Boot Loop Samsung GT-S6802 - General Questions and Answers

Hello,
I know this problem it's nothing new. I try to explain my problem anyway because I couldn't find a solution yet.
I try to root my Samsung GT-S6802 but when I reboot the boot screen won't disappear. I find on XDA I have to use Odin, but it's hard to find the original rom, it's okay if I use a different one? Please suggest me a rom, because I'm pretty newbie at this.
Thanks.

The only thing i found for this phone besides root ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1759284 ) witch worked perfect for me, is this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1832071 just that this is indian firmware

It sounds like you have a soft brick. Maybe you should try flashing your stock firmware back using flashtool. this will make your device normal again.
Keep in mind that new roms on first boot will take longer to boot up than usual. 10-15 minutes.
I have created a guide for the x8 about getting out of a soft brick HERE
Even though it isn't the same phone, try it.
Please thank me if you appreciate my effort to help.

Try to odin maybe helps.

i think is better to go to the store where you bought it and ask for a new phone or service couse it should be free.... beeing a new phone

[Q] Wifi 3.1 Xoom stuck in Boot Video

Hi, first of all thanks in advance to anyone who will try and solve my problem.
I unlocked my xoom using thi tread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=967065
and rooted it using this tread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1078019
after that I successfully opened and checked my phone. It was rooted with super user and everything.
I tried to enable the market for everthing so I used this tread for enabling market with replacing build.prop method.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1065698
As soon as I restarted the xoom couldnt get past the video introduction.
Now, I have tried getting into recovery and doing factory reset and everything but I cannot seem to get past the video..
I am genuinely scared if I bricked the tablet...
Any help will be very much appreciated.

Hi Cozzeck,Can you possibly post a link for a guide to flashing back to stock? I don't want to mess it up further by doing something wrong.
And also, do you advice to try and root it again after fixing it?
Thank you, in advance...
I sent you a pm

Like you read up, you need to back to stock and do the procedure to root again.
Look for the stock image on the android development section, install it by clockwork recovery, and after get on stock do the procedure for root again.
If you have question u can PM me.
See ya!

Phone might be soft bricked. HELP PLEASE.

To start off I have a samsung galaxy s 4g for t-mobile obviously. I was on the 2.3.7 AOSPSTYLE X rom but being the dumbass I am I flashed RaverX3X's Kj6-Rom-CWM-Offical-GB-2.3.6.
Here is the thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351783
Well I flashed it in the cwm recovery and afterwards I rebooted and I ended up with the phone stuck on the galaxy s 4g 'exclusively from T-Mobile' splash screen. I also ended up with the stock recovery because I did not read the description of this 'Rom'. Is there any way I could fix this? Please help.
as always.....odin is your friend....
also you could try to reflash it alot of times that works.... the problem i see is no one reads any more and so the forums keep gettin cluttered up with help me i dont feel like searching....tell me what to do.

Odin?
I have heard of this odin but what is it? I've never used it in my life and I don't know how to even flash it. Can you give me details? Thanks!
Go to the second link in my signature and follow the guide and you will be good to go.

[Q] just to clarify things?!?!

If someone could clear this up, that would be awesome!
Do you, or do you not have to manually unlock ur bootloader? Or does it happen automatically root or flash cwm? Cause it seems like it happens automatically but I never had a device that does so. So hopefully someone can clarify before I flash a rom (which I would like to asap)
Also, is cwm recovery in rom manager the same thing as in flashing threw Odin on ur comp. I believe I read you can do both.
So ya. If someone can help. The thank button will be click and will be very much appreciated
Samsung devices come with an unlocked bootloader. You don't need to mess with it. Just root with Odin.

No, it don't turn on, and that is The problem,
To get into download mode
Remove battery & plug in usb cord to computer. While holding both*[Volume Down/Up]*buttons, drop in battery.
Does computer give up any notification? Sometimes a black screen is still download mode.
So you flashed a galaxy s ROM on this model?

Check out this old thread. I doubt Adam will still do the mod for that price, but, I'm sure he will point you in right direction.

Edit: Try the method to put a vibrant into download mode. I've forgotten that combination

I can't contact him, could you tell me if I replace the board the phone will fix?
I think that wil be a better way to my because I can do it myself just buying the board on ebay.
Buy or make you a jig.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=8822843
If a jig doesn't get you into download mode, jtag services maybe the only way.
