Been trying to follow a guide from here to flash my motorola defy +,, getting stuck when it comes to extracting the 2nd firmware file which is a Z01 file, iv tried winzip, winrar and 7zip nothing seems to work, where am i going wrong??

unable to extract or execute the RhodiumW_hardSPL_V1_10R3.exe file.
I have downloaded the RhodiumW-HardSPL_V1_10R3_100HSPL.zip but I can't extract or execute the RhodiumW_hardSPL_V1_10R3.exe file. I am using WinZip / 7 Zip and I can see the RhodiumW_hardSPL_V1_10R3.exe file, I select to extract it to a folder I created and the colored buttons in the lower right of winzip go from red to green like it's supposed to but nothing extracts to the folder, it's empty. I double click RhodiumW-HardSPL_V1_10R3_100HSPL.exe within WinZip and I get this error 'WinZip was unable to extract 'RhodiumW_hardSPL_V1_10R3.exe', terminating operation'. I have tried this on two separate systems but I get the same results.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

You may have a corrupted file. Try downloading it again. I just downloaded the zip file and it extracted with no problems.
I downloaded this file and for some reason I cant extract it. I've downloaded it from diff dl sites and still fails. I used winrar and 7z and i get the same error
Well I can extract everything else on my computer. But I was going to root my Transformer and downloaded the file from the guide, and it will NOT extract. Fails every time. Redownloaded it 5 times, Reset my computer. Cant figure out why I cant extract it. Any help?
thats bcause whever zipped it chose not to use the industry standard winrar or zip compression and decided to use 7-zip.

MODEM_I9100XXKG5_xxxxxx.tar.md5
GT-I9100-CSC-xxxxxx.tar.md5
I have downloaded the XXKG5 files from xda-developer BUT the package contains files like boot, cache, factoryfs, hidden, modem, param.lfs, sbl and zImage of which I cannot flash with ODIN.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would like to have XXKG5 on my SGS2.

i guess you extract the .tar file don't you? just double click 7e file that you originally download and use the extracted file as it is. do not need to extract once again.

I didn't. Yes I extracted the first compressed file dowloaded. Then all I get are the files like in Image 1. Since Odin cannot flash the compressed file in Image 1....IF I extracted the compressed file in Image 1 then all I get are the files like in Image 2...
As you can see, either way I can't flash with Odin.
If you downloaded from xda it shouldntt look like that.You only need to double click on the file and it extracts.if you didn't download from here then here it is

Read the first notice part about extracting the file to make sure you understand clearly.
Hello! Okay the title pretty much says it all, I have followed this guide to port the newly released MIUI 2.7.20 from the hercules to our skyrockets and to make the file switches i had to "extract" both archives. Now I have everything changed that needs to be but no way to re zip it to flash? I tried 7zip and Winrar and they just made a zip file that housed the original file inside (cant flash that). Any help would be great, Thanks
