Galaxy S Stuckon Logo Screen after Clockwork Mod Recovery Install - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

I just rooted my phone using the Super One Click app. That worked fine. However, my phone wont boot anymore and just halts at the "Galaxy S 4G exclusively for TMobile" screen. Here is what I did:
1. Installed ROM Manager
2. Flashed Clockwork Recovery Mod (selected Nexus S 4G as install)
3. Tried to backup my current stock install (named it "TMobile Stock")
4. The Phone rebooted and now it is stuck on the splash screen.
Did I brick my phone? Is there a way to recovery out of this?
Any advice would be much appreicated.
My phone is the SGH-T959V.
Any help would be much appreciated. Not sure what to do. Thanks in advance.

Well your first mistake was using Rom manager. Our phone is not supported. That's why its not listed. Its recoverable, and yes you are bricked. Softbricked. Follow one of the one click guides, and btw this is the wrong section for questions. I'm happy to help, but questions, even technical unbrick questions go to Q & A or general.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium

now thats better you can use heimdall one click to revive your soft bricked phone

As stated above, ROM manager is not supported on the SGS4G. The only way to get CWM recovery in this phone is to flash a custom kernel from the Dev section. First, however, you're going to need to find the Heimdall one click back to stock in the dev.section and follow the directions carefully to fix the phone.
And I suggest reading a whole lot more on this forum before doing any more customization of your phone. There is a lot of info here that will make sure you get everything done safely.

So I recently rooted my mytouch4g, after rooting my phone I learned how to load roms ect. As I found myself getting carried away loading this ROM, that theme whatever it may have been. Recently I have been having trouble booting up Roms and restoring backups off my phone is there anyway to just compleatly wipe my phone and start over?!
Hi, welcome to xda
You can, you need to enter recovery and do all the wipes there. You can do a factory reset trough settings and then the wipes
I am sure you can find instructions in your device section, should you need any
Thanks man new to the fourm and love my device.
I didnt know that through clockwork from the boot menu when i whiped the cash and factory restor that was all the data from the phone. It could just be the rooms I was trying to use...Seems to be the trend with most anyways.
Thanks again man.
and i'd recommend you install quick boot so you can directly launch into recovery mode

Please help a newbie out

Hey All,
Just had my infuse for a week and no complaints about the phone so far. But I have been reading a lot on this forum and I want to get off this stocky phone and get a ROM on it and see how much better it will be.
I'm fairly new to this as I have never rooted or loaded ROM's before, so running into a lot of problems. Trying to root my Rogers Infuse with superoneclick which didn't work and ended up getting stuck in boot loop so used odin3 fix and got it up and running again and rooted phone.
I downloaded the 3e recovery and used root explorer to r/w in system/bin which is telling me to rename old recovery file but for some reason I don't have an original recovery file. So I just paste the one I downloaded and unzipped in the folder, use rom manager and flash cwm. Then when I get to cwm recovery to reinstall packages but that option is not available on screen.
Sorry guys I'm pretty struggling with this, I have been searching all over and starting to think I should just stick to stock. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance!!

First download your ROM,next use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14053463
Then flash your ROM

you never set up CWM...
download rom manager from the market, click "flash clockworkmod recovery", then select plain old galaxys i900.
this should give you the "reinstall packages" option that you are looking for, and selecting that twice will get you to green recovery.
or you could just flash any infusion froyo kernel with heimdall or odin and get directly to red CWM (which is where you generally want to be flashing zips from).
Damn just tried it but stuck on Samsung boot screen. Seemed like everything got loaded on the phone, Odin3 said it was completed too. Maybe there is something wrong with my phone thanks.

I downloaded ROM manager before and clicked on "flash clockworkmod recovery" but the "reinstall packages" still didn't show up.
Not to sure how to flash kernels yet.

try starting fresh from stock, and following this video to get your modded 3e recovery. make sure you adjust the permissions like the video does.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkMo8rBehHg
I will give it another go at it.
I will follow this link to get back to stock
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1092021
There are 2 downloads there that I see. "stock + rooted + 3e" and the other is "100% stock"
E
whenever i need to (i say that because most of the time it isn't really necessary), i always go back to 100% stock, do a factory reset from settings (make sure the contents of your SD card are backed up), and re-root it using superoneclick (making sure USB debugging is on, and my SD card is mounted).
then, follow the youtube video for modded 3e recovery, making sure to adjust the permissions at the end. flash clockworkmod recovery again in rom manager (plain old galaxys i9000), and this should allow you to finally flash your ROM.
Yea going to give it one last try before I go to bed thanks!
E
This is a good read on this phone. Kind if weird being so different from my Captivate for doing roms.
Thanks guys flashed Serendipity 7 it's great!
Just started fresh, made sure I took all the correct steps and it worked.

