Jellybean leak for T-Mobile S3 - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Android Central reporting Jellybean 4.1.1 has leaked for the T-Mobile version S3. This should get interesting!
http://www.androidcentral.com/android-411-jelly-bean-t-mobile-samsung-galaxy-s3-leaks-out

Specifically for the T-Mobile S3 not VZW. But keep your head up, maybe big red will get it soon!

Lol.. If by "soon" you mean next year. VZW is notoriously bad about taking forever to release anything.

you saw that part, but still chose to post in the Verizon Development section?

Will the leak include a major upgrade to the modem? I we can only hope!
Sent from unlocked S3 with CM10 goodness, is it 420 yet?

Agreed.. please either change your thread title or note something in your original post noting it's for the T-Mobile. It more or less has little relevance to our device.
To change the thread title, choose to edit your post, hit the "Go Advanced" button next to the "Save" button, and then change the Title towards the top.

Bah this just gets me more anxious, i like the new touchwiz, and theres no JB roms with it, so i cant wait for a leak for i535 or even a synergy version of stock jb.

What's different on the VZ version other than the radio?

Taken care of and sorry guys for misleading the group.

I hope to god this gets ported over to the VZW model soon! Im rooted and unlocked just because I knew Verizon was going to take their sweet little time getting jb and ive been waiting for a leak like this.

Really so he has jb over TW like in the leak? If so that would be amazing where can I find the link to that? And is everything working properly?

I would assume that the radios and whatnot would have to be spliced in to make sure everything works with our Verizon bands but I'm sure the devs will have it sorted in a day or two.

And throttling, taking good old plans away, "droid" crap, Update's that brake flash player on 4.0 NOT 4.1 and modding the phone so that it asks for wifi 24/7/365/the rest of time.
I was really pissed at them before and now getting better some what. I hope that I can drop my AT&T line some time, but that's less likely now becuase I get very good "4G" or H+ (3-4 out of 4 bars every were there) at were I work with 5Mbs+ DL vs 1-3 bars of verizon "3G" as slow as sprint like 500kbs slow.( That's with both my razr and now my S3 by the way)
Any way flash player better still work or I will likely be going to WP8 for some of flash player to work. ( never did think that was going to happen. LOL)

After using a GNEX for the past 6 months, I am actually loving TW. I was running a TW theme on JB to make it look like an S3 but you know what, it still wasn't an S3. Now I have a TW theme and it actually is an S3 : )

No Official JB Update for Verizon S3 Coming! Woah, that was close!

So Samsung offically announced the US devices getting JB and while reading the article is says it is coming to the Galaxy S3 on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and US Cellular. I was like WHAAAAAAAAT!
Then when you scroll down to the chart, is has the Verzion S3 JB update also listed as coming soon. Man, a typo like that can give someone a heart attack.

Doesn't the faulty grammar and horrible syntax in this article make you slightly skeptical as to how trustworthy it may be? Typically I distrust full page articles that present themselves as one huge run-on sentence.
Also he doesn't cite any sources, and his other articles cover a huge range of products from cell phones to cars, making it hard to believe he has the inside track on any industry, and just roams around the surface discussing whatever he feels like.
The fact that none of his articles have generated any comments should tell you how seriously his articles are taken.
Android Authority says the same... what a shame, best to start using one if the many jb ROMs we have, of course a vzw leak would be nice too.

I was with Sprint before Verizon and I thought Sprint was bad at releasing updates, so it seems each carrier is bad at releasing updates. Glad there's custom ROMs.

How does "in the coming months" and them letting carriers announce dates on their own turn into 2013?

This is why we want the "Official" because all those bugs and quirks that are not working properly can be hammered out. I agree that Stock blows, but stock source is the key. Especially if we get the kernel source. Then all will be well with out custom ROMs/Kernels.
FWIW, this was posted on the TMo SGS3 side from engadget:
Samsung will update US Galaxy S III devices to Jelly Bean 'in the coming months'. Again, no time lines, just more carrier dependency.

LiquidSmooth for a fact, i say that because its been my daily driver the past couple weeks and i haven't had a single issue with it. Granted its AOSP and some people may not like that. But gps, bluetooth, nfc, data, wifi, etc all work
While I agree that most of us root and don't really need to wait for a carrier to release an update I can't stand when people say that. We shouldn't need to do that. These damn carriers and OEMs should be supporting their devices, that we spend our hard earned money on, in a better manner.

My CM experience was limited to my previous phone, OG Epic on Sprint. Thanks, but no thanks - staying with TW, as I like my phone as problem free as possible (app bug issues in Android are bad enough). Before someone starts saying that their CM in GS3 runs perfectly - it has never been my own experience. I can live with slightly worse battery life provided everything else works as intended.

Lmao, by the time VZW released ICS for the HTC Thunderbolt, it was already outdated due to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and 4.2.2. I seriously wonder how much money VZW loses by spending too much time doing quality testing on their updates.
On the other hand, I hope Samsung can leverage their bargaining power and "push" Verizon to get the software released. Then again...Samsung's not in any hurry since they'd rather users go and buy the S4 if they want newer software.
