[Donations] Help Get eVil D a MT4G for Sense Roms

Update: I picked up Zinx and Evil's phones and hope to ship them today
Ok you guys should know the drill for now. We were able to collect the funds for Zinx's phone in less than a day. Granted that was with a special deal to get the phone on the cheap that I don't know if we will be able to do again. But I am confident we can get the funds collected to get eVil D a phone. Click my "donate to me" link to contribute. I am in NO way making a profit from this and am only using money to cover expenses. Like always if I will furnish receipts on request. If you don't want to your charged the paypal fee and want 100% of your donation to go towards the fund, chose to send it as a personal gift (which it is).
Right now we are shooting for the out of contract price of $399, unless someone has an upgrade they would like to donate to the cause.
For those unfamiliar with eVil D, he has worked on sense ports of the Desire, Desire HD, and MT4G for the N1 and the G2. He has agreed to work on the MT4G as well, provided we can provide him with a test device.
So let's start this off again and see how quickly we can get another awesome dev working on our device.

As you may have noticed I was not maked down as paid for Zinx's phone b/c as soon as I found out we could get it for $150 I was already planning on donating to the eVil D fund....well that and it's kind of silly to donate money to my own paypal account only to transfer it back to my bank account.

We don't actually send the donations until we have enuff pledged to cover the amount. So you can still pledge something now. If we were to actually reach our total before Wednesday we would understand if you had to wait.

Heading to my buddies to give him the money to transfer to you. Thank you so much for doing this for the community. And I'm sure the devs don't mind the free devices ;]

Just to clarify. I get paid on friday. If this is still going I will happily donate. Ill even donate more than $10 if needed. If you look around xda forums in the glacier threads, I try to help people out with questions and always offer a hand etc. I just dont want people thinking im all talk when it comes to donations. [Q] How much did you pay for your Sensation 4G?

Just wondering how much everyone paid for their Sensation 4G in the end, and how they went about getting the deal that they got.
I am currently an EM+ customer and I called in and they basically told me that they couldn't do anything for me (I said that I was interested in signing a two-year contract). The girl just referred me to the website saying that it was 250 and 50 rebate. I mentioned the $150 walmart price and she says "Yeah I think CostCo has it for like $90 too". bummer.

Please see the thread that talks about Releasing for Tmobile. I know it's big, but a lot of it is discussing peoples deals that they got. There's really no reason to start a new thread for it. I know you know about the thread too because you've posted in it.

New contract? Renewal?

Paid just taxes on 249 (that is around $20), and got it on 2 year contract extension. Had to talk with 4 CS reps, before getting this.

Some person will get a better deal than others. I think its depend to whom you are negotiate to.
But the worry point is, some one will not satisfied with others and will complain to their carrier/supplier and in the end all will not get a good benefit due to many complain others get good deal than yours..something like starting a "war" for the good deal..lol..
That's why its better to keep to your self on a good deal. So that the war will not start..lol

New ones in the box seem to go for around 300 on ebay still.

So i'll sell mine for $250 shipped. $475 for the pair. They are att&t. But also one of the easiest phones ever to unlock. I'm glad to do it for anyone that wants it done before shipping. At the moment they've never been out the box.

Not sure how to respond. Because your absolutely correct. No one has any reason to trust me what so ever. And theres no way to change that. But my options are this or ebay. They have lost tons of value as it is because of the length of time I've had them. I'm sure I could get 500 on ebay, but by the time I pay their fee and paypal s fee for the money transfer and the shipping cost I might have 425 left. If you've sold on ebay then u know. And we all know what they cost so the thought of selling a brand new galaxy s for $212.50 seemed crazy. Wasn't sure what to do. I dont need the money but they'll be worth nothing if I continue to hold on to them. Its ok if u dont trust me.