UCKD5 is a Froyo AT&T-derived ROM - the bootloaders on your Rogers Infuse probably won't like it.
It looks like you eventually figured things out, but in general - the Rogers Infuse has different "back to stock" and "rooting" processes from AT&T devices due to it having stock Gingerbread and more specifically, Gingerbread bootloaders. Since far more people here own AT&T Infuses, the Rogers-specific threads tend to get buried on the 2nd/3rd pages of dev, and people here forget that Rogers devices are "special" when posting suggestions.

[Q] Getting Infuse into CWM

First off, i'm sorry if there are posts on this. I searched this site and Google to find my answer. I tried flashing the Infused rom first, the flash didn't work, I was stuck in boot loop. I eventually used Odin to get back to stock. I decided to go with the SuperCM7 instead to try my luck with that. I am rooted and have installed CWM through rom manager(galaxysi9000 as im sure you all know. I'm trying to follow the steps on infinitybiff's post(directions for flashing....) Anyways when i try to go into CWM recovery, i'm taken to the standard android <3e> recovery screen. Should I try downloading CWM to my sdcard and trying that? Any suggestions would be great!
Just manually replace the recovery file.
Could you guide me through that? Sorry im a noob.

Thanks... Although for some reason my phone wasn't booting up. Now trying Odin again, but its getting stuck at factory.fs.rfs or whatever it is. Hopefully didn't brick my phone.
no soup for you.
sorry had to do it. Seinfeld was a good show.
Hahaha, yes Seinfeld was a good show. No worries got my phone up and running, now to try this flashing crap again... OK, update.zip is on my INTERNAL SD CARD and still not booting into CWM. On the verge of giving up.
Did you try to manually replace the recovery file yet? ROM Manager doesn't always seem to work for it.
My method :
Flash the kernel+cwm by sgs kernel flasher apps.
if your rom.
Froyo > Community kernel v8
GB > Infuse-GB 1.0 kernel

With the recovery guides listed in this forum, the G2x can't be permanently bricked, so don't worry so much.

im a noob at this i have almost no clue what im doing i tried superoneclick but it stays stuck saying something.
Thanks guys i rooted it. next step ROMS
Rooting does not brick the phone, but being rooted gives you the ability to brick the phone. You do not need to be rooted to flash roms. The first thing that should be done is to install Clockworkmod (CWM) recovery onto the device (search the forums) using the one-click flasher. If you are simply rooting and using Rom Manager that is a good way to F up your device. If you install CWM recovery then you just flash a pre-rooted rom if you are changing roms. No need to root first. A total waste of time. And to be safe you need CWM on the device's physical recovery partition (not bootstrap version) before you do anything to your device.

This phone is almost impossible to actually brick. This is probabyl just a bad flash. Redownload the ROM, boot into recovery, wipe, wipe, wipe, and reinstall the ROM and the correct Gaaps.
If problem still persist, you will have no choice but to use Odin. Search around in the forum or Google. Good luck.

Huh? Odin is for Samsung devices, not for LG devices.
Unless there us something I don't know about, don't use Odin in g2x. Unless you do want a brick.
Just re-download the rom and try again.
For root just use One Click to root. It's easy.

How? I tried the steps for Flashing a CWM Recovery, but whenever I hold down power and volume down it just loops between the LG logo and the android unpacking animation and no driver installation window pops up. What's happening?

Sounds like you did not remove the battery from the phone first. Or you are not pressing both up and down volume together and keeping them pressed continuously.

When I do that, It just shows the LG logo and restarts. Another loop.
[EDIT] I'm a noob. I've been looking in to this for hours and just now realized it said both up and down. Derp. Now I can get into CWM recovery mode, but I still cant seem to get my device to actually boot. It's either recovery or the blue LG.

Help please

I tried downloading and installing the custom recovery so I could flash roms but it didn't work so I tried to turn on my phone nd nowit gets stuck on Samsung what do I do????????
Not trying to be wise but reading and research should be done before attempting to create a brick.
Start here and if necessary click the Heimdall link in signature.
