I have a rule set up for my Outlook Exchange work email to automatically forward to my Gmail. On my Android Razr Maxx, (still on ICS) I see the meeting details, View and Save. When I View, I get the window to Accept (Checkmark) or Decline (X) the meeting.
On my TF300T, I see the same thing, but instead of the Accept option, I get messed up text in my Dropbox file???
Anybody know how to fix the meeting invite on this?

Hey all,
I'm pretty satisfied with my Touch Pro and there is a small point Maybe someone here knows the answer...
I use activesync on the phone and Windows Mobile Device Center on my desktop, to sync everything except e-mail because I have a full email bundle with my telco so I poll mail on my phone as well as on my desktop, leaving email on the server. That way I'm always aware of email I receive.
Now, when I put an appointment in my calendar on my phone and I invite someone to that appointment, it wants to send that person an email. The problem is that it tries to do that via the Outlook E-Mail account which I don't have and the messages just stay in the Outlook E-Mail outbox forever.
I can't find any setting on my phone, to change the default account used to send these emails.
Does anyone here know how to get this working the way I want?
Grtz,
Patrick
Go to calendar -> tools -> options
Go to the appointments tab and select your desired account under 'Send meeting requests via'
Thanks, it turns out to be a very simply solution

You guys where so good at helping me before I was hoping you could try again!
I have been searching for the way to fix this and the best I seem to be able to come up with on here is the Moblie2web site but this doesnt do what my wife wants (or atleast for free!)
My wife had a Curve on this I would send her my calendar and updates as I fly around this vast country of ours. She would update me on when she and the kids would be home or not. Our calendars always in syn both on the laptops and the devices (me through a blackberry server from work, her by syncing to the device and just having the calendar on the device send attendees notifications) now the atendees notifications on her Fuze go into the outlook outbox and since she does email in real time not by syncing the device the invitation sits in the outbox. Is there a way to make this invitation be sent out in the mail as it was on the Curve?
Shareo
Maybe Shareo would work for you, I use it with my wife cause she doesnt sync to often but atleast it in her outlook. The company has multiple software types and for the price its not bad at all
http://www.shareo.com
I do not think this will help as she wants to send me the invite right away off her mobile and this will still go into her outlook outbox rather then the mail outbox on her mobile device (the one thats sends out her email from the device.) Is there a away to just my the invites go to the correct outbox?
I hope I am reading this right.
You want to send attendees notifications via the TP? The best way I think of is to set a pop email account on TP, then in Calendar options set send notifications via that pop account.
You could try blackberry connect software and use your blackberry option if you have not cancelled you blackberry data plan yet?
I did cancel and went to the 50 data plan
I dont know what TP is ;(
See I set up her email account from our ISP
email works fine
on BB she was able to open caalendar and invite me
the invite would be auto mail through ISP email setup on bb
now the invite goes into the "Outlook Outbox" found by going to the ISP inbox then going down to the Outlook section... It sounds confusing even to me!
I probably asked this question already - one more (rather last) attempt.
I have HTC Touch Pro/ROMeOS2 1.70.3b/AT&T in Chicago. I installed BBConnect (www.sems.org) and connected to my corporate exchange server. I am able to get emails, calendar, notes, address book all properly synced and works great.
However, I am not able to see the preview of any email on my TouchFlo main screen. It shows the sender and in the body I only see "Click to view message". If I click it takes me to the email to show the whole email. One big feature of Touch Pro is to give you the preview of the mail in the mainscreen, right?
Can anyone help me on this??
Thanks
Mahesh
The absence of a Twitter app that supports push notifications annoyed me for quite some time now. There is no news or whatsoever on when this function might arrive for Android, so maybe we're waiting for a thing that may never happen or only in the distant future. My Twitter app polls each 10 minutes for new messages, which is draining the battery. Setting it to a larger interval means that it takes more time before you can answer your DM's or @mentions.
So when I yesterday recieved a mail from Twitter when I got an @mention, I got the feeling that I could do something with that. I use a Gmail account for my Twitter account, so mails from Twitter will be pushed in seconds to my Gmail account. But my Gmail is always on silent, no sound, no vibration, because I recieve to many mails to allow that. I had to find another option to alert me for Twitter mails.
I made a second Gmail account, the naming is arbitrary ofcourse, in my case [email protected]. Add that address to the Gmail App on your phone (open Gmail app, go to Menu>Accounts). Now you have two accounts in the Gmail app, you can switch by pressing the name of the account in the upper right corner of the Gmail app.
For both accounts you can set different sound/vibrate profiles when you recieve new mail. My primary account is on silent and I set the second account (which recieves only mails from Twitter) is set to always vibrate. You find the settings under Menu>More>Settings in the Gmail app. Make sure the second account is is set to synchronise automatically!
So far the things that have to be done on the phone. Now you need to make a filter in Gmail on the website. Go to the website, log in with your primary account. Now click in the upper right corner on the Settings icon, click on Mail Settings. Now you need to add the mail address you just made to Forwarding, so in my case I add [email protected]. Now you will recieve a code on that mail address which you have to enter in you primary account . Don't forward any mails yet, otherwise you recieve all mail of your primary account on your new account!
Now you have set up a forwarding address. The last step you need to take is set up a filter rule in your primary account. Again go to Mail Settings, now go to Filters. Add a filter that filters all mails from @postmaster.twitter.com and forward them to the new Gmail address, in my case [email protected].
Now all is set up and you will recieve a (almost) instant notification when you are mentioned at Twitter or when you get a DM.
(ps. the last steps with forwarding and filter rules can by avoided if you change your email address in your Twitter account to the newly made Gmail address, but I didn't want to change that myself.)
The only problem seems to be that Twitter doesn't always send emails when you get a DM/mention...
When I receive a meeting invite via MS Exchange the meeting details are not displayed (date, time, location). All I see is who sent the request and the message they typed in the body of the invite. Anybody else facing this problem with the default calendar or have a solution?
Yes! I have tried touchdown but its a bit expensive to pay just for this functionality since all the other functionalities work out of the box on the default app.
I have a ticket opened to android at http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=15666.
