Hi everyone,
I have TF101 with the Team EOS JellyBean ROM,
When I try to open the Play Store or download files in the browser, I get force close of "Android.Process.Media" and then the store/browser force closes too.
Any help would be much appreciated as I can't install apps on my tablet currently.

Go to settings ->applications->all
scroll down to "Google services framework" and clear cache and data, now scroll down to play store and wipe cache and data again... just for good measures wipe data from all Google related apps...
Now restart and go to recovery->advanced->fix permissions-> wipe dalvik cache and cache and restart your tablet... this should work....
If doesn't then wipe everything and reinstall the from from scratch....

I just tried this and after the reboot I was still getting the force close, so I reinstalled the ROM and the problem was still there. Don't know what to do.
I am also confused as when I install a different jellybean ROM, my home screen layouts are all still the same, even if I wipe the system.

What recovery r u using ? Try TWRP... download TWRP AND INSTALL IT by flashing it through recovery.....
1) wipe your external SD CARD CLEAN
2) copy say AOSP JB and TWRP to your now clean SD card
3) go to recovery and flash TWRP first and reboot again into recovery.
4) now wipe system, cache, dalvik, system and internal memory using wipe option
5) now flash ASOP JB and once done just wipe dalvik and restart...
Hopefully this should work....

Go to twrp-> wipe-> system wipe, dalvik wipe, cache wipe, internal memory wipe and format system... these will clean your tablet of any old android files and its totally clean.. now go under storage and mounts and mount storage and format storage after these steps reinstall.. I'm running on AOSP without any issues...

Should I try a different JB ROM instead of the Team EOS one? Could you link to the thread with the one you use possibly?

Download superuser, latest AOSP ROM, harmony kernel for JB, and Google apps from above link.. and flash kernel 1st through recovery, restart wipe everything present on internal memory (refer previous post), then flash the AOSP JB ROM (release 3).... all are in above link read and do properly and you should not see any issues...

Did you flash harmony kernel... ? Do exactly what I say, when you go to twrp recovery flash harmony kernel and restart and get back into recovery... now go to wipe and wipe everything expect external memory ( cache, dalvik, system, internal memory) after all these now flash the AOSP JB ROM and wipe dalvik/cache after installation.. now flash superuser which you downloaded from the link within AOSP... important is try AOSP ROM WITH HARMONY KERNEL... leave team EOS JB for now...

If you talking about just the wallpaper (green leaf wallpaper ) p, then green wallpaper is same for both ROMs as its the default wallpaper of JB... go to settings and find out what ROM you running on... also try clearing data of applications which are FCing....

I did all of the wipes in the order you said, I flashed the harmony kernel and the AOSP JB ROM, and still get all the force closing of android.process.media.
I selected the orange canyon kind of wallpaper when I was in Team EOS and when the AOSP ROM booted, it was that wallpaper. Even though I know it should be the leaf one. All my widgets were still there too. Even though in the settings menu it said it was running on the AOSP ROM.
Is it safe to format internal memory with Windows ? Will it have any impact when I'll reboot my transformer ? I have already taken backup of internal memory and planning to restore it when formatting is complete. If no, is there any other way I can format internal memory ? I think my internal memory is having some error and due to this PowerAmp music player scanning library is stopping at around 90% and it is not completing. Also, the OS has become a little slow on responding. I am using Android Revolution HD 3.5.0.

It is not regarding ROM installation. I have already installed Android Revolution HD 3.5.0. I am facing a problem related to bad Internal memory, so I need to format it completely. My question is: Can I format the internal memory through Window desktop machine while connecting it through USB cable ? Is it safe since it is internal memory ? I am not sure, but it may be having the installed ROM inside it.

Android is in internal memory, so formatting it will wipe your OS... better to reinstall if you have issues with apps or OS itself.. otherwise small issues can be fixed by wiping dalvik cache and system cache.. also try fixing permission...

