is there a way to install this without going the kexec rout sense we have a unlocked bootloader now?
is it easy to flash it if you go back to rooted stock and then unlock your phone?
Just use ROM manager or even better, the ez recovery app to flash regular, touch or twrp recovery. Non kexic should use the non-touch 6.0.1.0

I would to flash my gs3 to CM10 but my question is can I use ez recovery app and flash it to cmw 6.0.1.0 and then the CM10 rom or I have to choose custom and a select d2vzw_recovery.img to flash it?

I believe EZ recovery allows you to flash a lot of kexec based recoveries, including CMW 6.0.1.0.
I'm curious if using a kexec recovery with CM10 will cause your phone to boot into recovery when you hard reboot, but I'm trying to find out if there's a way to go back to your already flashed CM10 instead of booting the stock ROM.
So i downloaded rom manager from the market. I went to flash clockworkmod recovery to the phone and selected verizon galaxy s3. It progressed a certain amount then stopped responding. I'm a bit hesitant to reboot my phone but should this have worked?
I'm rooted and unlocked bootloader.

Try reflashing or ditch Rom Manager and use EZ-Recovery to flash CWM 6.0.1.0.

I did it a second time and it asked for SU. Seemed to go through. I'm going to reboot and see if it works.
Do not use ROM manager, just use EZ Recovery from the market.
Is there something wrong with ROM manager?

It didn't brick his phone, for some reason the first time you flash cwm from rom manager, it hangs when it's about to ask for SU permissions, it force closes. Second time it will go through, doesn't brick your phone or anything of that nature.

I don't believe you can hard brick a phone from a recovery. You can always flash the stock recovery.img and be fine. I used ez recovery and chose custom and selected CMW 6 flashed, said ok, rebooted and the phone automatically went into download mode and would not boot up. All i did was flash the recovery.img i pulled from cmw non touch and flashed recovery and all was good.

well cwm bricked my phone. phone turns on says samsung and goes black. also when i plug the charger in it vibrates intermitently.
Install CWM Touch here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1719744
So I used the ez unlock app which was super easy. Prior to unlocking I've been using CWM 6.0.1 to make/restore backups.
Can i still use CWM or should I switch to twrp??? Wasn't quite sure if I should continue to use CWM now that I'm unlocked. Plus can I still restore backups prior to unlocking if I need too??

CWM will still work exactly the same.

Basically your answer depends on whether you want to run a kexec ROM or not. If your current ROM is kexec then don't change a thing. Once you go to flash a nonkexec ROM you will need to switch to a normal recovery like twrp or a normal cwm.
Unlocking your bootloader does not require you to change but know that all of the new ROMs will go to nonkexec. At which point you will have to switch recoveries to use them.

If I switch to twrp can I use my backups made with the locked boot loader?? Not that I probably would but you never know if I run into an issue.
Which version of cwm should I use?? I originally used ez recovery to install CWM 6.0.1.

I wanna flash Touch through Odin (unless there's an easier way) but will having regular clockwork installed hurt anything if I flash?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Flash touch over regular cwm via ez recovery. It's fine. Don't use odin to flash recovery.
Thanks! Did that and it worked!

FYI...it would be better if you ran CWM 6.0.1.0 instead of CWM Touch...ive had better results with the newer version, if you're interested in trying it out.
I actually used CMW to flash 6.0.1.2 over 6.0.1.0 as opposed to using EZ recovery. I used EZ Recovery to get 6.0.1.0 on the phone in the first place. I do this because the first S3 I tried to use the custom option in EZ Recovery on was soft bricked upon flash completion.

Agreed, just use the CWM ROM Manager app to flash on the most current 6.0.1.2. You can also flash most recent touch recovery through the app as well, that option is at the bottom. I use the touch while I am using ICS roms, but when I start playing with JB developments, I flash back to 6.0.1.2 standard recovery. Though I have not experienced any issues with touch and JB, the developers warn in bold to not use it with JB roms. CWM is updated more frequently than the EZ recovery app, and why use an outside source to flash CWM anyways? EZ recovery is good to start out with because of its different recovery options, but ultimately is not better that the actual recovery source app CWM.
I currently have a stock, rooted, unlocked SGS3 with CWM Ver 6.0.1.2. I also have EZ Recovery installed. I'm curious about TWRP, can I install it and have multiple recoveries or are the recoveries a one at a time deal?
Thanks
There one at a time. Just flash one and test it out. Don't like it, flash another. Currently I'm enjoying CWM.

You can flash whatever recovery you want with either rom manager or ez recovery. I like the touch version of cwm recovery.
Also if you have a custom recovery you cannot receive OTA updates

If I flash TWRP, will it overwrite my current CWM? Or do I need to remove it first? Also, could I flash it from within CWM or would that break something?
Thanks

No, you can install CWM using Rom manager. You can install TWRP using GooManager (tap Menu, then install Openscriptrecovery) You can also install either through EZ Recovery if you have the img file.

You might want to update your cwm.
