I'm getting a black screen on boot up with the start up music, This is the first time I've had an issue with a rom but I noticed in the thread that I should check my md5 but not sure how to do that any help greatly appreciated as I can't post there yet

I had the same issue - I think it's something to do with the boot.img not updating when the rom is flashed.
I fixed it by extracting the boot.img from the rom zip and then flashing the boot.img in fastboot then flashing the rom - I also flashed the apps/mods pack after.
lol i just flashed the boot.img through fastboot, and it worked. do i miss out on anything by doing this ie anything in the folders inside the zip i should be flashing also?

sweet as - glad it worked for you as well...
I don't think so - do you mean inside the rom zip??? The rest of that should install with the rom just for some reason the boot.img isn't flashing for some of us.
Maybe to do with our hboot version
yeh i'm thinking i'll re-flash via recovery see if i've missed something. Whats in the apps/mods pack?
apps/mods allows you add/remove apps and there's a few mods like multi-tasking, HQ camera to name a few.
cheers for the help mate, i like the wizard they have put into it makes choosing what to install a breeze... thanks coming your way

I'm new to android and really hope I didn't pooch my phone.
I tried installing Jelly Bean and now can't do much of anything. I can get into bootloader and load up team windows recovery (not sure what to do in there)
When I am in fastboot and try through a command prompt adb devices doesn't list the HTC One X (Rogers, Canada)
I really am not sure what to do. I have downloaded a ton of stuff nothing seems to make a difference (HTC drivers, img and zip files..) I think it boils down to getting some direction on what troubleshooting to do with the exact files I would need to use.
flash a rom in recovery ofcourse.
adb doesnt work in hboot only fastboot. your phone is fine. you need to copy the rom zips to your sdcard. then go to install inside recovery. you can mount your sdcard inside recovery also so you can copy stuff. you should still be able to reboot the system normal and have it boot fine. unlocking and flashing recovery doesnt wipe your phone.

Even if you've taken the 4.1 ota it will boot just no working touchscreen. Op is doing something wrong. Verify that you have a onexl and are flashing a ROM for the one xl then make sure to wipe cache, dalvik, system and do a factory reset in twrp. If you wipe system and are flashing a ROM for the wrong phone you will brick so make sure you have the right ROM and phone combo. After flashing the ROM boot to fastboot and fastboot flash your boot.IMG. if you do all that your ROM will boot.

Doesnt matter if you flash it before or after ...are you full wiping? Data system caches. .. and you're flashing thorugh Fastboot right Sith Fastboot flash boot boot.img ?
Yes. Well mostly to flash the flash boot img . I was using the flash image gui app , or the flash boot .img batchfile created here on xda. They both have worked in the past .

Place boot image on phone but not in any folder so that GUI can see it not in one x root. Place full zip file in downloads folder on phone storage. Use GUI to flash image. So I downloaded the flash GUI program and followed the steps via the video (thanks for that, very helpful) but after flashing the kernel (boot IMG) and hitting the recovery reboot option it didn't reboot, it didn't do anything. So I did a manual reboot into recovery and installed the zips and rebooted. I got to the Rom initiating page (this one had a unicorn) and it didn't go any further. The only other info I could offer is that I went the lazy way and emailed the boot image to myself on my comp and downloaded to my phone via the email. Not sure if that makes a difference. Any more ideas, I'm gonna try the ice cold jelly Rom and the viper xl later today.
So I just tried the viper 3.2 Rom and although it seemed to get a little further in the process, result is the same: stuck on viper logo. Only ice cold jelly left. When transferring zip files over to phone do o have to mount via twrp or can I just mount as disk drive via stock rom? At this point, unrooting and waiting for att's official JB update may be my only option. Thanks in advance for any help.

You don't need to be rooted really. Just flash TWRP and do a back up (just your boot image so it's a quick back up) just so it creates the backup directory structure on your sd card. Boot into android and just put the folder that you unzip from the file in the OP in the same folder /sdcard/0/twrp/backup/HT?????/ folder (you'll see a similar time stamped one that you just made) plop the unzipped folder into there and then reboot back into twrp and restore.
Or you can just flash CWM and then flash that zip like any other zip
Does anyone have the radio.img from the 4.3 dump? Would love to give that a whirl over here in the states, see if anything improves.

I was wondering if there is a flashable stock rom we can flash in open recovery, etc that i can use to get a lock on all my carrier features. As an alternative to flashing an FZX and restoring my CM over it. Is there any kind of homescreen saver for CM so i can save all my widgets and icon locations?
Thanks in advance.

Hey welcome to xda and the ONEPlus forum. Just so you know this is a place where you should do as much troubleshooting prior to posting. Now questions:
1. have you checked the md5 to make sure it matches the zip file (Google it)
2. are you sure the file you downloaded is not corrupted
3. have you tried to open up the zip file on a pc to see if there are any issues
4. have you tried to download the file again and make another attempt
5. have you tried to download other files and flash it to pinpoint issue.
Android is great but dont play around with a phone that you will have to wait for another invite if you are unsure of what you are doing. I am saying this as someone trying to help you and not flame you....
Try the above any issues let me know

google md5 checker and then go back to where you got the file and check what the md5 number is. Got to google this stuff my friend. but why dont you just download the file again. All the info you need is out there but you got to get your hands dirty and search and learn about them. Its only going to help you in the long run :good:

go to advanced wipe and simply check system, dalvik cache and cache. Nice clean wipe of system folder will always help. Remember you will have to flash gapps again as well(if necessary)
Full stock CM11S rom no need to worry about gapps
I had same issue I fixed it like this: after I pushed the cm11 zip from PC to phone using cmd, I didn't just go ahead and installed it. Instead i disconnect the phone did a reboot back into the twrp recovery, AND THEN installed the cm11 zip. That worked for me and no errors.
