CM9/10 for Arm9 w/rt2870 - Miscellaneous Android Development

Is there a port for any device with the ARM9 that uses the rt2870 for WIFI? I have a device that "sort of" supports ICS but it doesn't support wifi and I don't know enough to compile the driver myself. Any help would be appreciated.

Sidekick 4g Wireless Driver / Model

Forgive me if this is not the correct 'area' to post to. I can't seem to find anything at all in regards to what I need/want. Basically, I've got BackTrack5 running on my Sidekick 4g, but the current wireless driver that's installed on the phone does not support monitor mode / packet injection. I was under the impression that most new devices would have an updated driver for the wireless device that would in fact support this. I can't seem to dig up any information on the web or my phone itself to tell me what hardware device it's using. Does anyone know what driver it's using or perhaps know where to get an updated driver package so I can try to get this working? Has anyone out there put BT5 ARM on their Sidekick?

USB Ethernet Dongle based on DM9601 Chipset

Hello everyone,
clotai on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1418591&page=4 was kind enough to create a module which puts drivers on the various ROM builds that will allow one to use a DM9601 chipset based usb to ethernet dongle. This allows you to effectively use the xoom tablet without wifi.
What I am wondering, if some kind soul can list few usb ethernet dongles (manufacturer names) that are based on this chipset? I have searched all over the net and cannot find any that mention what chipset they are based on.
Thanks very much!

USB Touchscreen Driver Android

Hi,
I'm about to buy the ODROID-X from hardkernel.com which will run Android 4.0.
Now I'm searching for a Touchscreen for the device and I'd like to connect it via USB.
Is this possible with android? I guess I do need a specific driver for that, right?
I found a touchscreen with an Ideacom MODEL UTS6680 chip and there are also
drivers for Linux.
Is there a way to adapt them to Android?
Does anybody know another touchscreen that runs on Android?
Thanks!
Hans

Uinput.ko needed for A13 device

Hi all,
I need some help and hope that somebody can help me
So 'm working a no budget home security camera (and some server tasks) for myself. It is based on an Android device without touchscreen. For this, i need to remote control the device via WiFi. At this point i have stuck, i don't have uinput.ko in my kernel, and neither a module, so there isn't any VNC servers working, none of them accept mouse clicks or keyboard input. Teamviewer is the only renote control what works, but it cannot do unattended connecting. Screencast or any USB solution is not so good for this, but they are working.
So i need a uinput.ko for my architecture, and i cannot find on the whole internet. Can anybody send me one, or compile one?
The device has Allwinner A13 CPU, Android 4.2.2, rooted, kernel is 3.0.8+ . (I have tried uinput.ko's for 3.0.8+, but they are with a different symbol table... Vermagic matches, but the module doesn't work.)
I will be very thankful when somebody can help me. Thanks in advance

AR6004 WiFi devices and firmware

Hi,
I am investigating a project using the Alcatel Y855 MiFi device, and want to be able to use the device in station mode, rather than the default AP mode.
The WiFi chipset in this devices is the Qualcomm / Atheros AR6004.
This is a relatively open device (allows direct SSH access!), which makes modding the OS build on it easy.
However (presumably because it is a MiFi) the WiFi chipset on it appears to be set up in a way that only allows it to run properly in AP mode - in Station mode, the performance seems to be limited to a very low rate (looks like forced to 802.11b, it will never sync above 11Mbit/s)
So my specific question is whether anyone has tried to use this device in station mode, and had any success?
A more general question is whether anyone has any experiences of any other devices that are based around this WiFi chipset, and therefore can give any pointers to sources of the drivers and firmware files (that live in /lib/firmware/ath6k/AR6004/hw3.0) that are designed for devices using the chipset that run in station mode.
Thanks in advance for any advice / experiences!
Michael
