Hello XDA people,
I flash jelly bean 4.1 on htc one x and after reboot system when I boot my phone now, it's stuck at the loading part (this animation with htc quietly brilliant ). The only thing I can do is get it in the Bootloader screen but it wont boot anymore.
Is there someone out here that can tell me how to fix this. I don't care if I have to completely wipe my phone, I just want it to work again
Cheers,
Download a RUU for your device and get phone in bootloader and just follow instructions.
Or
take the boot.img out of the ROM ( take it to the fastboot folder) , put htc in fastboot mode, open fastboot on pc ( command window), connect phone, then type in: fastboot boot boot.img and i think that should work
the same appered on my HTC EVO 3D.....if i help hit thanks

Check out fipsibs tutorial and learn to do it "properly" with fastboot (which is what the script you're using does anyway) and it'll be easier to see what's going on. Plus after you set it up once you're not depending on someone to make scripts fot you and can also use ADB and other fastboot commands http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1752270
[Tutorial] How to flash a new boot.img via Fastboot
i know the tutorial .... its hanging here:
C:\Users\User\One_S_All-In-One_Kit_v1.1\Data>fastboot flash boot boot.img
sending 'boot' (6202 KB)...
And nothing is happen now. I see the green statusbar in the right corner ... but it dont fills up
hello in
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658158
you can find stock boot.img with self flash under the
LeeDrOiD One Supreme V2.0.0 boot.img (Self flash)
there you have it, small letters. Try this
How do you mean you can see the status bar on the phone? It should be started in bootloader mode then select fastboot. I guess you did this or fastboot should give you an error... Do you get your serial number from "fastboot devices"? If so fastboot is OK, then I'd check md5sum of the boot.img. You're not trying to flash boot image for S4 device to an S3 right?
yeah i could see my device with fastboot devices. Its there ...
I can see a green status bar at flashing the rom, in the right upon corner at the telefon screen.
But the status does nothing there until i disconnect the cable after 10 or more minutes ...
I try to flash the MoDaCo.one for the HTC One S Rom ... my CPu has 1512 mhz what means i have a S4 right ?
I got no failure ... only a freeze in the progressbar ... it seems that the fastbook is unable to put the file to the mobile ... ?!
I was have the same problem for me work LeeDroid self flash but if i good remember i first flash it stock recovery via One_V_All-In-One_Kit_v1.0 it
must be the 1.0 version
Hmmm where i can get the stock HTC recovery ?
Is there a connection between the recovery and the bootloader ?
In this version 1.0 there you have stock recovery, about connection with bootloader i dont know its just works for me

Yea your right ! My bootloader is unlocked too i see now ...
What you mean with programm 1.0 version exactly ?!
One_S_All-In-One_Kit version 1.0 i have it if you wont it in my case this green line on the corner was stoping before end, and then stops i was waiting one time 20 min and nothing after that i was traying everything and this program One_S_All-In-One_Kit version 1.0 hi push this stock recovery , i was see that this green line go to the end and magic 100%, i was have stock recovery and after this i try flash boot.img and works on first time before i was trying flash my boot maybe 30 times
There is no way to S-off the One S yet and being S-on won't prevent you from fastboot flashing a boot image. The recovery is a separate basic OS loaded from its own partition instead of your regular ROM, this happens after the bootloader mode so this has nothing to do with fastboot. What is the boot.img for, which ROM? Did you check the md5sum? Also you could try the earlier version of the all in one kit I guess, or redownload the one you got if you don't want to install the Android SDK.
Ok the solution was simply to use another pc ... Even the fastboot founds my One S i cant put the boot img to it.
With my notebook i works instantlly ... no idea but it works now
for me it helped to change the USB port I connected the device. The thing is it should be connected to a primary USB, not a HUB!
I have no attempted to root a phone since the OG droid...
Anyways, I went ahead and went thru Hasoon2000's HTC Sensation 4G all-In-One Kit.
Loaded the CM10 zip file and the GAPPS to the root of my SD Card.
Loaded into Team Win Recovery v2.2.0
Wiped all
Installed the cm-10-20120818-bruce2728-pyramid.zip
rebooted and im stuck at the splash screen for CM10.
I have attempted to reinstal and reboot multiple times with no luck, i am at a loss.
Thank you.
more info:
My phone is not S-off (i understand that you can still root this way)
I have also tried with 4EXT....
Getting same result.
I have a feeling its the lack of S-off that i am missing a step of some sort.
Many people who have tried with out being s off have had problems try doing it and see if it works I am s off and have not had an issue flashing also make sure your on 3.33 or 3.32 fw

I think you are S-ON so kindly read the guide about flashing ROM's with S-ON
You need to extract the boot.IMG from the rom and copy it to the same folder that has your fastboot driver and close it then you need boot your device into bootloader and connect the USB cable and then hit the power button you should now be in fast boot next on your pc open cmd and type your commands for example cd c:\rootevo3dnew press enter and I would type fastboot flash boot boot.IMG now press enter this will flash your boot.IMG and last but Knott least you will type fastboot reboot press enter and watch the magic enjoy oh buy the way your s on so this is why it want boot so this is how its done when your s on and also once you get it booted you should really think about flashing 4ext custom recovery and enable smart flash its designed for those that are s on good luck

Ok, I've also tried to flash the twrp .img file using the command
fastboot flash recovery ****.img
this did nothing as well
when I choose the recovery option from the bootloader menu it goes immediately to the white htc screen with the "this build is for ...." stuff
Any ideas ?
Is the phone an evita or endevour? (quad core or dual core). If it is an evita, you may have a little bigger problem due to that endeavor cwm flash.

