I have had no luck with wallpaper on the G Tablet.
All I want is to have a 1024x600 image and have that be my wallpaper, and I don't want it to change if I rotate to portrait mode. (I mainly use my tablet in portrait mode.)
Using the built-in settings gives me a zoomed image when I go from landscape to portrait.
Using Multipicture Live Wallpaper I either get a zoomed screen or the image centered with black space and a reflection around it.
ALL I want to do is tell this thing, "Here is a 1024x600 image. Make this the wallpaper and DON'T change a thing when I rotate the tablet!" Is this possible?

Try Wallpaper Set and Save, it works for me.
Wallpaper still rotates when I rotate tablet. And it did this weird thing where it hid my launcher and I had to put it to sleep and wake it up to get my icons back.

So I'm using ADWLauncher EX and at first I didn't use wallpaper scrolling. Now when I switch it back on, I can't make a wallpaper in the gallery which can be used as a scrolling wallpaper.
It doesn't work in the default launcher either. The gallery only allows me to make a portrait wallpaper, not the landscape wallpaper necessary for scrolling.
I've cleared the data for the gallery, but I still can't select a landscape wallpaper.
how to set 800 X 1280 wallpaper properly so that the entire wallpaper is displayed and not some blurred, zoomed in part of the wallpaper.
P.S: iam using ADW launcher and the wallpaper scrolling is switched off.
To have the entire wallpaper displayed without zooming in you need a wallpaper with 1280×800 pixels (hight×width) not 800×1280

the screen resolution is always specified in W X H format and not in HxW format. so my wallpaper resolution is correct and i don't have problem when using wall switch app.
This isn't q&a section.

Sorry mate my bad I got it backwards
Do you have wallpaper scrolling enabled?
To use an 800x1280 wallpaper, you need to disable wallpaper scrolling.
To use wallpaper scrolling you need to have a wider wallpaper since it needs where to scroll. The perfect (native) size for a scrolling wallpaper on Note would be 1600x1280.
edit: nevermind, I missed the part where you said scrolling was switched off. How stupid of me
edit2: just tried switching off wallpaper scrolling and picking a correct-size wallpaper in portrait mode. Didn't work aswell (I also use ADW launcher). When choosing via QuickPic wallpaper, it doesn't even allow me to choose non-scrolling format. When choosing from gallery or using QuickPic and choosing "set as" -> "wallpaper", it allows me to choose the whole wallpaper but afterwards it is still zoomed in as if I had chosen it as a scrolling wallpaper. I don't really care about it, since I like scrolling wallpaper, but just saying I have the same problem. I'm on CheckROM v5 with Abyss v3.6
I use QuickPic to see my wallpapers without any loss in resolution. One thing I noticed about ADW is that if you're using Multipicture Live Wallpaper with it, the 800x1200 wallpapers are not cropped accurately, even when using QuickPic. Strangely, the cropping is fine once I change the launcher to TouchWiz or LauncherPro.
try to set wallpaper with twlauncher and then change to adw or other launcher.....
When you try to use a wallpaper from the device's galery on 4.0.3/4, ICS makes you resize the image so it fits your horizontal and vertical display when rotating the tablet.
However, preinstalled wallpapers are set as they are and don't need any kind of resize.
Is there any way of disabling the prompt for resize or installing the wallpaper like the preinstalled ones?

Hello.
As you are aware, it is not possible to pick a wallpaper for the One S without having to fill in the left and right fields in the wallpaper picker, whereas only the center field of the actual screen resolution is used. Especially in the Jelly Bean update this is an issue, as that version doesn't even have wallpaper scrolling, therefore having to pick wallpapers with extra margin is a pain in the royal hindbody especially if the image in question isn't widescreen but rather portrait.
Is there an app to fix this behavior, e.g. to either allow for [screen resolution only] wallpaper cropping or an app that allows the same during setup, and automatically adds black borders to the left and right (since these won't be visible given the lack of scrolling wallpaper)?
I use this to apply wallpapers

Or you can change launcher to one that lets you change how you set a wallpaper.
