Not to pointlessly start anotber tthread, as many topics are in this forum it seems....
I am hoping we get action with miui soon... I know there's more out there that agree!

Smjfosho said he was working on one in another miui thread. I messaged him and this is what he said " I've been trying, just can't get it to boot. I've been talking with the o2x guys and they are having similar issues." So hopefully they'll get it figured out soon.

No problem dude. Im thinking bout craigslisting a mt4g or g2 just to mess with but I'm sure we'll get miui eventually. Its just a matter of time just hang in there.

Any new news on Miui for the G2X?

believe me, we'll know when something happens.

Never messed with MIUI and decided to load it on my HD2 that my wife uses and I must say it is a bad a$$ OS. I can not wait for some MIUI action on the G2x!

I am also waiting very patiently for MIUI on this phone. They are starting to make headway as a phone has now been purchased with some donations. Here is the link.

Ok... I need help

Im getting sick of waiting. I appreciate all the help everyone is done. Its time I think I need some major help. Ive search and look and nothing has help. I want to port gingerbread to our phone. Do you guys have a lead to where I can get the information to port this thing. Idk if people are going at it to port but im going to.
Idk if I place this in the right place but I want the benefit of 2.3 I want to port this. I know the vibrant is similar but not really. I just want information to get 2.3 on our sgs4g

check the vibrant section for a GB rom then port it over.

You cant port GB. Have to wait... Try creating a custom rom once we have a flahable stock. Quit complaining. I know u apologised ahead of time in the op... But.... Yeah... There are multiple threads on how to port... READ. Sorry...

Wait, I thought the CM7 team had reconfigured the ROM for the SGS series. Is it only a handful of devices? I'm not entirely sure; I have a Droid, but figured I'd try to help a little bit... :-\

thanks for trying to help but its not for this device yet its only for a handful like the I9000 and the vibrant(not sure which other ones) i just hope we get something like it soon

OBVIOUSLY YOU DONT READ THROUGH XDA:
luckyduck has sent drhonk the sgs4g so that he can TRULY touch it up, like adding EXT4.
drhonk even said he has a to do list as soon as he gets the test phone
its not like GB can just be put on a phone, SAMSUNG has to release a source code for it and just so you know the USA is always LAST to get the source code.
just be patient like everyone else and yes drhonk will/ does help the sgs4g EVEN THOUGH ITS NOT THE PHONE HE USES!!!!!!!!!

I am on the verge of jumping ship also.... likely I will hand down my sgs4g to my gf (she has a vibrant now) and I will get the sensation or Hercules (I will wait til next month for info on the Hercules) is the Samsung pans out to release in August I am going that route. Otherwise HTC here I come.

[Q] miui thread closed?

I haven't been in the loop for a few weeks but why is the thread closed, I read a few of the newer pages but didn't see a reason to close. Will it be back?

Yeah the infuses xda section is falling apart to be honest. I think that the moderator needs to completely wipe the Infuses section except for ROMS, modems, and other development tools. We need a fresh start at development. Does anyone elese agree? Or am I just ranting?

I completely agree. We need to send JordanElliott a big thank you card and see if we can get this ball rolling again. He's only been off the MIUI thread for 2 days and everyone is lost.

The infuse is falling apart, our development is ruined. We do have a few great devs, but not enough that can truly make this a good phone. New ports are coming everyday, but seems like people running the aosp roms (not me lol) seem to just want updates and updates only. Not to go hating on people, but please, please be nice and lets make this change!

It would be nice but I don't really see anything changing, too many new and better phones, it just seems the devs get bored quick and jump to the next best thing. Can't really blame them but it would be nice if the infuse could spake some more interest.

Infuse

Man I just spent 1hr finding out how to port. I give it to the Devs boy its time consuming.
Which I had the time to cook in the kitchen.

If any of you decide to take a crack at it let me know. I will gladly be a test dummy.

Dude you should do it. Maybe you could just release it every 2 weeks or so and then if anyone gives you any bull or something then just ignore them. I Understand how jordan got mad and there were people giving him crap, but shutting it down is like killing off a lot of people who loved it lol (I never tried it). I think there should be a main post stickied saying read this, and saying how if there is any bull, it will not be tolerated and you will be ignored. Someone should seriously do that haha!

There needs to be a weekly or even monthly port and no comments. If you have questions GO TO THE Q AND A SECTION! That way we can still get our sweet sweet rom and the douche bags can go flame else where.

I think more of us would step in to help after seeing what happened last time. That being said, the age for getting smartphones is getting lower and lower. There are a lot of little ****s on xda now, so the devs have to have a bit thicker skin IMO.

I got my phone from dsexton!

Dsexton sent me his sgs4g. I got it today. He surprised me by sending me the phone plus an sd card, and extra battery, and external battery charger, usb cable and some earbuds.

dsexton got a gs3, and will be getting another sgs4g soon.
We're looking to expand the devices teamacid roms can be ported to.
I'm getting a couple different devices (sk4g and fascinate, to add to my sgs4g and at&t note), and other teamacid members also have different devices (t989, and some htc phones).
dsexton should post so we can all thank him!

Anything i can do for teamacid and the sgs4g community i will do im very excited about having the s3 and have already tweaked this baby out, i will be doing a lot of releases here soon including sgs4g releases, the sgs4g community will always be where my heart is NO HOMO haha

not your typical "so long G2x" thread

hey guys, just wanted to say thanks for all the help i've received and the knowledge and info i have picked up along the way. the G2x was my first android device and i have spent many a night reading through posts to find out what i needed. i hope i was able to give back a bit here.
i sold my G2x so i could get a Galaxy S III so i will be over in that section of the woods (and the xoom section)
hope the G2x gets CM10 soon. i was going to wait and see when that came out but had to pull the trigger on the S3 before the deal got away from me
again thanks to everyone here who has helped me learn about what these Android devices are all capable of! see ya around!

actually wanted the last nexus phone, but the new one has pretty close specs to the S3 but with no sd card slot and no removable battery, had to go with the S3 it was a no brainer
