Erik’s phone has died. As a member of this community I'm trying to rally support to get Erik a phone that actually works.
About 3 months ago I created a thread to help Erik get a phone after his last one died. The seller misrepresented the device (imagine that). The functionality was limited and it had a short life span. Hopefully we will achieve a better result this time.
This is for the SGS4g community and has nothing to do with me on a personal level. I have done some testing in the past for Erik due to the limits of what is now a paperweight. I have absolutely no affiliation with Team Kick Ass/Team Fah-Q or its affiliated affiliates.
If you are able to help, cool. If not, cool. I’m sure everybody would if they could. Erik will keep us posted on the price of a phone and where we're at.

should have known that would have happened. erik knows i would help, since i was a major part to the last, but funds are kinda tight here atm. if this is still going next week, i' ll throw down something, which if anyone knows me, i throw down big. just maybe not as much as before. and in case you all are wondering, yes i am a part of team acid, but that by no means says i can't help others in another team.

Because all i see is credit, and im not old enough to have a credit card I'm down for a 5 to 10 dollar donation if it does work. And any progress update or milestone we want to reach for this?

no, due to the issues, I asked him to refund the money I sent.
The hold for the refund should release the morning of the 20th.
krylon you seem to have the worst luck obtaining this device. Is this the second out third time you have been offered one and lost it? I remember when lucky duck sent you one and we got cwm then ravers got lost in the mail seems like there was another one. Well, good luck with it and thanks for all you do for us.

I've never known that to be true. Their github has 59 developers, he is not one.
codeworkx and atinm are though.
Feel free to keep trying to give phones to krylon... I am just saying, perhaps you should try something different for a change.
I am willing to sell my Galaxy S4g for 200. I am trying to reduce monthly expenses and getting rid of my phone and service will help. Phone is in great shape and I have the box and all accessories except the headphones.

I completely agree with this. A phone should be sent out to either Atinm, codeworkx or coolya. No offense to Krylon, but he had an SGS4G for quite some time and was entirely unsuccessful getting CM to even boot (if he was successful I never saw anything on it..).
If you sent a phone to Atinm, codeworkx or coolya GUARANTEED you would have CM in a very short time. But hey, what do I know. Do as you please.
BTW... didn't Krylon just sell his SGS4G? And now you're wanting to buy him another? Hmmm...

So get in touch with the developers you speak of and if they want the device start a fund for them. Plenty of people here are willing to donate. This is the third fund out of three completed.

I do not have the time to handle this, I was hoping I could encourage you guys to explore new/possibly better options.
All I can say is WOW I am fairly new to these boards and it seems like folks just want to argue about stuff. Alot of people were asking on this board about a rom for the samsung admire even on cm's board and no one has even offered to help. Krylon was the first to offer to help, that is why I sent him a donation to get the phone...

as soon as i can save up some more money, i'll help you out thomas. i know this isn't for the device i'm on, but who knows, i might upgrade. and if anyone here for this device is wondering why i would do this, just ask erik and any other dev from the sgs4g forum. combined so far i've donated nearly $1,000 within 4-6 month's time and they're pretty generous donations. i'll let you know when though thomas.

I'm new to this phone. I just came from a iPhone and galaxy nexus before that the rezound and so on...
This phone reminds me of the nexus s with t.w.
Specs wise. So idk about making roms but I do know our phone is capable of it.

Right now without kernel source a port would be hard and it'll have to be cm9 more than likely..I've tried it and it's too complicated might as well wait til next month when Sammy drops stock ics and source

The update to get the phone ready for ics just came out. Can't see ics being pushed that soon. And this topic has been beat to death. Google and you can see its coming soon.
just got back online in my pc gonna try to contact somebody to see . also if somebody can locate swampgoblin (i will too)
hes very very good at porting he did ics for the ns4g and ported the 1st working sense rom for the ns4g(nexus s 4g)
guys i guess im pressing the issue because i got so used to ics but i know it can be done. mathkid95 is also good in kernels .todays my day off so im gonna get on this. but im happy to see alot of people are into this.

Dsexton sent me his sgs4g. I got it today. He surprised me by sending me the phone plus an sd card, and extra battery, and external battery charger, usb cable and some earbuds.

dsexton got a gs3, and will be getting another sgs4g soon.
We're looking to expand the devices teamacid roms can be ported to.
I'm getting a couple different devices (sk4g and fascinate, to add to my sgs4g and at&t note), and other teamacid members also have different devices (t989, and some htc phones).
