1st save any cm roms on the root of your sd card...
Flash cwm by tj_style
wipe data, wipe cache
flash the cm rom of your choice
wipe data, wipe cache..reboot...

Try switching on without sim card...
- Via xda premium

format system and flash cwm by wiping dalvik too.....
and dont go deep into rfs fs you cant change it ext4 on stock rom....and rfs in noway is involved in installing other roms and bootloops...

[Q] Ext4 partition

I have a question about ext4 convert here.. Let's say I've flashed to a custom rom that converts my phone's partitions to ext4, once I flash a stock firmware on top of it, do the partitions stay in ext4 or back to rfs?
No it converted to rfs

Ok... What about I wipe date from cwm? Does that revert the partitions back to rfs as well?
I don't think by wiping your data cache u can revert back to rfs. you have to reflash for rfs.

Wiping doesnot changes the partition format. When you flash a new firmware the partitions will be converted to rfs.

Could be the reason, but many guys at another forum did it and it worked perfect for them, i think the error could be in the flash of kph, so the whole process went bad
Lucasred, i had the same problem twice. But i had tried it with XXKPQ.

Yes, I'm using it.
For the others: the restore of the nandroid backup after the conversion failed whenever I tried to convert the phone before deodexing it. Try to deodex first, and then convert.
What I found weird was that the error was "not enough space", but when I tried to restore the backup on rfs it worked, doing the same after the ext4 conversion gave the error. I don't know how you could convert the partitions in ext4 with an odexed rom, I didn't look for any solution, maybe if you don't want to deodex your rom you could try to remove some system apps or something like that before the nandroid backup, in order to get more space.

[Troubleshoot]Sense Rom Stuck At Boot Animation.

Please help me...I flashed the FlyROM V4 correctly but its stuck at boot animation...when i go to mount sd-ext..its shows "Error mounting sd-ext"..is that the problem? If it is..how to solve it?
Make Sure You Made A Sd-Ext Partition Correct, To Check Whether You Made A Partition Correct Or Not, Just Mount Sd-Ext In Recovery, If It Mounts Without Any Error Then Just Go Ahead, But If It Shows An Error, It Means You Didn't Make A Partition Correct. So Now What You Need To Do Is:
1. Don't Partion Your SD Card By Using Recovery.
2. Partition It Via "Minitool Partition Wizard" Manually.
3. Create A Ext 4 Partition As Primary.
4. Now, Install Yannou's Recovery (The One Which You Install While Rooting)
5. Finally, Mount Sd-Ext And Flash Any Sense 4 Rom..
Note: Don't Use CWM Recovery, It Never Mount Sd-Ext At Any Cost.. Use Yannou's Recovery Or Philz Touch Recovery Instead..

thanks for replying here..i got the problem solved by just
1. removing old partitions
2. changing to philz recovery
3. making a new partition using philz and then flashing..
But now am unable to install any kind of memory script to increase internal memory..even after installing successfully .. the memory isnt increasing..what's wrong?
First open ur rom zip, navigate to system/etc/init.d and remove that 78mv2ext file and replace it with ur desired script and then reflash rom..
But do this at your own risk, if u get into a bootloop just reflash the rom with 78mv2ext script again..
Note: in sense roms, internal memory will always be 150 mb, but when you install apps its internal memory will not decrease as it decreases usually because of that Sd-Ext Partition you created..

lol i didnt know internal memory is always 150mb..but it doesnt decreases..if its true..then there's no problem.

[Q] HTC Explorer Booting Issue

I am having a HTC Explorer... I have unlocked the bootloader and have rooted my phone. I have CWM Recovery installed.. I treid installing custom ROM, but after installing once I reboot, it keeps showing the custom ROM's animated loading screen and never proceeds forward. I have tried 4 different custom ROM's and also tried to install Stock ROM but same happens.
During installation I don't get any sort of error. But once I reboot the phone it is stuck on the loading animation. I have already tried formatting data, clearing partition cache and clearing dalvik cache...
Can any one help regarding this issue.. ?
P.S: I don't have any backup..I know I should have backed up...but still...

Firstly specify which which roms you tried which recovery you are using.
Well to say..
If you are using sense based Roms.. Then ext partition is needed.. Which can be done in recovery- Advanced- Partition sd card..
Partitioning sd card will format your card so take a backup of it
If you are using sense based roms then use recovery which mounts ext Like TWRP or Philz or CWM Latest one..
If not a sense based rom:
1. Go to recovery
2. Wipe data/factory reset.
3. Wipe cache partition.
4. Advanced -> Wipe dalvich cache.
5. Mounts and storage -> format /boot, /cache, /system , /sd-ext(if present).
6. Dont format anything else.
7. Install zip -> flash the rom.
8. Reboot
If you are still facing problem PM me..

F2FS on stock

i wanted to know if it is possible to format our system partition as f2fs and have it work our data partition on kitkat is already f2fs so are we able to do it to system? in twrp i attempted this by fro matting to f2fs but when restoring system it reformats system as ext 4 is there away around this? on twrps website there is a command to keep a the file system it is "tw_rm_rf – uses rm –rf instead of formatting system and data partitions, this option is used to prevent changes to the file system settings such as file system type, " i found it here http://www.teamw.in/twrp2-reference-guide would this help to do this? i don't know where to put this command in though
Edit: on a sidenote i formatted cache as f2fs and it booted
Edit 2: i looked at it again and cache was reformatted back to ext4

Did you ever succeed in getting stock "DATA" partition to F2FS? I couldn't restore my backup and phone wouldn't boot anymore.. so went back to EXT4..
Maybe @djvita knows something, I think he has been experimenting a bit with F2FS..

interesting.. how did you do it? I did it in TWRP 2.8.1.0 via advanced wipe and after that got stuck on the motorola bootlogo..
That is the same thing I did but after whipeing I restored my data partition. I think the reason you got stuck in a bootloop is because you did not clear dalvic and cache or you do not have the kit Kat boot loader

I tried it again.. this time it worked.. I rebooted after format directly back into recovery and was then able to restore my data from ext4 to f2fs.. not sure, why it didn't work the first time around, but thanks for checking back!
