RemICS 1.5.3 is becoming slow - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

I was an user of DDLF2 earlier, then downgraded to XXKPQ to install RemICS 1.5.3
I rooted my phone then installed RemICS 1.5.3 from scratch. Everything is working fine now, but the ROM is slow to response.
Everyday phone is becoming slower then previous day.
I had used this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695175
Are there any fix for this?
Kindly help guys.

Clear cache, dalvic cache and fix permissions in advanced tab.

It's a beautiful ROM, but it's becoming slower over time.
After some weeks using it, the ROM becomes slow and with much lag.
Now I'm using CM9 Alpha 11 with TWICS MOD for get the Galaxy S3 appearence.
CM9 it's very stable and fast.
Sorry for my bad English.
Greetings!

Same prob with me on both cm9 and aokp, rom getting older day by day

[Q] ddtk3 or cm7.2 rc5.5

i flashed cm7.2 rc5.5 directly over gingerbread 2.3.4
it seems smooth and stuff but many apps fc that didnt happen in gb
the ddtk3 seems to be very stable and stuff
so which one is better? im not THAT much into customizability so cm isnt really a must
which one will give better battery back up and stability?
performance of the 2.3.4 was enough more or less enough for me
thanks
Eu prefer DDKT3 (2.3.6). Este stabil si rapid.
DDKT3 Very Stable and Smooth
Or u can try this..flash cm7 rc5.5 over ddkt3..cm is the best customized rom n runs smooth on our phones..pretty stable as well
Oh I also tried the new cm7.2 rc0 by vish and that was very smooth too but the problem is that they keep getting updated very frequently and getting my data deleted after every install is tiresome. And also ddtk3 didn't seem that smooth on my phone
Even after rooting it using rajrocks deoxed thing it's quite slow and laggy. Maybe because cm is just faster or what I dont know. Help!

look, if dont want sett all time new update etc etc, just put ddkt3, root it, u can also put deodexed update from raj, but not necessary, and put v6 supercharger ad leave phone alone. u should get 2 days battery life .

Stable OS replacement for stock froyo?

I have been using froyo since I bought the phone. I have been resistant to replacing it with a custom ROM because that always led me down a road of instability on past phones but from what I see of ICS, it looks like a very good upgrade.
That being said, the current jelly beans upgrade still has bugs (namely gps) so I was wondering if there are any previous OS replacements of gingerbread or is that are stable and fully functional?

"gingerbread or ICS"
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
Most stable and completely functional would be GB roms like Emancipation or Aeon.
ICS is also quite stable and functional, except for the 720 video recording being choppy, but if it is something you don't use then this could be the one for you. I would recommend cm9, uniyumaporn or remICS-ux
Sent from my sweet and buttery Infuse
most stable and smooth would be stock samsung gingerbread. but cm9 is also a very good choice(smoother than stock actually but no mhl). and gapps in ics are much improved. voice search in particular is way more usable.
I would suggest Aeon for stability.
There are still a handful of bugs on CM9 and CM10. Nothing that stops us early adopters...
if GPS were fixed JB
For stability I loved Emann. Then switched to uniporn until cm10 got GPS up and running. From my experience, as of now Scotts cm10 8/8 build with 7/26 gapps is running perfect for me. I haven't moved to the 8/10 build yet because I don't have use for the mtd partitioning as of yet. I've always had the mind set of don't change a running system. If new features come out in a later build I will definitely update to it. But right now my phone is running super smooth. With working GPS

Don't go JB for at least a couple months. The builds are unstable and they come frequently.
I would go for Entropy CM9 as even if a new build is released you can just flash it on top with no wipe (keep your apps/settings)

Go to the development threads and seek your stable rom, stability is up to what you do with your device.
As these threads are way too similar to "best" rom threads, and they always become arguments over what rom is best/stable - This thread is closed.

Whats a good ROM and setup for the Verizon galaxy s3

So I've flashed a couple ROMs and I'm having bad luck with them. I've tried everything possible to fix the issues and no luck. So I'm just curious to see what ROMs everyone else is using and what setup they have so I can try them out. Thanks!!

