[Q][RESOLVED] Ordroid v9.0.0 and messages - HTC Sensation

Hello everybody, first, I would to thanks developers for this amazing ROM, it's perfect ! But i've a bug more or less troublesome, I explain you : I often talk by sms, and sometimes, I receive messages only when I wake my device, so I must verify all time if I have a message... I can reply with 10 minutes of delay ! So I ask you if you have the same problem and/or a solution to resolve it. It's frustrating. Thank you in advance
Post of the ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1551714
PS : Sorry for my bad English

Up please

Hey!
The OrDroid ROM is finished, it will not be updated. What about trying the ViperS ROM? Shnizlon, the author of OrDroid ROM, joined the development of the ViperS ROM, give it a try It might solve your messaging problems.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671547

Hello, thanks for your reply ! Yes, I know, but I chose this ROM 'cause it's the same design of Sense 4.0 than official, and the ViperS ROM is a little modified... So I would like stay with this one... But thanks again !

Hello, thanks but I already tested InsertCoin (the last version) and I had the same problem, that's why I changed. And the SmartDroid ROM doesn't interest me 'cause it's not the official design... Sorry, I'm annoying
Thanks in advance.

What you need to do is experiment with several different roms then make your choice for your daily Rom .we are diverse people with different opinions and what might be right for me might not work for you, that said the very best way to choose is to try out several for yourself and see which Rom meets your needs.I like lightning and messaging works perfectly but This is the fun part the experimentation. So it's best to just make that decision on your own. Because it's very personal. So try out several on your own then decide which YOU like the best! Good luck and best wishes. Hope this helps.

If I am not mistaken, quite a number of people on sense 4 ROMs have experienced this problem.. have you tried wiping cache + dalvich then reflashing the ROM? If not try a full wipe or try changing kernel. (Although I'm sure the kernel is not the main culprit, but its worth a try.) Bro, dont forget to thank those whom have helped ya.

Thanks, but justly, that's this one who is the best for me, the only defect is this problem, so I would like a solution... But thanks again.

Thanks you too, oh really ? Yes, and the problem is always here... You think it will change anything ? I'll try this, thanks. Don't worry.

Nobody has a solution ? Thanks.

Sadly I believe ordroid is finished so it will continue to stay exactly as is. I know that the developer had moved to viper rom. Hopefully the issue your having with ordroid is something you can live with because I don't think there will be a solution. No more updates will come to ordroid anymore. Just so you know. If the issue is something you can't live with you have the option of changing roms! But if it's something you can live with, just know it won't be updated any more. Hope this helps. Sorry I can not solve the problem but I wanted to make sure you knew that ordroid is complete, and will remain the same without update. Best wishes to you.

Hello ! I found a solution ! Just disable the "MMS Screen On" tweak and after a reboot, enable it ! The only inconvenience is that the screen turns automatically when message arrives... But they arrives now !

[Q] anybody got android 4.01 roms?

Hello. I'm semi-bricked so I cannot use android 4.03 roms. They just don't work for me. I loved arhd 5.01 because I thought it would be awful but it isn't. It has epic speech recognition problems though, it just says unfortunately voice search has stopped. It says this for each of the voice needed applications. Does anybody have any other 4.01 roms? Preferably sense but I don't mind
You could try hypernonsense, so smooth, fast and stable.
Is it android 4.01 or gingerbread
Please stop flashing your phone until you know what you are doing. I would think after all of the trouble you had previously after flashing firmware being stuck with s on and your phone being in an unusable state you would have stopped messing with it.
Go back to stock and leave it alone. You are eventually gonna brick it. You need to do a lot of reading so you are not asking for help all day, everyday.

You know what you are doing, this user clearly doesn't. I am not being an ass, I flash my phone also but I read a lot. I read these forums thoroughly before doing anything. It's getting tiresome reading all of the problems people have all because they don't read.

Well im sorry but i dont want to start any arguements. I know exactly what i'm doing and why i am doing it. Android 4.01 roms are the only ones that work for me, yes i did make a fatal mistake but after much reading ( yes i did) i know what's happening
I'm furthermore 'sorry' if i have angered you experienced users but i have not really asked for help with my phone for a while now and i dont intend to. I wasn't posting this to be annoying, I just needed help finding android 4.01 roms and incase anybody else needed them.