That development purposes only is normal if you unlock using the super-cid...there is nothing you can do about that...mine has it as well.

Hi Mike
I've no problem with the writing on it if I could get it to recovery or to load ICS past this screen I would be very happy
Any ideas as to how I would get past this ? it seems to be in some sort of bootloop or bootcrash
You flashed the cwm recovery for the endeavor quad-core...........
Download this twrp recovery,
http://db.tt/sXmdepmX
Stick it in your adb/fastboot folder
Boot phone into your bootloader, make sure it says fastboot USB
From cmd prompt type
fastboot devices
Make sure it device serial# shows up
Now type-
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
Should get-
Sending
Writing
Ok
Now resend the same command by pressing up arrow, then enter.
Should get the same readout
Now on the phone, navigate to the recovery option and select it.....you should have twrp now.........and don't flash endeavor device ANYTHINGS anymore:beer:

I still have a problem that the phone will not boot past the HTC screen that has the "this build is for development purposes..."
It reboots and reboots but never goes past this screen
Do I need a ROM as well ?

Yes.. You need a rom.
Dl it on your pc, boot into twrp and mount the sd to transfer it.
qwertyaas
Very much appreciate your responses
ok, I have moved the cm10 evita jellybean ROM over and flashed it - all seemed to go successfully
Used TWRP to factory reset beforehand
Used TWRP to turn the phone off
Pressed the phone button to turn the phone on
Phones boots immediately to white HTC splash screen with the "this build is for development purposes..." and reboots after about 10 seconds, and reboots and reboots
Never gets past this point
Any ideas ?
Your probably on hboot 1.14, so....the cm10 Rom.zip, on your pc, unzip it and you will see a boot.img, put the boot.img in your adb fastboot folder, boot phone into bootloader....cmd prompt type
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Do it a second time for good measure, then type
fastboot reboot
Should be good

Hey i know this is super mega delayed. but i need that twrp recovery. the link above is no doubt broken now. thanks
I recently bought a HTC One XL 4G from the Telstra Shop. I unlocked the bootloader successfully through the HTC DEV website. Downloaded Hasoons 2000 HTC One X All in one kit and flashed the kernal with stock 2.6.39.4. The phone rebooted, displaying the message 'this mode is for development purposes...' Phone is running image version 2.40.841.4, HBOOT 1.14.0002. Radio 0.20os.32.09.15. EVITA S-ON.
What I can do: I can boot into recovery mode. The device in windows is displayed as 'my HTC Phone'. I can send Fastboot commands through the CMD window to relock bootloader, restart, clear cache etc.
What I can't do: The factory reset, clear storage, recovery etc when pressed reset the phone back to the ''this mode is for development purposes...' message. I have tried to use an ROM Ruu updater utility to reset back to stock but cannot find the right version for 2.40.841.4. I have downloaded a Stock_Root ODEX 2.40.841.4 that matches, however not sure how to install onto phone.
Obviously I am an extreme noob, however there does not seem to be many resources for the HTC One XL roms. Really run down with this process, don't seem to be making any headway. Should I send this back to Telstra ?
Please Help !!!!!
Connect to PC, install twrp recovery, boot into recovery, download and place flashable stock kernel or any ROM on your device ( you can mount sd card through recovery ).
You can also just download and flash kernel ( boot.img ) using below command while you have your phone in fastboot USB mode connected to PC
fastboot flash boot boot.img

Thanks for the reply, appreciate your time. I connected to PC, successfully flashed 'openrecovery-twrp-2.3.1.0-evita'. Rebooted phone, stuck in loop still resets to 'this build is for development..' then switch off, then switches on again.
How do I boot into recovery ? ...the next step ?
power off -- then hold power + volume down - It will go to fastboot - from there you can go to recovery

Thanks so much. I am back in business.
My friend is attempting to develop for android and I let him borrow my (rooted) HTC One X as I have an HTC One. He's a super smart comp sci guy but somehow he booted into my recovery (TWRP) (attempting to wipe the data) and wiped the phone...completely...including the OS rom and the recovery.
It's in a continous bootloop now, so I attempted to flash TWRP again through fastboot but in the command prompt I get that error:
FAILED (remote: not allowed)
I had this error when I messed up my HTC One when I was rooting it (apparently I have a history of f'ing up my phones lol I learn from experience though) but I don't remember how I resolved it
This is the access I have to my HTC One X:
S-Off
Bootloader Unlocked
Can access Bootloader and access fastboot
Phone is recognized in Fastboot USB
I know if I could just somehow get a recovery on the phone I could fix this but I can't.
Any help would be much appreciated
What response do you get for the command:
fastboot devices
Worst case, you can RUU. But I suspect you can get fastboot working again, and just flash TWRP.
Firstly, do you have the HTC One X (Endeavoru) or the HTC One XL / AT&T One X (Evita)?
Secondly, I'm pretty sure it's impossible to delete TWRP from TWRP.
What are your current bootloader details?
Sent from my Evita
Go to your bootloader. Then go to recovery. TWRP will be there.
Go to wipe and click wipe sd card again, and connect it to your computer
Use adb push command to push a ROM (and gapps if AOSP) to your sdcard root folder and flash it
