Default Performance Profile? - Asus Transformer TF700

Every time I reboot, my performance profile gets set to Balanced. Is there a way to get it to stay on a preferred mode?

Can SetCPU go to performance mode when Graffiti input active?

Is there any way to configure SetCPU so it normally runs with the 'conservative' governor (the only one the Epic 4G apparently supports right now), but instantly kicks the CPU up to max and keeps it there whenever a soft keyboard (specifically, Graffiti) is active?
For anybody who's never tried it, Graffiti's accuracy is nearly perfect when the phone is in 'Performance' mode... and, er, a bit more... um... "variable and inconsistent" when it's not. The thing is, my battery life is getting totally nuked by keeping the phone in performance mode all the time.
For me, at least, kicking it to 100% whenever any soft input area is active (without worrying whether it's Graffiti or some other one) is more than good enough.
Failing that, is there a setting that translates to "Performance profile when the screen is on, Conservative profile when the screen is off" so it's at least not running full-bore when the phone is just sitting in my pocket or idle and dark on my desk?

[Q] SetCpu not recognizing on reboot

so i noticed that when i reboot my tab, setcpu is not recognizing (with auto detect). i always have to launch the app and press menu to auto detect it. anyone know how to fix this? my phone would get stuck and reboot if i don't do this after reboot when i put the device on sleep mode (tap power button).
SetCPU seems to have major problems with the tab (it does with mine at least), it's not very beneficial and probably detrimental as the device stands at the moment.
The one time i used it with 'start on boot' after the reboot, the min and max cpu resetted at 19 with a max of 500 :| need to wait for modded kernels.

glad i'm not the only one with this problem. i'll disable it for now until we get some kernels. thx.
I rarely use SetCPU. The default "conservative" mode (100MHz --> 1GHz) is adequate. Of course the current kernels do not allow overclocking, so SetCPU is limited to underclocking (i.e. save battery) or to using the "performance" mode, on-demand (i.e. no need for "run at boot"). As it stands, I need neither, I am very impressed by the "conservative" algorithm.

[Q] How can I verify that Voltage Control worked?

Whenever I enter the app, it looks like all my settings have been reset, and it shows me running at 1000mhz (despite me setting the max to 800).
Here's how I'm using it, I change all the settings, click apply, then save profile, then save boot settings. Then I reboot my phone.
Additionally, all the menu items under I/O Scheduler and CPU Governor are tripled. What's going on?
I have problems with the boot settings...from what I understand you have to just reconfigure it every time your phone boots. Kinda sucks.
Also, you don't have to reboot to apply settings: it does it as soon as you hit save.

set on boot CPU setting

What is the benfit to turning on the "set on boot" setting for CPU clocking. As far as I can tell, the CPU settings i have selected (governor and speed) automatically go into effect once the tablet is up and running.

I thought that the settings that you set go into effect a few minutes after boot up, so that if they crash the device, you have time to switch them back to a stable settings. Set on boot must then put then into effect immediately. Either that or the feature is broken lol.

Volume issues

Hi!
I'm having a issue here regarding volumes of ringer and notifications.
It's similar to the issues discussed in the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2891719 but my issues is with to high volumes:
During day I like my ringer to be set to 3, notifications to 2.
Then I use scheduling apps like Smart Connect to set quiet hours.
However when the quiet hours ends, everything goes back to 4 resulting in disturbing volumes.
Of course I can use a scheduler to set volumes during day as well but it seems stupid not being able to edit the defaults.
Am I missing something here or is this just the way it works? [emoji15]
Update: I've found a very good free scheduling app called Profile Scheduler. It includes a "not"-logic making it possible to schedule a quiet profile during night and when off-schedule activate a day profile. Very good!
It's still strange that there seems to be a non editable default profile in z3....

Have a look a Lama, it is fantastic and also is location aware, so you can set profiles for work, for home...
Thanks, Lama also looks great. For the time being I'm going to stay with Profile Scheduler. It suits my needs +more
Also I find the GUI well designed.
Well, actually I'm going for Lama. I noticed that profiles don't change as intended in Profile Scheduler. That and the fact that the app hasn't been updated since october 2013, didn't notice that earlier... ?
