fastboot getvar all
copy the output of this command excluding IMEI and Serial No. into a post. Also what does your hboot say?

How can I get the fastboot getvar all of a thing I don't know how to obtain it. Mean while my hboot was formerly 1.18. Then I now updated it to 1.27.1100

edit your post to remove IMEI and serial no, I dont need them and you should not give then away lightly - I did say EXCLUDING those (meaning dont post them)
for fastboot commands you need to download the adb and fastboot files, they are available from the all in one S-OFF (hboot 1.1x.xxxx), SuperCID etc guide thread in the dev section

Instructions when you get to a pc:
open command prompt, type:
cd C:\path_to_folder_with_fastboot_files
hit enter (eg for me it is cd C:\adb) then put phone into bootloader, connect it to pc and select fastboot usb mode on the phone, then type into command prompt:
fastboot getvar all
hit enter

Hello everyone,
I'm new to sensation and coming from the mytouch espresso threads. I am familiar with rules and yes I've searched but my question entitles a little more specific detail.
Basically I'm without pc for the moment and can't s-off for the time being.
But I still wanted to flash cwm recovery and gain root access. The guides in development sticky are great and explain everything but here's my problem.
I downloaded "PG58IMG.zip" to the root of my sd and boot into hboot. Bootloader loads the zip file (i see the blue progress bar on the right) then immediately goes back to hboot menu. It never asked me to "push 'UP' if you want to update".
No custom recovery, no root.
So my question is, do I need to s-off for bootloader to update recovery?
This wasn't the case for espresso but I know that's a totally different device and hboot.
Any help or advice is appreciated.

S-OFF in this case allows the Flashing of Files(Security Off) and SuperCID allows the flashing of ANY ROM to the device regardless of the carrier. So without S-OFF, PG58IMG.zip will NEVER be able to be flashed.
If you ever want to try ARHD's 6.2.x XE/ 6.2.x ROM, Do follow my Noob's guide to Flashing it! It's helpful! It can be found here!
Cheers!

Does anyone know if Revolutionary does Supercid or should I use ADB?
simply flashing a ROM doesn't get you SUPERCID if that's what you are asking.. if that's not what your asking, then my bad.

Revolutionary makes your phone S-OFF. After S-OFF boot into bootloader.
Then isuue the following command to write superCID
" fastboot oem writecid 11111111 "
and then
""fastboot getvar cid""
It should return 11111111.
Now "fastboot reboot" to reboot your devices.
Remember to perform this, you must have working adb setup and fastboot binary.

Desire S HBOOT 2.00 to 0.98

Hi,
I m new here but have been following threads about downgrading the desire s hboot from 2.00 to 0.98. I have been trying many instructions given on this forum but none did work. My desire s is has an unlocked bootloader by the HTCDev tool provided by htc. can someone direct me to a good thread about this topic please? Also how do you find the correct RUU for your device?
You can find a list of RUU in the index thread. RUU depends on the region or carrier you bought it from. So choose RUU carefully to avoid consequence ahead.

I did everything to the letter as your sig says but the HBOOT remained 2.00
the RUU i used is the RUU_Saga_S_HTC_Europe_2.10.401.5_Radio_20.4801.30.0822U_3822.10.08.04_M_release_219480_signed.exe one. Since i'm in europe and my htc is not branded. Thanks for your reply, this is as closest as i got so far.
Next time before following a guide check some of the comments. At page 10 there was a guy making the same mistake as you do. The solution is there as well

Ok I think that you have a leaked development device. Maybe you got it cheap but there is a chance that some things may not work the same way as our market phones. But I am sure the chance is not so big.
Now you have to find out what version is your phone and use a RUU to put a not watermarked software on it.
To do that you have to setup adb and fastboot (link in my signature). Then you have to enable USB Debugging option in the Developer's settings, connect the phone to the PC, open command prompt and type the following commands:
Code:
adb reboot-bootloader
fastboot getvar version-main
fastboot getvar cidnum
Note: after the first adb command the phone will restart and you should see "FASTBOOT USB" written on a white background along some other options before proceeding with the fastboot commandsx.
Then post the output of the fastboot commands here (the first should be a number like 2.10.401.5, the second looks like HTC__001 or VODAxxxx or TMOBxxxx, or something similar, 8 characters in total.
Also post here the words on the top of the white screen that should look like this:
Code:
***LOCKED***
SAGA PVT SHIP S-ON RL
Hboot – 2.00.0002
Radio – 3822.10.08.04_M
eMMC-boot
When you provide this information I will give you a link to a file that you will start on your PC and it will put a normal, not watermarked software on your phone. During this process you will lose all your data as apps, contacts, SMS and calendar events, so keep this in mind and make backups (use your Google account or backup apps from the Play Store.

Flash Different RUU on different Carrier

Hry Guys this is my very first pist on XDA so pardon me if i make any mistake.... i have a question in mind i have a T-MOBILE htc ONE S unlocked so i can use any Sim on it... My query was that k if i can flash non t mobile ruu on it... or i will left with my bricked ONE S.... cuz my wifi hotspot not seems to work..... sorry for bad English.... and trillion thanks for such hardwork...
You must flash RUU what is correct with your radio
..... okay.... and how to check my radio
If you are s-off you can try super cid, it lets you use any ruu
Heres how:
1. Go to bootloader
2. Get into fastboot
3. Plug in your phone to pc
4. Open command prompt
5. Type: fastboot oem writecid 11111111
I wouldn`t use SuperCID, because your device will brick if you update from latest released RUU to latest official HTC version.
I yould recommend HTC_102 as CID which allows you to install the stock software without any carrier.
