And often there are some lags during games (not a huge game, just diner city) and apex launcher
Things doesn't go smoothly and it feels like taking 1or2 secs to response, something even stunned
Therefore i am looking for improvements, however i dont know very well on the systems files so that i want to make sure before i take actions.
Coz i am pretty worry on bricked x_x
Hope you guys understand what I am saying and thanks for the help!

It seems like the most safe/non-invasive way to improve performance is to remove/disable ASUS bloatware/downloaded apps that run in the background and slow down your system/use up your ram. Check the various sections of this forum for lists of what's safe to remove/disable.
If you decide to unlock and flash a custom recovery (I would recommend TWRP--don't try CWM from Rom Manager...please!) and rom, the Zeus Rom v3.0 is great and v4.0 should be coming soon. There is also another stock based rom that looks quite good. These roms have removed a lot of bloatware, have instituted a number of system tweaks that have improved my TF700 performance quite a bit over a complete stock ICS experience.

To add to okantomi....
Please don't jump into unlocking right away until you have read up on it Fully. It's best to wait till after your return period has expired so you don't end up returning an unlocked tablet that could possibly be recirculated or keep you from returning/getting your money back because you voided your warranty.

Myself,, I'm waiting on Jelly Bean before I even think of unlocking. There are ROM'S that LOOK like JB, but it's not the actual OS

thanks the replies
ya, i am not planning to unlock and install custom recovery in this stage
The reason that I rooted my tf700 is mainly for adblock, backup and recovery apps data to other devices and something like that
also, freeze those stock apps within asus which doesnt useful to me

thanks for the wallpapers! the sdk wont download for me :'( can you see if there is a tablet ui?
Ya there are some tablet notification specific things but the designation for when to go to tablet/phone ui's are different. and the way you access it seems to be with a gesture rather than pressing on the clock

Only if you convert it to a system disk. Its usefull for what i am doing but if you need the emulator its easier just to wait and download it directly. The demands pretty high right now so thats probably why it is slow

Do I really want to Root? (GT-N8013EA)

Doesn't seem like there is any real advantage of rooting my Note 10.1...
I got the og Evo 4G when it first released (still have it now), and rooted asap! I did this so that I could get rid of the massive amount of bloatware and use wifi tether. There was also a LOT of devs, roms and tweaked software for a long time.
I don't really see the point in rooting my Wifi only Note 10.1. Is there something I am missing?

If you are perfectly satisfied with your Note as is leave it. But my guess is you will eventually come across something you want to do that requires root and you'll root it.
That and chicks dig root.

Titanium Backup for one. SDCard speed enhancers. Being able to overclock kernels once available. Using Dropsync. Stuff like that.

TB - only needed if you are flashing different ROMs all the time..
SDCard speed enhancers - only needed for AP2SD (which I never understood why people wanted it other than running out of space)
Overclock - this sounds good (even though this tablet is already fast), but doesn't sound like this is available yet..
Dropsync - I have dropsync already set up (one folder for the free version)
i'm rooted just in case JB comes out for 8010 before 8013 (probable) then I will be set and ready to flash JB for 8010 on my 8013.

Poor Androbench score...

My brand new 32GB TF300 with around 10 apps installed gets a pretty bad Androbench score. I'm enjoying the tablet but the score is disappointing. I have completed the test multiple times and even disabled syncing.

Also, just to add I'm stock/unrooted.
And running the latest Jelly Bean firmware...
It would also be good other users could post their scores too...
The low scores are due to crappy I/O performance from the pad. It seems to be a hardware limitation, since no update has exponentially speed up the device. You can get better scores using custom ROMs and Kernels, and using data2sd with a high speed sdcard. But remember installing custom ROMs requires that you unlock you device, which in turn voids your warranty with ASUS.

I knew that before I bought the TF300.
I like the tablet (even though it occasionally lags). I just wondered if my scores were unusually bad.
nope. normal.... cm10+untermunch's kernel = fast
This is the kind of scores you can get rooted and romed but no data to SD on this device yet so can get even better

[Q] TF-300T custom charging rules?

Hi!
I love my red TF-300T but one big thing sucks: The charging behavior with attached dock. It's really like the Transformer is like "OH MY GOD, I'VE LOST 10%! MUST IMMEDIATELY RECHARGE!!!!". Is there a way to switch that bull**** off? F.e. a rule that the tablet only recharges when the battery level is below let's say 20%?

This is actually normal behavior. All android devices stop charging at 100 percent to prevent overcharge and damage to the battery. The only way I know to stop or change it is by kernel source code.

I have a similar question along the same lines:
Is it possible to have the tablet change it's performance mode based on whether or not it is docked? Similar to how on a windows PC the computer changes power settings based on battery or being plugged in, is such a feature possible on this tablet?

If you're rooted this could just possibly almost maybe be possible. I'll have to dig around

Once I un-brick (or what I think to be a brick) my tablet, it will be rooted and CM10'd, the full nine yards. I'd really like to have custom charging rules if possible.

[APP][ROOT]Padfone2 Keyboard Switcher[19.5.2013]

Hello, Padfone 2 users!

Are you tired to change keyboard always when you plug or unplug the padfone from station, that time is past now, solution is PFKBS!!!
Here it is the must to have app to Padfone2 (and maybe 1), the Padfone Keyboard Switcher! Need root!
App just start and you can choose the keyboards to tablet and to phone, and then you just start using what u just do!
Example, if you love the AOSP keybard on Phone, and Swype in tablet you just select those keyboards! This app switches keyboards without any prompt or any questions, only thing you need is a root rights.
App is only beta and I hope that you will report bugs you find!
I want to know if someone test this app on Padfone1 and report will it work! PF1 users must open zip and put only pfkbs.apk to system/app, do not flash the zip!
SCREENSHOT:
Bugs:
App first loading take long time or force close
App wont work properly without installing it to system/app
Slow reaction without notification
You tell me
Intallation:
-Flash in recovery, no need wipes.
Versions:
0.5.017, First public release View attachment PFKBS_Flashable.zip
Looks good will try it :silly:
No bugs at all?
Any comments about the app?
Hi, haven't tried it yet but definitely gonna give it a swing with my Padfone Infinity! I'll let you know what I find and how it's running :good:

Hi. For me it throws exception each start. The other MOD, SystemUI will make notification bar disappear. Do you have the original files please?

Hi so is it working well? I want to use it with SwiftKey Phone and switch it to SwiftKey Tablet without that awkward scaling issue.