I'm currently running jelly beans build 5 by beanstown and loving it. I just flashed imo's lean kernel 1 so I will see how that goes but I give this ROM 2 thumbs up. What type problems are you having. Are you doing full wipes and are you on the latest radios. If it is the media drain for the battery you have to let it all settle in. I always do a full wipe flash the ROM then reboot. I then wait 5 to 10 min after it first loads before I even touch it. Then I set it all up. Hope this helps some

I was running beans5 too. i loved it as well. it is almost like the perfect marriage of aosp and TW.( you have the TW features with the aosp appearence) only my phone kept locking with sms. so i am running galaxymod now and it is great.
I've flashed beans town build 5 I've tryed aokp,cm10,jelly wiz, and all them either had static while making calls or WiFi not working right or when I use certain apps it will open the app then just close out of the apps...before I flash them I do a factory reset then wipe cache/delvik cache then flash ROM and after phone boots up I let it set for 10 to 15 mins...and then I'll go back into recovery and wipe cache/delvik cache then do a fix permission and nothing seems to work.

Have you tried flashing the latest radio? Are you restoring apps+data with Titanium Backup or another app or just apps?
I'm using Synergy R125 with Leankernel TW JB 1.0 using the latest radio and rpm, and stability and battery life are both excellent.
When I flashed the latest release I did the first clean flash I've done in a while when flashing the same ROM (overdue for it), I only restored apps (no data) from TiBu with a few exceptions. Also, though it won't help the issues you've had, I moved everything from my SD card to my computer, formatted the card, cleaned out some stuff and then coppied everything back to the SD card.
CleanROM?
How you guys get good battery life on CleanROM 5? It's a battery drain for me and it isn't the media server issue...
Been on Beans Build 5 for a week and it has been great. Battery life good as well. Couple of issues with Google Play Music, but other than that, Love it!
Beans build 5 with imo's lK 1.0 and I just got 18 hours of battery with 4 hours screen time and I was at 32%. I can't ask for anything more than that. I am very happy with this set up.

I get the best battery and I like the green. Synergy is awesome with similar battery but the Aroma installer and what I can pick is the lock!

Re :
I'm a happy user of CM10 !
At the first glance, I was skeptical about losing stock recovery to CWM since I have always been depending on sammobile releases stock ROM to update my device be it from my own country or others. (with this being said, I already did some research on how to get back to stock ROM )
But, I must say CM10 is the best ROM I have ever used so far :good:

But sir.. as i have read from the CM 10 thread.. there a problems that comes with it.. i wont specify it all but can you enumerate some problems that you encountered so far.. thanks!
Sent from my GT-P6200 using XDA Premium HD app
I have used both CM10 and Paranoid Android 2.50 but both we're not as fast as Stock ICS ROM.
CM10 made a lot of things laggy including applications and games that were pretty much seamless on stock.
Paranoid was faster than CM10 in terms of navigation and usage as a normal phone/tab, but when it comes to intensive use, both CM10 and PA2.50 suffers.
So I suggest you use the Stock ICS ROM with some tweaks. PIMP MY ROM for example is a good choice. Seeder is a nice addition and Greenify will take you all the way to the top.

Well, apart from the smoothness is slightly slower than the stock ICS when playing games as per what's the above reply, i havn't encounter any major problems.
A few things that i can highlight so far are :
1. Wifi is more stable than stock ICS. I can stay connected from 6pm all the way to 8am the next morning. Back then using ICS, sometimes the wifi will just lost and I have to reconnect to the router in my house.
2. Despite the stable wifi, the battery consumption using wifi is worst than using stock ICS.
3. Data connection is a little unstable when it comes to changing HSDPA mode to EDGE mode. Sometimes have to restart the device.
Anyhow, apart from the above issues I am happy with this ROM currently. I'm just bored using stock ICS anyway. Haha.

Query about CM9 ROM's ;) :P

Hello Developers! :highfive:
I have been flashing my device with new ROM's since a long time. I tried almost all type of ROM's. The basic query i have about CM9 ROM's is that why does the CM9 ROM start lagging and malfunctioning after some time? Most of the CM9 ROM's i used started lagging after a few days. Is it because I'm flashing it the wrong way? Or what? Is there a solution to this?
today i has flashed a cm9 without any bug, it's faster, but i will install various apps to see if it become slower than today

Indeed CM9 is laggy, but i encounter 2 of them to be very cool.
I recently installed KITKAT SANDWICH V 1.0 then installed the odex script from original link and full odex the rom, after that it is awesome
and for sd-ext i used Mount2SD.
PS: Sometimes flashing a good kernel makes the difference, sometimes a performance script....depends on the rom.
