Does anyone know if it is possible to natively use my CAC reader on my Xoom. I need it to access some .mil sites that require CAC PKI login.
I also have linux (from chroot images) so if it might be possible that way somehow I would be willing to do that also.

I've been searching and reading and I can't seem to find which Android wifi tether works best for our phone.
I went to google and it doesn't say galaxy S 4g so I'm not sure which apk download is safe to use on our phone. I know our phone is different from the vibrant.
Does anyone know which version works best on our phone?
What are you using and how do you rate it?
Thank you for your time and input.

I use easy teather But its not in the market anymore. It doesnt allow u to change Nat type setting. it is a real drag cause I got the phone for to use on my xbox360 so I could play online. But also there are various other apps in the market. just search and u will find and dont forget to check what others have to say about the app you intend on downloading. Some suck some dont.

it actually works fantastic. its kinda hidden though so dont be embarrased. Do you know how to find it?
Sorry to shove this question in here but since this seems like the right topic. Is there an app that will allow access to NAT(network address translation) settings? As usual samaung nor t-mobile could be of any help. I was told rooting would get me the access I need to deal with such a matter. Was this b.s. or is there a way?

Unfortunately your about where I'm at. I can play live on certain games but can't download any content. But it works great for when I watch Netflix, and that's what I use it for.

There is non app that can "hack" or "crack" an WiFi ap, yet.
Although as the ^^ person suggested, there is an app that has the ordinary pw for many routers
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
As someone who has hacked both WEP and WPA passwords I can tell you that this is almost impossible on the Android platform. To hack a router you must first put your wireless nic into a promesquios (dammit spelling) mode and then set it to receive packets. Many wireless nics do not support this mode and it would require the dev to develop an app that would recognize the phone, recognize the wifi chip (wireless nic), and then set it to catch packets. I say there is less than a 1% there will be an app that could do this.
The only way I could see this EVER working is if we can boot into a specialized backtrack 5 that can work on our phones. That would require a lot of work though. It took a crazy amount of genius to get Unbuntu running.

Don't forget that the wireless chip mist first support promiousics mode.
And I don't think there's many device chips that gonn support it.
Also think of the battery drain that it would cause. And it might would take a really long time.

Hey any one know about an app that i could leave my phone somewhere and watch the camera from my tablet or someting similar??
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
Try ipwebcam. I used to use it on my phone to use as a webcam, and you can view the stream online which I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do with your tablet.
I'm sure there are other webcam apps out there also. I seem to remember using one that streamed the camera over wifi but I can't remember the name of it.

Hi all,
I'm wondering if there is an App that will give me the option of locking my device with 2 different PINs. 1st PIN is the real-deal and will activate my device, tbe second PIN is a self-destruct PIN. So if someone tries to mug me or force my PIN from me I can give them the 'special' PIN, which will nuke my device & keep my identity safe?
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Sent from my GT-N5120 using xda app-developers app
What's the point? Wouldn't erasing the device just make the person who's mugging you more irritated and likely to hit you in the face? Besides, as long as your phone actually is locked he won't get anywhere, but if you wipe it he gets a 'fresh out of the box' phone instantly.

i'm surprised muggers and thieves have yet to learn about recovery mode theres that boeing phone that is supposed to nuke itself when into the wrong hands? http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/02/27/us-boeing-phone-idUSBREA1Q04K20140227
It's amazing how many of us tech folks like asking extra questions rather than saying, 'hmm dunno' or 'yep try this'. I guess thats why business people and those in marketing hate having meeting with I.T guys.

Oh by the way, I've just settled for SD card & device encryption & cloud backups for redundancy (I have 2 TB of cloud storage, might as well use it)

I was going to suggest device encryption as well. Faster device wiping is a benefit too.
I think no way..

What I want, essentially, is to have something similar to iOS's AirPlay. I want to be able to see what appears on my tablet's screen on my computer screen. For anyone wondering, it's so I can record/livestream my tablet using OBS (Open Broadcaster Software). The device is rooted and I would prefer if the service/app I use is free/not subscription based. Even if quality isn't the best, I'm willing to check it out.
Tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 (SM-T530)
Thank you for your help

It works fairly well. Quality is a bit low for my taste. Do you know of any other programs? I would prefer if the stream/mirroring was local.
