So xkonni recently updated CM10 to fix battery drain and many issues. I'm currently running CM9 should I update? Please send battery log pics with latest update.

Go for it.. I don't have my screenshot in my laptop but I got 2 days and 3.5 hours screen time.. Plus it's silky smooth..

The hackfest is pretty stable. Battery life is the biggest issue though.

Usually people/devs who like high specs devices at the time of release just get the newest/greatest and jump ship!
At time of release it was the first dual core phone.

This is the best rom my phone has ever seen tbh, I'm getting sooooooooooooo much better battery life, I expected the battery to run out in a hours time with templerun/bluetooth/dataroaming/wifi/max 100% brightness, I got bored waiting so I just stopped but my battery life was much better, my g2x hated every other rom but this apparently, my battery would disapear with nothing but data on and screen off with cpu set to minimal performance.
I suggest trying hackfest, if your phones like mine it'll love the battery.

[Q] Any good camera mods???

The official CM development for the HOX is nearly at a stop, so in order to keep the original CM treat clean (talking CM and just CM) they have opened this one.

So, I tried ViperXL today....
Wait.. Nevermind.
Yeah people were starting to argue in the CM thread about small things. I think we are just really anxious lol. We will see some action eventually though. I see things are being merged in the changelong site. For now, let's sit back and relax.

The only thing that bothers me about this ROM is the screen tearing. That's it. I know its such a small thing to care about but it bugs the crap out of me. Lol.
I tried a kernel that is supposed to help with HW Overlays disabled.. And while this fixed the tearing, I now experience freezing while on calls. Its random when it does it. But it does it enough to warrant switching back to the stock kernel. Irritating to the highest degree.
Can't wait til h8 gets everything sorted out!
Sent from my One X using xda app-developers app
I also cannot stand the screen tearing, and disabling hardware overlays was making my phone hot. Sticking with viper until the new kernel is ready, but I can't wait. I love AOSP way more than sense-based roms. I like it to match my Nexus 7.

Oh. I have a Speck case and the power & volume buttons are UBER stiff.
I stopped using a case... I'm surprised I haven't cracked it but maybe that speaks to it's outstanding build quality. I might have dropped it maybe 5 times without a case? No scuffs or sign of damage at all. Just scratches on the glass but nothing major. It's also insured so you know... whatever.
But I'm a fan of the power button. I didn't think I would be but it's held up pretty well and isn't stiff or too worn out over the course of 11 months.

Android 4.3 - Coming To Infuse?

Developers at Android Police have already been picking apart 4.3. It's available for install on S4.
Have any Infuse developers started playing with it yet?
Omg! I can't wait!

You mean the 5.0? Personally I don't think there's more to 4.3 than a few cosmetic touches here and there.. Can't wait to see what's in stock for 5.0, I read it somewhere that will compatible with low end devices. And here's hoping this brilliant phone can handle it.

Shouldn't say that even if no one still likes GB, I'm glad wolfen likes GB, I wish more infuse ppl would use GB and ICS a side of JB. Only if the infuse had a boot loader...
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Dont get me wrong, it was way ahead of its time. But compared to now, it plain sucks. I wasnt being arrogant, just stating by todays standards. Trust me, I appreciate gb and without it we wouldnt be anywhere
Sent from my Note 2 using Tapatalk 4
The original purpose of this thread was simply an appreciation that 4.3 is now leaked, which means it's only a matter of time before we see it available for other smart phones, regardless of whether its changes are big or small. The same goes for 5.0.
That's the beauty of open source. While some are more comfortable staying with GB, many get the benefits of what's available in the new releases. Very glad for that.
And very grateful for our developers who give their time freely to benefit a much larger community.
I'm definitely looking forward to the new notifications API in 4.3. I hope it comes soon, so that my liveview (Sony Smartwatch predecessor) can actually be useful.
Carbonrom Is
Carbonrom is currently coding android 4.3. I'm 99% sure it'll be for the infuse. A nightly will be available soon, hopefully.
I loaded 4.3 CM10.2 a few days ago. Totally awesome. Andros11 mentioned he'll have CarbonRom out in a few days.

Evidently, the Carbon 4.3 was released prematurely and was taken back down. Fortunately, I put it on my wife's Infuse and it has been preforming flawlessly! As a matter of fact, it seems that 4.3 runs much better than 4.2 ever did.

Kit Kat Rom

I've gotta ask the question...
How long do we think it'll be until we see Kit Kat on our phones? AOSP of course, not TW.
End of the month I'm guessing?

I've been wondering the same thing but from the looks of things I think it might be longer. So far Nexus devices sort of have it, but it's extremely alpha. Your best best is to watch CMs Google+ page for the release on the nexus devices. Once that hits the person responsible for our device needs to get the drivers working. Basically we are waiting on CM to get a working product. Paranoid is working on it too but they aren't trying to get PA to work because they are planning on rewriting the entire ROM for Kitkat I think.
And the answer is... November 10th!
Wow devs, you've outdone yourselves here!