Yes I flashed it. I think you should :
1. Flash 3.32 fw
2. Wipe data/ factory reset
3. Wipe cache partition
4. Wipe davlink cache
5.Flash virtuous 4.0.0
6. Reboot
Then if it work you can flash addons, kernels

[ROM]&[KERNEL] Beats by GROGG [ICS 4.0.3] [SENSE 3.6] They just work... ;)

Is there anyway to add the all in one mod from leedroid? Or atleast the leedroid tweaks to change some extended settings?

Awesome....we have bunch of new chefs here! Sensation is not dying anytime soon
Sounds like a really good rom if Mike didn't put all the features from the ARHD into his tmous rom I will flash to this one
Just a quick question about your firmware. My Sensation is unlocked, supercid, and rooted. The new firmware won't change any of that will it. If not I'm ready to flash away. I'll wait for your answer before I do however. Thanks, and glad to see this new ROM. For a flashaholic like me, it's like seeing a whole new life, LOL

Also, if you're already on ICS then you should still be able to use your current rom with the firmware.

Also I read that if we can unlock apns we can get hotspot to work with out paying

That may work as long as you don't over use it and get flagged on the carrier side. I'm looking into it...
The APN's are hard coded into the framework-res.apk. I should be able to port over the XE framework to get things working...

Cool rom. Downloading it right now, 38 minutes remaining. After being back and forth with Sense 4.0, AOSP, and 3.6, I'm actually starting to like 3.6 the most. Also, I love The Dude. Just throwing that out there.
Edit: Okay, hats off. Thank you SO MUCH for asking if we want social networking apps in the installer. The first thing I do during a rom install is Titanium Back + Pro and mass uninstall all that.
Edit2: I obnoxiously thanks'd like 7 of your posts.
really nice to see u grogg88, i used to follow closely on your cliq-xt work, will b hopefully u can generate also a beautiful cm9 rom with some of the other devs here, welcome back and will b waitin for your blessings lol

[Q] is there any way to flash or install htc sense on a jb costum rom separatly?

guys just flashed jb 4.2.2 on my sensation xe it works nice but dont have htc sense is it posible to flash any htc sense separatly?
I don't think so. Sense is an user interface that changes most of files of a rom.
What you can do is search for a sense theme in theme section (probably there isn't one) or wait for venom team fix and release jb sense version. They already got it working, but there's still some major bugs.
thing is. i wish i can dual boot with two different roms... i remember something like that long ago. i wonder if it works... i should search the thread.

Somethings wrong

Hey guys
My brother got the sensation a while ago, so i took it, rooted, and flashed a new rom.
I also think I updated the firmware because its running ICS(used to be 2.3).
Anyway, the phone is very laggy and slow plus when I get a call most time it reboots.
I flashed cyanogen rom (4.2.2) and through the set up it rebooted.
I wiped every thing before I installed CM.
Has any body experienced this before? any ideas?
Thank in advance m8s:good:

any ideas guys? could it be a hardware issue?
guys after flashing CM10 the phone works great but it over heats a lot and most of the time when I get a call, I answer, it reboots..
Whats the problem with this phone
I don't think it's a hardware issue. You could try a stock ROM or an RUU to see if the problem is fixed. Try clearing the cache and data from the phone app and see if that fixes it.

Before installing CM10, I cleared the cache and date, rest to factory and wiped dalvik cache. I always flash roms on my oneX and DHD but never experienced this problem.
I noticed something, after booting in CM10 for the first time, the prior venom wallpaper was there which was awkward...
could be this the recovery? Im currently using CWM flashed directly from play store.
PLZ help guys this phone is becoming very annoying, almost every call I receive it will reboot
Hmm...I am running out of ideas. I think you need to somehow re-install the phone.apk, but this is coming from a semi-noob. You might need a pro to help you on this.
One more idea... Did you try putting a piece of cardboard by the battery to keep it in properly (although it's only when you open the phone app)

Ill also try the card bored thing because I thing it reboots when I move the phone vertically.
Ill post back when I find the right solution.
Thanks again
Here it is...
As I mentioned in the first post that my brother uses the phone.
Sorry to disappoint you but the problem was from the battery
I dont know how i did not think about it.
I folded a piece of paper and placed it behind the battery and since then it never rebooted
THANKS GUYS!!!!
