common cable so most electronic store will have them. try walmart or radio shack if you dont to go shop online.

Terrible idea, I bought a charger from Wal-Mart and while its charging, the touch screen is non functional, so the only way use the phone is to unplug.
Use Prime's link and order a legit Samsung branded one (cheaper anyways) or go to AT&T. If you buy a random/generic charger from somewhere and it jacks up your phone, AT&T can actually deny you your warranty.

I never had any problems, oh well, in this case, better to buy the quality brand, better to be safe then sorry, right?
I've been getting $0.99 cent retractable chargers from eBay. Yeah they come from Hong Kong and they aren't the best quality. But they work just fine and at such a cheap price I buy a bunch at a time and just keep one at every location I go. I have never had any problems at all with the cheap ones.
I did buy an "official" one from Samsung and honestly I see no difference.

When I had my Blackjack ages ago, I bought all sorts of ebay accessories for it including chargers and batteries. It was sort of a hit and miss for me and sometimes I would lose button functions or a battery would never hold a charge. I've just given up on trying to save a couple bucks.
Yeah I guess I've just lucky.
Here's the one's I've been getting if this helps anyone.

Actually you need one for charge and sync. Att will sell you a charge only if you tell them you need a new cable. All micro usb cables for the infuse are not the same.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
I misplaced mine luckily my wife's broken kindle cord fit perfectly and its extra nice because its like 8 ft long. Works for everything ive tried so far even hdmi
yup i use my kindle cable too, charger works great as well
Hi all.
I have been doing a bit of research and am finding split information as to whether or not the galaxy tab 8.9 is able to use a composite rca cable or not.
I see some selling the cable and advertising it as being compatible with all galaxy tabs including the 8.9, I am also seeing some selling the exact same cable and advertising it as only being compatible with the Samsung P1000 7” tab.
Here is an example of the cable I am talking about. I do have an hdmi cable which works great, but I would still like to have the rca cable if it is compatible.
I am wondering if anyone has tried this type of cable with a galaxy tab 8.9..
Thanks for the help!
I have ordered one at dealextreme for a few euros, a few days ago. I'll let you know if it works. I am particularly interested in using it to connect my tab to a projector. I couldn't find any information on the internet so I'll just see what happens I guess.
Thanks stevennekens for the reply. I as well would like to be able to use my tab with a projector.
Looks like the hyperlink in my above post did not stick, here is an example of the cable I am referring to :
http://www.accessorywiz.com/composi...io-cable-link-for-samsung-galaxy-tab-8-9.html
doesn't work
I have my cable in from dealxtreme and it doesn't work with the galaxy tab 8.9 although otherwise advertised (not by samsung). I am still hoping to find a way to get it to work.
Thanks lrbizar for the reply.
Sorry to hear that the cable does not work for our tab.. other than this minor issue, I have really enjoyed using it.
If you are ever able to get it working, please let me know.

Hi people,
It's unbelievable but it doesn't work. I actually exchanged the cable once thinking it was faulty. The Samsung say it's not compatible. And I have a Samsung H03 projector that I was looking forward to connecting to my GT 8.9. It's very frustrating that I can't connect two Samsung devices together. GT 10.1 and 7 should be fine they say. Where did you get the HDMI cable please?
Good luck.
Danny.
I have used this car dock for my Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One, HTC One M8 phones:
iBolt xProDock
Now, naturally I wanted to continue using it with my OnePlus One, but no luck. It is not being charged
When I moved from SGS 3 to HTC, I contacted iBoltr guys and they even sent me separate Charging arm for HTC, since it was different from Samsung (orientation of the mini USB plug).
Does anybody use the same with OnePlus One? Any luck to charge it with this dock? The dock is great, works with any cases etc, also I have pushed the wire "into" my panel, so it looks really neat.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Is it not charging as in not giving it enough juice or not charging as in not detecting the power source? To make sure, open stock dialer and select *#*#4636#*#* then go to "Battery information.
Make sure the USB pins are the right direction. It looks like the M8 and Oneplus have the same USB-orientation but I can't be sure.

I'm using the Onn brand sold at Wal-Mart. I haven't had an issue with it at all. I got mine at a local goodwill. It comes with the main adapter and an adapter for Samsung devices. It also can charge the device at the same time.
I found this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/help/mhl-to-hdmi-adapter-t2801885
Seems like the HDMI adapter situation is a total mess. The MHL standard is a joke, because apparently no one bloody follows it correctly.
Unfortunately i live in Europe. So i can not go to Walmart and grab it.
And yes it is really messed up I can not be sure if the product i wanna buy is gonna be compatible.
Any MHL3 works.
Is there an MHL adapter that will work without needing to be plugged in to a power source? I just bought one off Amazon, but it certainly didn't work without being plugged in to power....
So my wife has a Motorola Lapdock 100 which has a micro HDMI port for display and micro USB connector for the keyboard and to charge the phone. I'd like to adapt this so that I could use it with a modern-day phone such as the HTC One M8 or Galaxy S5, but I can't find a pre-made one online, and I can't find enough information for how to splice my own cable together (preferably buy a pre-made one). Does anyone know an easy way to make this cable myself, or if I can find one pre-made?
Also, sorry if this should've been in Q&A, please move it if needed.
