Elixir 2 anyone? - Asus Transformer TF700

Anyone else using Elixir 2 on their Inifinity? I have finally taken the plunge to fully configure, install, create widgets, etc and have to say I am loving it! Depth and breadth of control and detail is amazing.
Anyone else have thoughts on this?

I use Elixir 2 and I love it. Have it on both my EVO 4G LTE and Infinity 64GB

Yes, a few people here were using it, see the "post your home screens" thread. It's really nice, but it updates all the time, so expect some more battery drain (see your logcat if you don't believe me ;>).

I have elixir running as a notification widget so I can easily track my CPU usage (trying to figure out some stuff with my battery usage) and launch floating apps from anywhere. Works pretty great.

[REQ] See Through Live Wallpaper that actually works on EVO

Hey guys (and.. girls? meebee? No? Okay...)
I grabbed the See Through Phone live wallpaper off the market the other day and promptly unistalled/refund. The concept is really cool, it just uses the camera to give the illusion that your phone is see through.
The reason for the refund? Something is VERY wacky with the orientation on this app when used on the EVO. In fact, it was so out of whack that I really couldn't tell if it was just displaying along the wrong axis or if it was using the front facing camera instead of the 8.0 megapixel badboy.
Has anyone else tried this? Better yet, has anyone else been working on a similar wallpaper for the EVO?
FYI, I'm running DC 3.2.3 w/ Konikub's minimalist and the latest 55fps nova kernel. I don't know if it was the result of my mods or the wallpaper itself hasn't been built to account for the EVO's hardware.
Any help would be cool. I'm supremely satisfied with the latest DC, Koni's themes and the 55fps kernel. Now if only I could get my hands on some stellar live wallpapers..
wow...i can only imagine the amount of battery this would choke down

Ice Cream Sandwhich Info

A friend of mine's father works for a major phone company. Legally I'm not aloud to tell you. But I have info on ICS, and if you have any hope on wanting info. You'll believe me. First of all ICS is completed. The release version is 4.0, not 2.4. It truly fuses Gingerbread, with Honeycomb. You know how the new Motoblur status bar looks? Thats kinda the whole theme to it. ICS is aimed to work on any and all devices. Tablets, and Phones. Just how a while ago somebody found out that hidden in HC is a GB UI. ICS UI will depend on the size of your screen. SO obviously tablets have Software buttons, and Phones hardware. Apparently there's an option to enable Software buttons in a menu similar to CM7's tablet tweaks. There using a new way to manage apps and the memory so that battery life is amazing! A Xoom apparently can go 75 HOURS! Yes Hours with out a single charge *Wifi Model*. ICS will be out for public development within the next two months. So expect CM8 in November :3 My source is amazing, I just can't say anything that will lead it back to me. ICS is smooth, fast, and amazing! If you guys truly want to see Pics of ICS *Yes, Pictures* I'll upload them next week. That will be the next time I can get a hold of some ICS. I'll upload the Lockscreen, Browser, and About Screen. I just need help on knowing what to blur out so my friend don't get in trouble. I was considering doing a Nandroid backup and seeing what people what do with that, but as the wife explained. I'd go to Jail Xo. So hopefully you believe me. If not wait to have your mind blown next week Thank You
I hope you'll deliver what you just promised
I truly can, it's not that hard. I had been using Honeycomb for 4 months before the Xoom was released :3
Can't wait

yes, would love some screenies!
we dont want anyone to get in any trouble here... but..
if a /system/ dump was posted to some little known file hosting/sharing from an anonymous IP address... well, you know... leaks happen, etc.

That's right, leaks do happen. Happened with Windows...happened with 2 iPhones being "lost" in a bar (happened with the 4 and the new 5 coming out). We don't live in a perfect world. "Accidents" happen
Are the home screens and app drawer designs radically different? Sorry, I'm not familiar with the motoblur theme.

More battery life is the best news ever. Even if they didn't improve much on the features but gave tons more battery life, I'd be a happy camper.

I've had a galaxy s2 since may, and just bought a xoom 3g. The galaxy battery lasts a day. The xoom has lasted 4 days so far and still going. That's with gmail and exchange set to push, and on 3g. So 75 hours as stated by the op doesn't seem that great. Unless he means 75 hours continuous video playing?
WOW! I'm so excited about ICS!

