Has any one received the jelly bean ota?
Doubt it, if anyone has he would let the board know real fast I assume.
Also doubt it since there is no JB OTA yet for our device. This is how rumors get started and persist. The update was for the TF300, not the Infinity. Engadget reported that it looked like the 700 update would be coming soon, and somehow this became that it is out.
So, it is probably coming, and when it does it will most likely be pretty obvious by the threads.

i actually have checked out that source, both here and in the other thread where it is referenced. First there is no attribution or source, and if you read the content it is just a very loosely edited version of the engadget post from a couple of days ago that talked about the fact that it is out for the 300 and should be out soon for the 700.
Be sure to check posts like that for a reference to a legitimate source such as ASUS or one of the well-known news services.

Why is it "not fair"? The One S was released on April 25th, almost 2 weeks before the One X was released. Not to mention they pushed it back from tomorrow to June 4th so it's still possible we could still get an update first.

I am "chill". I was just asking a question and pointing out facts. You're the one that started a thread about it. Like we need another thread asking about a minor maintenance update.

Actually, he's right. Who cares about the One S? We're on the One X forum.
Hi, to avoid any confusion, lets keep all OTA talk in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1642476

Is there anyone that would like to start a project to port cyanogenmod to the infinity? I am probably going to give it a shot, but I would love some help.

Probably something to ask in the development forum. I think one of the managers of CyanogenMod actually got one of these things and they're planning on fully supporting it.

No problems there . It is just annoying how upset some people get over these things. I will still mess with it. I am starting with compiling for my phone since I don't have to unlock it and know the hardware is working.
So back to the actual topic. Would it be easiest to base cm10 off of the one for the tf201 and use the kernel from asus for the tf700? Or would that not work?

That's my plan. We will have to mess around with the nvidia prop files to see what works best. Unfortunately, I can't unlock my TF700 atm due to the bug that many others are experiencing. So, I can't do much until that is fixed.

Too bad, sorry for that .I can't wait to see a CM on the Infinity and this damn bug or whatever it is is keeping us from have it.I've seen a lot of guys in the TF300T forum having the same issue (my wife's tf300t unlocked just fine and hope my tf700 will do it too) and some said that doing a factory restor and starting the tablet without any account did the trick, others said that doesn't worked for them and who tried to contact Asus for this got this answer " they do not support any issues that customers are having with the unlock tool" .Sandly seems that the only way for now is to ask a replacement because the device doesn't receive OTA updates (also it seems that who is affected by the bootloader unlock also doesn't receive OTAs) and hope you will get a new one that works.

It's still a secret.
Hope it's before 12\21\2012 tho.
I don't think there is any news regarding the JB update for the tf700. To me, this is actually a good news, because ASUS can take time to ensure that the update works properly. After reading all the complaints after the JB update for the tf300 (it breaks so many things on the tf300), I can only thank God for not having this kind of early update on my tf700. For now, I am very happy with ICS and don't mind waiting, especially when my tf700 is already very good.

Just saw that Sprint released their S III JB update. Sort of disappointed by Verizon. Do we have any hope for this update coming out for the Verizon variant this year?

You'd need a Verizon JB rom for the base if I'm not mistaken? I thought that was more for changing between different ICS-modded roms (although I could be wrong there).
Heres to December? Just spam Verizon with "Where's the Beans".

Yeah, because Verizon really cares how many threads we create on XDA about the update. You are basically spamming your own boards.

Well when sprints leak hit it did help us a little we got svdo working. The Rom itself was rather buggy but it got fixed. This might be more stable than T-Mobile leaks but still not as good as the real deal.
Hell I don't even care really about an OTA really, I just want a leak at least! I'm missing some of the JB features from my GNex.
Verizon is really irritating me, especially because I've been holding out on installing Wallet due to the isis release that were not even getting! Give us our jb, and release the restrictions on wallet. Wtf
I hope someone can port it today!!!!!!
I just want Google now. Like official, everything working flawlessly Google now. I tried it on CM10 and loved it

You don't.
There are Verizon TW-JB roms that mix the Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile leaks.

Maybe by comunity. Officialy seriously no.
I think ASUS will deliver. The TF300 is already very well equipped (hardware-wise) to run any android 4.x, especially the lighter 4.4. I am really looking forward to it.

It definitely needs something to address the performance problems. Mine is slow when it boots, and unusable when it is updating apps from the Play Store. It sounds like Kit Kat may improve performance. If so, I can see why they may go to the effort.
