This was an app my wife used on her moment to flash the lights across the bottom. I could have sworn that I tried it when i first bought my evo and it didn't work. Well I tried again today and tada!
The reason behind needing it is that I can't see the led from across the room even with the wimax notifier. Now it gets my attention.
I have not tested the affect on battery yet. Or what roms it works with. Im on evokings shift need for speed rom now and it works. Please test and feedback.

I just tested it on my wifes shift rooted with a stock rom and it works. sooo thats
2.3.3 shift rom on the evo (Evokings need for speed and misfits speedy)
2.1 shift rom on the shift
CM7 on the Shift
Evervolv on The Shift
CM7 evo but I couldn't clear them. They keep blinking
Fresh 3.5 (closest thing to stock on my SD)

Unable to install on cm7. I'm sure it needs updated to gb

I don't think its gingerbread related. The shift rom is 2.3.3. Try sending yourself a text but make sure you have the screen off or the box checked for screen on. Also cup your hands around the keys if its bright out as they are not bright. I have mine set to flash and thought it didn't work just now. Also have mine set to timeout after 1 hour.

I just tried it out on misfits speedy odex rom and it works ... thx for this!

Just installed this on mik froyo and working with these specific settings that I changed: 2 second intervals, keep screen on checked, uncheck notification. Everything else I kept default. Thanks for the find! Will repost if I find bad battery life.

it wont install. When i try to install with andro zip i get this message " Parse error there is a problem parsing the package."..... Any idea?

Did you try the one i posted or the one from the SDX forum? I think the links are bad from the other forum. Its an old app.

This app has been un supported for a while. maybe one of the fine devs here could make that happen. I looked into reverse engineering last night but my eyes kinda glazed over. way over my head.

Blood and Glory on Rooted EVO

Has anyone gotten the game Blood and Glory by Glu Mobile to work on their rooted Evo?

Glu Mobile support is claiming that they do not support Rooted devices (which is pretty lame if you ask me) but I'm wondering if there is some technical reason they're doing this.

It is working just fine for me on my rooted evo with Cyanogen nightly 256.

Never knew there was an issue... I play Blood and Glory every so often but its always worked on whatever ROM that I flashed and played it on.

Works on mine rooted eco 4g

I was using the MikG roms as well when it wasn't working. I switched to CM7 and works like a charm.
It's interesting for sure.

Was working fine on cm7 switched to SOS and the game no longer worked.

Thanks for this thread. Didn't know the game existed, d/l'd it yesterday and it's great. Btw, rooted & running Xplod rls3. Seems to play better on Savaged Zen 2.2.1, than Tiamat 3.3.7

didn't know it didn't work on rooted evo... used it with mikg v2.59 stock and freedom kernel also cyanogen 7.1 works way better and smoother on cyanogen tho... but i love sense

Not working on mine. Running Decks ICS p8. Keeps switching from loading screen to preparing.
Could just be cause its pre alpha. But thought I would try. A few other games seem to be fine though.

Anyways works on CM7 though.

I'm on icsmod7, game works but I'm not paying for coins or weapons, same as gamekoft nfl 2012, to use special plays u gotta buy coins.. they really trying to squeeze money outta you now.... not paying for that

Go to manage apps and move to sd card manually. Didn't work for me either until I did this.

Switched back to CM7 stable and runs fine.

Also can't get it to load on Decks alpha 1 4.0.3

I could only play it on the stock rom... doesn't load on MikG or SOS....not sure why

Build.prop successfully changed! Market is fully working now. Big thanks to kushdeck. I used several lines in the build.prop from his GB rom for the fix.
How to remove Chinese carrier name:
Please download attachment, unzip it, and move the file (eri.xml) to your /data folder. Then reboot. If you want, you can edit the file and replace "Sprint" with whatever text you like.
Flash Update.zip
Reboot into recovery and wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache. Flash update.zip and reboot.

Notes
1. For some reason the lockscreen always shows "No Service". No worries, as phone and 3g data work.
2. If you use DX BatteryBooster, it will pop up a notification every time your data transmits. When this happens, click on the notification and under "Packet Data" uncheck "Notify when data transmits."
3. DX BatteryBooster has a cool feature that tells you how many minutes it will take to fully charge your phone when you plug it in.
4. Turn off auto-brightness in display settings, and use manual brightness.
5. Uncheck "Disable LED" in Display settings.
6. In DX BatteryBooster, under battery tab click on "smart" and turn on "Auto Underclocking". This will underclock your cpu when your screen is locked and preserve battery life.

The build.prop needs to be modified so that the phone is recognized as sprint evo and not china telecom evo. This affects some apps not being found in the market, for instance, google maps, as China does not allow it. I have titanium backup, so I was able to restore all apps not found in market.
I am working on modifying the build.prop right now. Stay tuned.

Thanks for the tip,im working on a port also,this could be the reason for fc's on the home screen.

You should get this moved to the Dev section and grab PSP and see how for he's gotten, too.
I think this could be the best thing to hit the Evo yet, once it's fully mod'd and stable.

I wasn't sure this could be in the dev section, since I didn't develop or port this rom. If you can get it moved, that would be greatly appreciated (I'm scared to talk to the moderators, lol).

I'll wait for the build.prop fix, but thanks for posting this! Looks good.

4g is not working but everything else is working fine. The clock with the weather only has cities in China. Some apps are in Chinese but no big deal.

I was actually responding to a previous post about what was not working and I thought I had "quoted" what he had asked. Guess not.
So far, this rom has been rock solid which no issues. I use the eri.xml hack found at miui.us forum(can't post link) to get rid of the Chinese carrier information.

I would really love to see an AOKP version based on Kangs rom. I am in love with the Rom Control settings, they totally make or break a rom for me, personally. (For ICS anyway.)

Hows the launchers I just went with the apex launcher. I know there is some other ones.. But I used to have the nova one it was alright..Apex seems to be just fine..

Does this have huge ass wakelock issues like juice defender does? Seems pretty neato if it doesn't!

O also from lordclocken rom his ICS kernels. I flash the CFS v9.4.1 just testing to see any difference with the Bfs I usually go with CFS for usage and battery

He is most likely on an ICS build which does not have that function. It opens the browser, I tried today to change the function in ICS Sense but the only change I made was to make it TAB rather than browser. But there are many threads around here to explain this, maybe one could go at it with a text editor to achieve what they want?

Wish I knew what functions they changed the keys to but TAB suites me better because I don't use the www/com function at all

I second the request in this thread, only less bitterly.
I became a little hooked on that function I guess! I'd also love to turn the slide out keyboard's back key to a keypress delete or something and a long press back so I don't lose XDA posts once in a while!
