Hello-
Since I just joined XDA, I am not allowed to post this under the CM10 section yet. I am having problems with CM10 on my VZW S3 with apps such as PC Monitor, Onkyo Remote and WiFi tether that send/verify data over wifi. Wifi and the app foxfi are working perfectly. Can someone try the PC Monitor app on CM10 on the S3 or the Onkyo Remote (if you have an Onkyo receiver) and let me know if it is working for you? I can stream Pandora radio to my receiver but local music can't be sent to the receiver (which works on my ICS rom). PC Monitor will show my PC, but will not send the wakup or shutdown commands (almost like nothing is being sent). Could it be these apps are not working for Jelly Bean? I don't have a Nexus 7 to give them a shot. If anyone can help me out, I appreciate it. Thanks!
I've got stock JB installed on my Xoom, and I don't have any issues using the Onkyo app....
Doesn't seem to be a JB issue; could it be network or AVR issue?

My Transformer isnt showing the PAN service from my Samsung Galaxy S running Wireless Tether Root in bluetooth mode.
Yes i have allowed the program access in superuser.
Anyone get this working?
My bluetooth tethering is working just fine. I actually had it paired up and running within a couple of minutes of getting the transformer out of the box. Wish I could be of more help to you but all I did was follow a guide that I found on how to bluetooth tether to a xoom online.
what phone are you tethering from? and version of android?
Would love to know if android-wifi-tether works with a (rooted & ROM'd) SGS and the TF101 ..?
..and as i haven't got a GT-I9000 -yet) any suggestion on any likely ROM / kernel (that supports netfilter) partnership, to achieve the above - would be highly appreciated..
-many thanks,
Is there anyway that I can read Wired while I have no Internet? I figured I would have been able to use the Fire on my last plane trip to read it. I downloaded the issues and then when I went to open the app on the plane, FC every time. The second I got it on the WiFi in the hotel it started working fine. Turn off WiFi, FC.
Any ideas? Are other people experiencing this? I'm running gedeROM 1.7 at the moment.

Does someone with a stock KF have Wired that can test this out? I'm curious if it has something to do with the ROM for some reason or if it is universal.
Thanks
Unfortunately (tragically) Amazon has a lot of apps, including games, that won't work unless you are connected to WiFi. I have no idea why they do that but it is really maddening. For some reason they want you streaming rather than using local memory.

It seems nuts that something like a magazine would need an Internet connection to use. What is the point in downloading it then to memory if I am connected to WiFi? I would just open it up and read it at that point...
Apparently it doesn't work with JB at all as far as I can tell. No modded hosts file or anything, just a FC.
I'm trying to connect my Note to an Ad-Hoc connection. I'm sure there is something obvious I am missing for why I can't see the Ad-Hoc connection from my note 10.1 but can't figure it out and didn't see anything here.
I posted my solution in another thread here with same topic. Refer to it. But the FoxFi app is the solution to this. Google the apk because it was removed from marketplace. Install it on phone. Then install foxfi add on, on phone, that's in marketplace. Then you should be good to go. Tablet will now pick up your tethering signal. Root is not needed either(for phone or tablet). App works great on pure stock. Works fine on my pure stock SG3.

I'm not really looking for a tether solution. I can tether to my phone just fine. I specifically want to know if there is a way to get the Note 10.1 to connect to and ad-hoc network for another reason. I do presentations and sometimes. Often I can do them right from the note using the All-Share Cast Dongle, but sometimes (due to issues w/ Dongle working with certain adaptors) I have to have my laptop connected to the projector and want to control it with remote desktop with my tablet. I want to do this without relying on my host having wifi I can use. So I need ad-hoc connectivity to connect to my laptop directly without having to lug around a wireless router.
On another note, out of curiosity I tried FoxFi and it doesn't work on my phone anyway. The built-in (stock) tether app works great and is all I need.
Lopk for a wifi direct type program for your laptop or try bluetooth dun. Type connection. Pdanet could ne a solution just not sure. Some type of device to device metwork is needed .if your laptop has iis there could be a solution in it.

Hi!
I want to ask you: Have you solved this?
I also need to connect to an ad-hoc.
I've read: on some other android devices they root and replace their wpa_suplicant. Does anybody know if it is also possible on Note 10.1 ?
Sry for my english...
Thx
Never did get it to work. I'm on stock without root and just being lazy. Accomplished my task with a $20 wifi router.

Hey Folks,
I've been using my Note GT-N7000 to tether with my Note 10.1 over bluetooth, which works just great if I explicitly connect the two. However, if say for example, the Note 10.1 is in my office, and the Note GT-N7000 is in my pocket, and I leave the office, the two won't automatically reconnect to each other when I return. I have to manually connect them again.
Is there any way to have the two automatically reconnect to each other when they are in proximity?
Thanks,
Drkmtr
Hey drkmtr, sorry I don't have an answer for you. I'd love to be able to get the bluetooth tethering to work. I'm also using a GT-N7000 and a Note 10.1 but I have had no luck. Are you using a 3rd party app to share the internet?
In my case everything connects, on my Note 10.1 the box "Use for internet access" is checked in bluetooth settings. But it just doesn't work for me.
Thanks for your reply mate,
The BT tethering works out of the box for me, no third party apps required, although I am running a custom ICS ROM on the N7000. How have you got your N7000 setup? I assume you have BT tethering enabled in your N7000 settings?
You could try a third party app "BT Auto Tethering" on the N7000 and it's sister app "BT Auto Connect" on the 10.1... both available from the market gratis.

I'm running Paranoid JB nightlies on my phone and stock on the tablet. Thanks for the market apps I, will give those a try.
Maybe I should go back ti ics on my phone.
I do this exact same thing as well and I haven't figured out a way to get them to auto connect either

Did anyone find a way to get auto-reconnect functionality with BT tethering?
I tether my Note to my Evo 3D using the stock BT tethering while at work. It works great except for my phone's crappy connection in my building (I blame Rogers).
Also, is anyone else experiencing drops in the tether connection when the Note sits idle for a while. If I initiate the tether, then let the tablet sit for a while unused, often when I pick it up to use it the tether connection is dead. The statusbar still states there's a tethered internet connection (as it does on my Evo 3D), but none of my apps will be able to connect to the web. The only way to re-establish the link is to turn BT off on the Note, and then turn it back on and re-initiate the tether.
Ooo... my 1,000th post.
I've tried searching around, but haven't been able to find any info on my current issue which is that haven't been able to bluetooth tether my TF101 to my phone properly.
Phone: Galaxy Nexus CM10.1 nightly
-Bluetooth tethering enabled and confirms "Sharing this phone's Internet connection to 1 device"
-Also tried a stock Galaxy Note; same result.
Tablet: Transformer TF101 CM10 nightly (20121105)
-Use for internet access checked.
-Devices paired and connected successfully but it says "No Internet Connection"
I was able to connect using Fox-fi and PDAnet combo, which works for Chrome, but not Facebook or Gmail and more. Notification drawer still says "No Internet Connection"
Anyone have any insight for me? Something obvious I missed somewhere?
Thanks in advance.
Fir tethering with bluetooth i use BlueVPN app, FB and GMAIL work, but i can't download app in market store.
Other big problem is that often the connection block and i have to restart app in my tablet.
Anyone have any luck tethering a Droid razr maxx hd?