Ha. I didn't know. I'm sorry I came off wrong. I was just trying to get rid of a couple extra phones. I know nothing about "scamming". Can we just delete this post? Its went completely in the wrong direction. Maybe ebay was my best option. Irony was I never thought about selling them in the forum until I noticed the"marketplace"

Just bought a second one for my wife. I'll keep these until the Galaxy Note has been out for a month or two. Loving that 5.3 inch SAMOLED. No reason to go to the SGS2 that I can see. It is awesome, but not that much better than the Captivate.

Sure there is. I havnt sold in a couple years(another reason why I shy away, so much has changed) but i remember paying an extra .25 just to have a pic posted during search. Extra charges if you use alotta pictures. And the charge just to post, and the extra if you sell your item. Things of that sort. My accounts havnt been activated in a while. I went back to paypal the other day just to update that accout. New bank and such. Because i bought a few accesories for the captivate I use now. If the person thats interested perhaps lives in southern VA or northern NC maybe we could meet. I live on the line midway (Halifax County, VA) Or if there is someone you really trust on the forum I could send the item to the first. And when they get it they can let you know. Then I could recieve my payment. Of course it would have to be someone of high standing. I would hate to get ripped off myself. Just know I'm not here to scam anyone. I could take pics of the items if it helps. At least you'd know I actually have them. Beside a printout of this post so you know i didnt just copy a picture from the web. I'm trying here guys. I'm an honest person. I dont care if I sell them now. I guess now I'm just trying to build a little trust.

Just a heads up , I went to the bestbuy store and they wouldnt do a thing for me. They told me since its online only I would have to call in and see what they can do. I will try that and let you know what happens. Worst case I return it and reorder online. Im leading towards that anyways since I have a dead pixel.

I was directed to call rewardzone directly, through 1888bestbuy. They said I could get the $100, but I would need to return my phone and get it from reward zone directly.

Best buy was the only place you could find this phone in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada).. they seem to always have a few extra phones that are in high demand.. the thing is, it usually takes a little while for them to help you out... but at least I got my HOX on release day. the rogers store didn't even have any

All Stores should be getting back in stock this week. That's a sweet RZ deal.
Stores only carry the white in store. Grey is an online/special order.

What did you have to tell them to get hooked up?

All I told them was I received the deal in my email for the 100 dollar giftcard w/ any cell phone purchase (which i did less than 30 days ago) asked him what my options were , return it or if there was something he could do.

I just tried this, and they were snippy with me. They said that I'd have to return the phone. I mentioned that I "had a friend" who was just given the credit, and the rep said "I can neither confirm nor deny that." Sounded like a canned speech.

I am, yeah. I'm going to try again later today just to be sure. I'm interested in hearing if anyone else gets them to do this. I have and like my white one, and I don't really feel like having to go through the hassle of the return process.

He will be losing more than a little bit. After eBay, PayPal fees and shipping he will be losing about $120. Unless of course he is past his return widow then he has no choice but to sell it.

there is no restocking fee on an unopened item.......

Don't have access to the Market board yet, but Im looking to trade my One X and an iPhone 4 for an S3, or sell them to buy the S3.

sorry been at work. att rep told me 15% restocking fee as did the manager. weather it is opened or not. sorry for placing this in the wrong place. yes this is legit. 15% of 594 $89 I would rather help a fellow here who wants one. then take it back to the store. figure i would sell it here. and not loose ( give att) about 90$.

ok so after reading the receipt... i had 30 days... june 6th was that date... so now i either stick with it or sell it. i was looking forward to a GS3. but maybe this phone will do.

Coming from a evo I must say the build quality on the hox has improved greatly.
The camera is fantastic, even my 7 year old can take some impressive shots.
Rooting/unlocking boot loader is a walk in the park with the AIO tools, Id say if your looking to upgrade anyways keep the hox and rub that phone in your nephews face every chance you get.

i like that. just every day have it sit there and as he does my yard work just use it for like pandora for my out door system... lol put very good use to it. thats funny