People might have missed this but there is an important question in the OPs post quoted above.
OP: My suggestion is to look at the already leaked images from the older build and see if there is anything that seems strange in those areas. I don't know how subtle Google's watermarks are.

This is a fantastic app! I'd love to see this concept expanded into more weather and eventually a weather app.. Rain falling would be amazing! Quick note, while it runs on ICS the settings screen is tiny and not usable.

The only problem using toast message for animation is the intense battery drain..other than that, this is one of the best apps I've ever seen because it's so unique

Hi,
Try to uninstall and reinstall the app. I have noticed a bug happening from time to time on the free version - in the next update I will fix this and also add the option to switch from shake mode to continuous mode.
Plese let me know if reinstalling it fixes the bug.
Thanks for the feedback.

Actually I've spend a good amount of time on finding and applying different optimisations to lower the stress of rendering the overlayed snowflakes; from what I've noticed, on most phone models I tested the app on, the battery drain is barely noticeable. Of course, I have only tested it on a limited number of phones. Could't get my hands on the T989 to test on
Also the battery drain depends a lot on device model, number of snowflakes, if the timeout of the snow is set or it is running continuously, etc. etc.
I still got some improvements on the "menu" for the next update.
Thanks for the feedback!

I've been testing different configurations to see what works best, and this is what I've found.
I get the most optimal performance and least battery drain when set to run continuously, (shake turned off, no time out). It barely affects battery life although it still shows a high percentage in the battery stats - higher than the display, Android system, etc. but the actual battery drain doesn't seem excessive (weird..)
In any other setting, even with shake on, the system kills it after awhile (the notification icon disappears and everything) when the phone is locked/screen blacked out for more than what seems like ten minutes or so. The app then appears to "not work"but it is in fact just closed by the system.

Also, I did not adjust the size or number of snowflakes, used default settings.

[APP][2.3+] Weather Route 3.10

Hi everyone, I'd love to get some feedback about my Android app, Weather Route. Please give it a spin and let me know what you like/don't like/hate, or just want random unicorns.
What makes Weather Route different to other apps?
* Allows you to just tell us where you're going and we'll fill in all the details of the trip in between.
* Side-by-side weather forecast comparisons between all locations along the trip.
* Immediate highway camera footage of current conditions.
This app is only works in the United States, due to data limitations pulled from NOAA.
As I'm a new XDA user, I can't post external links like the Play store listing or the YouTube demo video. Please see that attachments for this post.
Looks great. Downloading.

With the wether coming this week, I look forward to putting it to the test.

Thanks! It's surprisingly difficult to get all of this weather data in a fast, responsive way (at least, from under-powered public government servers...). I've put a lot of work in tuning the performance. I'm glad you like it!

Nexus 5 lags?

Today I was shuffling through widgets and unfortunately I found this major lag, long enough for me to take a screen shot. What's wrong with this thing..
I'm on un-rooted stock Android 4.4.2

Is this the only time that it allegedly lags? Is it that big of a deal? Any other instances? Do you take lots of selfies? Why is your face your background?

Things that make you go hmmmmmm.
On a serious note. Do a factory reset and see if that fixes it. Nothing else for you to really do on an unrooted stock phone. Some errant app(s) perhaps running in the background

OP: Try another Home Launcher to see if it scrolls better through your widgets. Might help pinpoint if it's just the launcher or something more endemic.

theres nothing to fear but fear itself.
read up about rooting, educate yourself. then when youre comfortable, do it. its a nexus, its very easy to root.
I just want to cover my 1year warranty, and I'll try rooting after that.
Did you see that video (lol for quality)?
Nexus 5 - My Beloved Beast
Mine lags like that as well in the widgets menu. Never really bothers me though since that's really the only time my phone ever lags. It could also possibly be the fact that I have like 15 pages of widgets. A couple of my apps come with like 6 widgets each. Who the heck needs that many widget options? Especially since you can change the size to anything you want now. It's kind of annoying. I wish there were a way to disable widgets for an individual app because I really only use 4 widgets max on my homescreen. Oh well. I never really go into the widgets menu that often anyways.
I'm stock rooted BTW.
Well, two things come to mind.
- I haven't used the drawer to access widgets in years. I long press on the homescreen and tap widgets and get that nice, speedy, scrollable list.
- You can, in fact, disable whichever widgets you like through the use of an autostarts app.

thats the only way to access them, they arent located in the app drawer(not in the google experience launcher at least).
