If you own an Android, you have 36 TBytes free and synchronized

I opened time a go a thread where you could get 10 TBytes free and synchronized: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2506195
Tencent was behind this service and its eternal rival Qihoo countered with a service that allows you to obtain more than 36 TBytes. Also free and also with synchronized tool.
Leaving aside confidence issues and service continuity, this solution is better than Tencent's one and not only because the increase in disk space.
The synchronization tool is better with more available information about the process.
Qihoo also provides a desktop tool that allows you to access to your cloud disk as it were a USB external hard disk.
Another difference is that when you share a folder, the guest can see the content before download.

Attached is the translated apk to English but remember, it's not the last version. All credits goes for @imapk

nice... got new 36TB drive.. Thanks for the info.

After much trouble,I received 36 TB of space. After registration,I got 360 GB. With android client, 26 TB. The main problem was how to download Desktop tool from the Yunpan. Every time connection with their server was extremely slow and at the end cancelled! I search Baidu for backup of the client to download it. To save your time and nerves, here is my mirror:

The normal windows app does not upload for me anymore?

I still use Tencent instead of this, you can upload with high-speed at Tencent but not YunPan. I don't know why, may be Tencent's server is better ?
And I don't know Chinese, so I will not move to YunPan even it provide a lots of TB. :good:

yunpan 360 v3.7.32250 Partial Translation
i have translated the yunpan 360 for windows, based on version 3.7.3.2250, using Google Translate, and the file "language.ini" i found inside the installation directory,
this translated some of the menu items and submenus.
the translation is not accurate, feel free to change and post your modification.
Also attached small screenshot.
there is a small files inside the installation directory called 'language.ini'
in my case its under "C:\Program Files (x86)\360\360WangPan"
unpack and replace this file with the attached one, it will translate the menu and sub menu in some locations, and can be helpful
note, i modified the original file based on version 3.7.32250 (version can be found when clicking on the menu button on the upper left corner of the application and pressing "A")
hope it will help, 36TB is absolutely nice, and worth the struggle with the Chinese language.
hopefully there will be native English for the entire application bundle from yunpan

Hello, I went to filefactory and searched for that but it showed nothing. I have installed this on PC and Android but have not a clue
on how or what to do to set things up.......Welcome any advice or walkthrough.........

Ok, seriously confused. Referencing the 360 desktop application, the log-in screen has three fields, one with a person icon which I assume is the user email address, then two with locks on them. I'm using a 20-character random-generated password (thank you, KeePass), and it doesn't matter if I put it in the top, the bottom, or both, I get red cn characters telling me I did something wrong.
Can someone who can read simplified Chinese tell me what goes in which field? And lord help me, is this like Tennant which while allowing a long password in the web version will only allow 16-characters in the desktop app?
Edit: Ok, got past that to the log-in (apparently main screen is sign-up screen), and logged-in for the additional to 10T. Now trying to log in with Android app, and consistantly get "Operation Failed" (in the English translate, and I assume a similar error with the latest Android app from yunpan). So what am I doing wrong this time? Even changed my password from 20-characters to 15 to see if that would help, but no joy.
Edit (redux): I just can't get my phone to log into the yunpan account, so I downloaded one of the Android emulators (actually the Andy VirtualBox machine), installed the app there, and logged-in easily getting the entire 36T added to the account.

How can they offer these things? Obviously not every user is going to upload 36TB. If they did, I'm sure about 10 users would fill up their drives

you probably right, but this also applies to all Cloud Storage solutions, including Copy/Apple/OneDrive/DropBox Etc...

I am helping 2 local school students to develop a graphing app.
They want to use drawText in different (European) languages.to include accented letters
1. Can this be done with standard Android software?
2. Where is there some useful information?
It must be a common requirement, but we have not been able to find any solution

In case anyone else hits the problem - here's the cause and the solution:
Ensure that files containing text are created explicitly with UTF-8 encoding. We used save-as with word pad, and the accents appeared as intended.
We did not even realise that this was an option, or that our Android code would not make the conversion automatically.
Let us know if there is a better solution, since we have already inadvertently created new Ansi data files and our original problem recurred.
And just so that you know, what we have created is Entwickelt von Studenten für Studenten und ihre Lehrer, or, if you prefer, Conçu par les étudiants pour les étudiants et leurs professeurs

- no google contacts sync
- after one call, sound from speaker like from old headphones, change mixer_path doesnt help.
- any smart screen dont work
- proximity sensor always on - in deepsleep too
- s-view doesnt work
- no multiwindow
- any features miui8 like 2apps store doesnt work
Benefits:
- good bat life
- smooth, very smooth
- no lags
- gaps with market and chrome working awesome, but cant sync contacts (opengapps nano)
- S-pen work good

So I just recieved the update and it is actually alpha and not beta. It has a few bugs. Some places in the system got a new design including the setting background texture and the Gallery which I don't like the new Gallery design.

By the way, what IMEI did you use for the Beta registration? I used the IMEI fro primary SIM, but I still do not have the alpha update appearing. I know they rollout in batches.

Only minor changes in some official apps designs such as messages and contacts apps. They removed theme colors [ Probably they will bring it back with the final release as they did that before ]
But what so obvious is that this alpha update is smoother than the last stable update. It is polished unlike the previous stable update.

The revision 7.2 is out in beta.

Espero que salga pronto la OTA. para mi R1. El GRAN PROBLEMA DE SMARTISAN son las NOTIFICACIONES que no aparecen en el LOCK SCREEN y en whatsapp tampoco aparecen algunas veces. Por lo demas es el movil perfecto.

Do you know how to fix the smartisan to get notifications on lock screen and fix whatsapp notifications (someimes doesn´t work???

I would like to know too, as if someone calls me through WhatsApp it doesn't ring. I only get missed calls messages when I've gone back into the app. Lastly, very disappointed to see that version 7 of the OS is still Android 8. Have they updated the security patches??

Espero que salga pronto la OTA. para mi R1. El GRAN PROBLEMA DE SMARTISAN son las NOTIFICACIONES que no aparecen en el LOCK SCREEN y en whatsapp tampoco aparecen algunas veces. Por lo demas es el movil perfecto.
I now have both models (R1 and PRO 3). I like gallery design and other things of R1. Although Pro 3 has Android 9 and R1 only Android 8
I hope the OTA comes out soon. for my R1. The GREAT PROBLEM OF SMARTISAN is the NOTIFICATIONS that do not appear on the LOCK SCREEN and whatsapp does not appear sometimes. For the rest it is the perfect mobile.

Do you know how to fix the smartisan to get notifications on lock screen and fix whatsapp notifications (someimes doesn´t work???

Smartisan does not upgrade Android version but it does update the security patch. Both R1 and Pro 3 are currently on December patch. ( you can check that using DevCheck app )
As for notifications, here is my list of tips and I hope it helps:
1- Go to Notification Center in settings and make sure everything is ON.
2- Go to the following apps and give them all the permissions:
Google Account Manager
Google Calander Sync
Google Contacts Sync
Google Play Services
Google Play Store
Google Services Framework
Gmail
WhatsApp and any app you need to recieve its notifications.
3- Go to Network Regulator in Phone Manager ---> Network Management. Tap the gear icon at the top right corner, and make it [ Never ] for the following apps:
Google Account Manager
Google Calander Sync
Google Contacts Sync
Google Play Services
Google Play Store
Google Services Framework
Gmail
WhatsApp and any app you need to recieve its notifications.
4- Pin the apps you want to receive their notifications in the background ( I suppose you know how to do it )
5- After every reboot, open the apps you want to receive their notifications once.