Hi everyone,
how can I wipe all the data from the internal storage of my TF101?
I am using the Rogue XM Recovery 1.3.0 atm
Thanks
Go into Android Revolution HD's OP and you can use the SuperWipe. But beware, make a back up of your internal on your PC, as there is no going back. When it is wiped, it is gone forever (insert evil laugh here).

Every worked fine. Thanks guys
I recently downgraded to gingerbread , everything went well thanks to xbsall's new rebooter tool.
I booted and when i came to the home screen i came across an error which said "Damaged Phone Memory".
I first ignored it and went on but when i installed ez file explorer , it says no sd card mounted or nonexistent.
I can't seem to download anything (No sd card error again) except apps which install at system's partition.
Anyone have this error ?
Edit : When i return to ICS it all goes away.
I also realized my old stuff is still around. (That's odd because i thought due to the change in size in partitions it formatted the sdcard. It's actually more odd because i manually formatted it.)
I wiped data/factory reset.
Wiped dalvik cache wiped everything.
Formatted Sdcard. (Apparently it doesn't recognize my sdcard so this format may not count...)
No luck so far.
Pretty sure you just need to reformat/erase the sd card from the menu.

When you downgrade from xbsall's ICS port with v21e it will always show damaged phone memory. All you have to do is flash your countries stock ROM. There is a thread somewhere for the download links. Just look for them then unzip the .bin and .fls files then flash them as you did to up/down grade.

Will try the next time i'm not lazy...
Thanks for the help guys.
Will ask xbsall to include this in his repair guide.

Format sdcard from ROM settings
Factory reset in the main menu if it's the internal storage. It's normally due to the fact that the SD and/or other storage areas are formatted as EXT4, something GB can't handle seemingly.
InternalSDcard partition allocates different memmory blocks in my Ported SU760 ICS than those of original P920 Gingerbread thats why you need to reformat when you get back to Gingerbread.
Both in ICS and GB it is in FAT format.
Is factory reset from clockwork any different from the original ? If no i did a factory reset at clockwork but it didn't work...

I said format internal SD from your ROM settings.
Boot into ROM go to settings, storage and FORMAT internalSD

I asked it in accordance to what Devion said.

Can't I recover files if i not update back to ICS? no other way? I need this files...
I had this exact same issue, and when pressed app menu, i only had the 3D apps, (couldnt even go to settings),
What i did was; on main screen pressed left capacitive button to get to settings and did a factory reset.
just downgraded and had 0 internal memory but after factory reset I now have 0.89 gb internal memory (not internal sd) is it supposed to be this only? I had the impression it was around 2 gigs?
btw I got stock v21E nothing uninstalled

Nothing is damaged just format the memory from the menu and it will be fine (might need a rebooting as well, can't remember)

had already formatted and done a factory reset. Now my question is apart from internal sd which gives me about 5.5 gig i get a mere 0.89 gig of internal ram. Is it supposed to be that only or more? Again I had the impression that it was supposed to be around 2 gig internal memory (i.e reserved for app installation). Stock v21E nothing installed and nothing removed.

what you got is right.
I had the same issue of "damaged internal memory". Factory reset helped.
Its only 1GB internal.
Please click on thanks if you think I helped.

DID you succeed, cuz i've the same pb but my phone is a P925 not the P920
And all the advises here don't work for me
In fact GB V21e bootloader and rebooter in xbsall doesn't succeed in booting my phone after downgrade so I went back to ICS bootloader wich boot but end up with this memory problem. No formating/factory reset from romor even from recovery work for me. Perharp your v21e is not suitable for LG P925 ??!!
Any suggestions
I am currently running CleanROM 7 and I'm looking to start fresh i.e. format both my S.D. card and internal storage. If I do the "factory data reset" from within the settings options should this do the trick? Will I be back to a fresh install of CleanROM after this? Or would you recommend wiping internal storage from recovery and then reflashing the ROM?
Thanks!

1. If you wipe everything in recovery, you're not going to have the .zip anymore (because it got wiped)
2. You can wipe it from the settings first to see if you like it

Ah, right. Well I already wiped my SD. So I guess I could just take the ROM and put it on the SD then wipe internal with TWRP and install the ROM from SD
