Not to state the obvious, but did you try to power the phone off? On the One S, hold the power button down for 10 seconds. Try their installation steps again and check the md5 of the ROM.zip
I can't help you with the ROM specific part as I don't use it.

Stuck on White HTC Logo Screen After Flashing Andromadus ROM Build 13 (Android 4.2)

Hi,
I have a HTC DS..S-Off'ed with HBOOT downgraded to 0.98.2000 (PG8810000).
I also do have 4Ext Touch recovery and had made a full backup of my stock 2.3.3. ROM before flashing Andromadus.
I did the following:
went to 4ext's recovery app in recovery mode
>> then formated System
>> Formated Data
>> wiped* Cache (as there was no option for: "format" cache)
>> then Formated Boot
>> Wiped Data/Factory reset (1st option in wipe/format menu)
>> Wiped Dalvik Cache
>> n then finally installed zip (ROM) from sd card and flashed the rom..
>> then flashed then gapps zip
Now after 1st reboot from recovery..I am stuck at white background saying HTC..its been quite a few mins around 3-4mins
Had to pull out the battery after 10-15 mins
>> & then I flashed the MDDI kernel for Andromadus after reading this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943524
from Flinny's website here: http://andromadus.flinny.org/?q=node/24 (MDDI kernel file link is below).
Again, after rebooting from recovery I am stuck at the same white screen
My previous thread..detailing my issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2145958
Please help me.. :'( am in need of my phone badly
The MD5 was not same ! The MDDI kernel I flashed it did not had the same MD5 as I the one I redownloaded..
And now..I cannot reboot into recovery by using adb.. :'(
I tried "adb reboot recovery" command
And it gave me an error saying: error: device not found
How can I reset the adb?
I supposed you did it but nothing happened when you tried to manually enter to recovery (power + vol down) ?
You can also try to flash the original boot.img via android flasher then you'll be able to enter in recovery and flash another ROM, but I can't guarant you it'll work if adb doesn't recognize your phone :/ Try anyway
XDApped from my pimped Desire S

Problem after I tried to install CM10 A4

Hello !
I have this phone since yesterday and I have a problem.
I want to install X-Gamerz v2.6 Rom. I have done the KPE clean part, but after I flash CF Root LF2, I don't know what to do. I have reboot the phone in recovery with volume up+home+power button, I wipe data and I selected the .zip (CM10 A4) from SDCARD to flash. It starting to flash and after 3 seconds , it start to reboot. After another 3-4 seconds it says something which look like trying to flash something in recovery, but it stop very fast and it reboots again. After 3-4 seconds it says same thing, and reboots again and again . I tried to take out the sdcard, but after reboot , the recovery says something like "Waiting to mount the SDcard (20sec)" . After 20 sec it reboots again and says same thing.
I tried to follow the steps again, but I`ve got same thing. I tried to use the phone after I flashing CF Root LF2 and it work. But if I trying to flash again CM10 A4 zip or X-Gamerz zip, it enter in bootloop again.
What I doing wrong?

KPE> LF2> CF-LF2> CM10 A4
- remove the battery (bootlop recovery) this is normal boot loop so need not worry... now start working after this step
- Wipe data factory reset
- Mounts and Storage > Format /System
-Flash x-gamerz...
Thank you. It worked

If still entering into download mode means there is no hard brick
This happens often and no need to worry
If you want to fix this just replace the boot.img in your custom rom by the boot.img of your stock rom than wipe everything and flash
Or if you have a backup of your stock rom system restore the boot from cwm

[Q] PLZ HELP!! very bad soft bricked GT-P5100 :'(

2 days ago i was just going around my advanced junk with clean master app. there was a filed named empty folders which was 11 mb in advanced junk section, so i cleared the file and went to play angry birds, then suddenly it stuck and rebooted. :'( now every time it boots up, shows the boot image, starts the cyanogenmod boot animation and then the boot animation stucks and then the whole process again...REBOOT LOOP
i tried every thing till now:
1. tried to install stock rom through odin but still shows cyanogenmod animation and reboot loops
2.tried to install different recovery but the recovery doesn't change also.
3. tried to install a different rom for eg: PAC rom. it installs but it still shows cyanogenmod
4. also now i tried to install stock firmware with pit file but it still shows cyanogenmod animation.
AND MY WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED MONTHS AGO
i think there is a problem with the partition or something... i dont know how to fix it

If you are able to boot to recovery, can't you wipe completely? (System, cache, data) Once CM is gone you should be able to install other Rom. I'm a little confused how CM could continue to boot if it has been wiped from phone...

i think i cleared a system file which was related to the partition of the system in the advanced junk section of clean master app...
I HATE CLEAN MASTER
You can flash a Custom-Recovery using Odin.
You´ll find a link latest recoverys in my signature.
If Stock Recovery still boots you need to uncheck "Auto-Reboot" in Odin. When Odin finished flashing, wait 1 minute to be sure. Then directly boot into recovery from download-mode and enjoy the custom recovery.
This will increase your flashcounter!
Put your Rom & Gapps on your MicroSD Card
In CWM / CWM based recoverys:
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvic Cache
Wipe Data Factory Reset
format /system
fromat /data and /data/media (this will format your internal sd! be sure your rom placed on microSD card)
flash the rom
reboot (first boot can take ~30 minutes - if it still bootloops: something´s worng )
if everything working:
reboot recovery
flash gapps
reboot
Strange that reflashing the system didn't help. You could try it with an other recovery?

Is the ROM you are flashing made for your specific model number? Are you using the newest version of TWRP that you can find? Are you factory resetting, wiping cache and dalvik when you flash? Have you tried doing an advanced wipe in TWRP to wipe system partition and data partition and then flashing your ROM then wiping cache and dalvik after you flash?

Lollipop, marshmallow and nougat van take up to 30 minutes to boot the first time, are you giving it time to load or are you just getting impatient?

To be thorough and make sure you miss nothing, I suggest these steps:
1)in TWRP, tap the Wipe button, then it should say at the top of the screen: "factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik". Swipe the slider to do the wipe.
2)after wiping, tap the home button in TWRP, on TWRP home screen, tap the Wipe button again, then tap the advanced wipe option, wipe system and data.
3)tap home button, on home screen, tap install then flash your ROM and Gapps.
4)after flashing ROM and Gapps, wipe cache and dalvik(do not factory reset).
5)reboot.
